I have been to #lisbon on the #navigatoroftheseas a few years back. It is for sure one of my favourite European ports. The town has a lot of character with its old streets and red tiled roofs, you can easily move around on quaint electric tramways and the pastei de nata are delicious. Have you been there already? I have been on #independanceoftheseas a few year back. She was in port at #cartagena in Spain when I took her picture. I think those freedom class ships are OK, but I prefer the smaller #rccl ones like the voyager class or the brilliance class. My main grippe with those big ones (apart from the size) is the open solarium: sunburns in the pool under hot climate and too cold in colder climates. Have you been on a #freedomoftheseas class ship? OK, so MSC Cruises (Mediterranean Shipping Company) isn’t actually stealing anything here with their brand-new cruise ship MSC Seaside!

But, from this angle (above), it sure looks like the MIami-homeported vessel has lifted a bank of swank shoreline condos (South Beach – anything missing?) onto a barge….to take them….wherever.

Actually, MSC Seaside is being touted as an innovative addition to North American cruising. So far, the reviews and opinions range from love to horror.

      MSC Seaside looks a bit more like a cruise ship from this angle.

I guess I’ll just have to go see for myself….with a probably-very-nice two-week cruise aboard MSC Seaside!

(I know….it’s a tough job….but somebody has to do it!)

I am amazed at how people claim to have fallen off a #cruiseship by accident.
