I've been struggling to write, and when I thought I've finally got it right, the words start to pull away like soldiers in retreat. I try to write to let these feelings out but words suddenly disappear like an animal cowering in fear. My heart yearns to write to release these emotions forth but the words refuse to take shape like air I try to grasp. The blank paper The blank Microsoft document The unmoving pen in my hand The muted tapping of the keyboard They don't reflect the feelings, myriad, consuming and struggling to escape; the thoughts haunting me, regrets and dreams the realisations I come across, the understandings I reconcile with. Only when it concerns you, that I am faced with a blank paper, as if no words in existence can ever do you justice. Once a upon a time you were all I wrote about now every thought of you is a blank crisp paper I cannot even start to write.

You: how? You don't just stop liking someone.

Me: I didn't say it was easy... but I guess I stopped liking him the same way I started liking him.

You: and that is?

I still remember how I felt when I received my mark for one of my mid semester exams. I didn't fail but I was shattered, not because it wasn't a high mark but rather, it was because it was the same mark I got when I failed the course the previous year. It made me realise how I didn't improve at all. And if I didn't start working harder, I'd fail that course again. I didn't want that to happen. So I worked harder than ever and the results was astounding.
