One thing i dont see much said is how for gems more "feminine" style of clothing is for them is associated with relaxing/having fun. The sleeping clothes, the clothes during teacher's birthday. And how those not being comfortable for fighting is part of it, because fighting isn't included in "relaxing". Even Antarc's choice of clothes being more or less "masculine"/simple on earth could be because she's like a soldier, always at ready. I'd say that's also the reason of Cairngorm's aestivation sleepwear being the casual one gems usually wear instead of the special aestivation one (if we assume she was going back to it in the casual sleepwear after Phos got taken to the moon by the plan), as she is made to be like Antarc, always ready like a soldier.

Im surprised at people acting like Kris is jealous of Suselle in romantic sense is canon. Apparently i got an obsidian with silver sheen, which is, according to this, is due to inclusions of feldspar or cristobalite within the obsidian.

the topic of identity and roles in story are really interesting to me. too bad many people "deep" view on those ends on gender, and not even by denouncing those, but by defining them based on that
