men are not “helping out” when they take care of their children… they’re taking care of their children.
10 Hadiths on the Importance of Manners

Anas رحمه الله said, ❝I served Rasulullah ﷺ for 10 years. During that time, he never once said to me as much as ‘Oof’ if I did something wrong. He never asked me, if I had failed to do something, ‘Why did you not do it?,’ and he never said to me, if I had done something wrong, ‘Why did you do it? ❞ [Hadith Al-Bukhari]
Abu Hurairah رحمه الله said : ❝Rasulullah ﷺ said, “If one has good manners, one may attain the same level of merit as those who spend their nights in prayer.❞ [Hadith Al-Bukhari]
Abu Hurairah رحمه الله reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said, ❝And what is most likely to send people to Paradise? Being conscious of Allah and good manners.❞ [Hadith Al-Bukhari]
Nawas ibn Sam’an reported that Rasulullah ﷺ was asked about doing good and evil. He replied, ❝Doing good is having good manners. Doing evil is what troubles you inside and what you would not like others to know about.❞ [Hadith Al-Bukhari]
Rasulullah ﷺ said, ❝He who does not show mercy to our young or show esteem for our elders is not one of us.❞ [Hadith Al-Bukhari]
Abu Hurairah رحمه الله reported that Rasulullah ﷺ said, ❝Richness does not lie in the abundance of (worldly) goods, but richness is the richness of the soul (heart, self).❞ [Hadith Muslim]
Every John green book: my name is Kirk assgun and I m not cool or popular and I’m bullied everyday because I fuck comic books and I watch this really cool show called the Big Bang theory. But it’s okay because I at least have 2 other bros and 1 convenient negro friend. You see that girl over there? That’s kaydence Tigerlilly Dookieson. SHe is the love of my life. She is misunderstood and like really cool indie bands like Coldplay and she’s been smoking since she was 7. She’s not like other girls. If only she would realize that the missing key to her life was me, a greasy white boy
Listen carefully to how a person speaks about others, this is how they speak about you to others

I think one of the saddest things is when two people really get to know each other: their secrets, their fears, their favorite things, what they love, what they hate, literally everything, and they go back to being strangers. It’s like you have to walk past them and pretend like you never knew them, never even talked to them before, when really, you know everything about them.
