Good tidings to you, good sirs and madams. I have for you what appears to be a jolly good fellow, looking dapper and distinguished in proper gentlehippo’s attire. However, no fancy top hat or monocle can disguise the fact that this hippo is no proper gentlehippo. Observe the excess or fur, the pinkish tint of the nose and the obviously un-hippo-like ears. Don’t let this imposter fool you!
Vets are supposed to love animals. But this vet just can’t deal with how terrible this hippo is. The volume of fur is unacceptable and downright strange for the breed. It seems oddly long as well. Too much stretching and yoga? Two things real hippos have no need for.
This is a terrible, terrible hippo (the fur, the claws, the hat...etc) but he don’t care what anybody thinkz.
If you’re familiar with my blog, you’ll know that one my chief complaints with the hippos that I post is that they’re far too dry and not at all shiny/oily. At least this hippo looks like it’s willing to get do something about it and take a dip in the pool. Not without proper eye protection though!

This hippo is actually kinda awesome because it can fly. Other than that, however, it's a pretty poor example of a hippo.Â
When life beats you down (like it often does when you're a terrible hippo), sometimes you just need a stiff drink.
Yet another unfortunate example of one who turned to the drink after being teased about his hideous whiskers, repulsive furry white paws and just a general fluffy softness unbecoming of a hippo.
This is a terrible hippo! Far too fluffy and definitely too dry.
I don’t get it. Is this some kind of joke. The cats I write about are no laughing matter.
I assure you, this is no joke. I'm posting on the behalf of the International Council for the Humane Treatment of Terrible Hippos in order to spread awareness of the plight of genetically deformed hippopotami. These unfortunate hippos have a rare condition that causes fur growth, pointy ears, stunted growth and suppresses their desire to consume mass quantities of marbles. It is very sad and quite serious.
Mmmm... I love me a good hippo-rrito but with this one it'd be a drag picking the fur out of my teeth.
It's tough being different. Even weird, fluffy hippos like this one need hugs.Â

I'll give props where props are due. This may be a terrible hippo but at least she's trying!
Not merely a bad hippo but a touch evil as well. You can see it in his eyes that he's scheming something terrible.
This little guy is praying that he'll grow up to be a proper hippo, not this over-furred, pointy eared monstrosity that he is now.Â
