I came here to say this.

Yes, talking about BLM is important now more than ever. Yes, expecting your fav to do more is okay. Feeling disappointed is valid. But to feel entitled enough to criticize every move of taylors when you don't even know what shes been doing behind the scenes or how much shes doing is beyond embarrassing. Also, what i don't understand is why should a white celebrity or what they are doing be the center of narrative of such a moment? Yes Taylor has a platform. But WE ARE THAT PLATFORM THAT TAYLOR HAS. If you are outraged, lets organize something we can do together as a fandom. Lets show how much power our numbers hold. Lets try to do something together as a community for good.

If you are spending your most of time dissecting what and how much your white fav has done for the moment and not outraged enough about the moment itself, then m sorry you are are not disappointed in Taylor but you are disappointed that she hasn't passed your "satisfactory" Level of activism so that you can feel superior on here or Twitter.

In 2020 Taylor opened her purse for Nashville flood relief, for covid 19 funds, for feed America, for many of us suffering through a pandemic, for the employees of a small record store owner and now for BLM. And no i will not glorify this and make this about her, but i am super proud of what shes doing.

And Miss Americana was about her personal journey from being afraid to voice her opinions to not afraid anymore. But also about her struggle with her weight, her mom, her assault, finding love, finding acceptance within herself. And so so much more.

To think Indian Swifties were able to collect 30k in just over 4 days is the most incredible thing i have witnessed as the organizer of this project along with @swiftieforsure and @poulam1 and @CrazyViku on Twitter. We really started this project to help an underprivileged girl johnsy see daylight with a target goal of 16k which seemed almost too big to achieve. To see our community(swifties ofc) come together so willingly to give in the name of Taylor and be able to help not just johnsy but vinod too was the most overwhelming experience.

I also want to thank all the Chinese swifties who keep organizing amazing projects for Taylors birthday every year and the American swifties who collected more than 13k in name of Andrea Swift to give to Cancer Society. These kind of news makes me proud of us as a fandom and gives me the hope that may be Taylor is proud of us too.

Taylor once said " No matter what happens in life be good to people. Being good to people is a wonderful legacy to live behind." And it seems like Swifties took it to their hearts.

After such a heartwarming success of our endeavor, we have decided to do this annually every year for her birthday.
