You don't know what you got
'Till it's gone, my dear
✧・゚: ✧・゚: :・゚✧:・゚✧
You always knew that loving Ona Batlle would never be simple.
Not because she made it hard—she never did—but because football had a way of pulling people in different directions, no matter how tightly they held on to each other.
Back at Manchester United Women, everything had felt easy. Natural. You and Ona were just… you. Late training sessions that turned into shared dinners, quiet bus rides where your hand would find hers without thinking, laughter echoing through empty locker rooms.
“Stay a little longer,” she had murmured once, leaning against you as the stadium lights dimmed.
“I will,” you promised, brushing your thumb over her knuckles. “As long as you’re here.”
And you meant it.
But football doesn’t wait for promises.
When the offers came, they came fast. You to FC Bayern Munich Women. Her to FC Barcelona Femení.
Two different countries. Two different futures.
You still remember the night you told her.
“We’ll make it work,” you said immediately, almost too quickly, like saying it first would make it true.
Ona didn’t answer right away. She just looked at you—really looked at you—and you could already see the conflict in her eyes.
“I don’t want to lose you,” she said quietly.
“Then don’t.”
“It’s not that simple,” she replied, her voice softer now. “Distance… it changes things.”
“It doesn’t have to change us.”
She shook her head slightly, stepping closer, her hand resting against your cheek. “You deserve more than a screen and missed calls after training.”
“And you deserve someone who stays,” you whispered back.
Silence stretched between you.
“I’m scared,” she admitted.
“Me too.”
That was the problem. Neither of you was wrong. Neither of you was ready to let go, but neither of you could promise what the other needed.
“I don’t think I can do long distance,” Ona finally said, her voice breaking just enough for you to feel it in your chest.
Your breath caught. “So that’s it?”
“I think… it has to be,” she said, even though her hand hadn’t left your face.
You nodded, even though it felt like your whole world tilted. “Okay.”
She pulled you into a hug then—tight, like she was trying to memorize you. And maybe she was.
“I love you,” she whispered into your shoulder.
“I know,” you answered, because if you said it back, you weren’t sure you’d be able to let go.

Munich was everything you worked for. Faster, sharper, bigger. You settled into life at Bayern, surrounded by new teammates, new expectations.
Georgia Stanway made it easier.
“You’re thinking about her again, aren’t you?” she said one evening after training, tossing you a bottle of water.
You huffed a quiet laugh. “Am I that obvious?”
“Only every time Barcelona is mentioned,” she teased gently, then softened. “You don’t have to pretend with me.”
You nodded. “I just… I thought we had more time.”
Georgia leaned against the locker beside you. “Sometimes it’s not about time. It’s about timing.”
You glanced down. “Yeah.”
Meanwhile, Ona was building something incredible in Barcelona. You saw it in highlights, in interviews, in the way her name kept appearing everywhere.
Sometimes, you wondered if she thought about you too.
✧・゚: ✧・゚: :・゚✧:・゚✧
Months passed.
Then one match changed everything.
An international break. Spain vs. Germany.
You saw her before she saw you.
Same focused expression. Same way she adjusted her socks before stepping onto the pitch. Some things never changed.
After the match, the noise of the stadium faded behind you as players moved around, laughing, talking, living in a world that suddenly felt too loud.
And then she was there.
Closer than she had been in months.
“Hi,” Ona said softly.
“Hi.”
Neither of you moved at first.
“You look good,” she added.
“So do you.”
A small, familiar smile tugged at her lips. “I’ve missed you.”
The words hit harder than you expected. “Ona…”
“I know,” she interrupted gently. “I know why we ended things. I don’t regret being honest with you.”
“Neither do I,” you said. “You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“Neither did you.”
There it was again. No villain. Just two people who loved each other at the wrong time.
She stepped a little closer. “But I think about you. More than I should.”
You let out a breath. “Me too.”
A pause.
“Do you think…” she hesitated, searching your face, “if things were different—”
“They’re not,” you said softly, not to shut her down, but to keep both of you grounded.
She nodded. “Yeah.”
“But that doesn’t mean what we had wasn’t real.”
“It was,” she said immediately. “It still is, in a way.”
You smiled faintly. “Yeah.”
Another silence, but this one wasn’t heavy. Just… honest.
“Can I hug you?” she asked.
You didn’t answer with words. You just stepped forward.
And when her arms wrapped around you again, it felt both the same and completely different.
Not a beginning.
Not an ending.
Just something unfinished.
“You don’t know what you’ve got,” she murmured softly against you.
You closed your eyes. “Till it’s gone, my dear.”
She pulled back slightly, looking at you like she wanted to remember every detail.
“Take care of yourself, okay?” she said.
“You too.”
And this time, when you let go, neither of you tried to stop the other from walking away.
Because sometimes love isn’t about holding on—
it’s about knowing why you had to let go in the first place.

Girl, I never loved one like you
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
You grew up in Munich. Everything you know is there. Your famil. Your friends. Your bestfriend, Sydney. Your club.... Everything you loved was in one place. Exept your home, your lover, Lena Oberdorf. She plays for Wolfsburg. That wouldn't be the problem, even trought its the rival, but Wolfsburg is too far away from Munich, to see each other more then once in a month. And its slowly infecting your realationship.
It's started when you both grow out of the honeymoon phase. That doesn't mean you're stopped being smitten about each other. But the distant made it worse. A 6 hours drive or a one hour flight. It started to come to much.
It wasn't because of the lack of trust you have for each other. You trust each other very much. But you missed the closeness, the cuddles or the kisses. The things you would only get, if you play each other or in the german camp. It was rarely that one come to visit the other. To caught up with training for your clubs.
So everytime the national break started, you follow each other like lost puppies. It's mostly Lena, who follows you everywhere. Her Wolfsburg teammates will tease all the time, when the break is going to start or gets closer. But she doesn't care. She only cares about being close to you.
But you follow her everywhere too. And your teammates tease you about that too. Like obi, you don't care either. You're just happy being with her again.
-
To the problem is only one solution. One has the move clubs. But you both are too stuborn.
"I'm not moving away, liebling. (Darling) I have everything here."
"I change would look on you, baby. You can't always stay in the same place your whole life." Obi argues back on a face time call. It wasn't a fight. More like a discussion, in wich you both bring the same arguments over and over again.
"You know i can't handle change. And it would be a change for you too."
"I know you can't. And i already had a change. I moved from Essen. There wouldn't be so much change. You know half of the from national and you got friends with Lynn."
You look away, to the wall, feeling defeated. "Ha Gotcha, Schatz. (honey)" Obi said happily. "If you move to Bayern, you can play with and see Lea more often." You knew what the Lea card would do. You know that Lena misses to play in the same team as Lea, like in Essen.
"Didn't you wanted to show me your new tattoo idea?" Obi distracts from the topic.
You knew Obi wants to distracts from the topic. She was a bad loser and she knew how right you were, Obi just didn't want to admit that. So you played along.
"What do you think of something like that?" You showed her a page from your sketchbook.
Since then none of you dared to bring up the topic again. In the meanwhile Obi has gotten an offer from bayern munich. She didn't know what to do with it. Should she tell you? Should she ignore it? These question were toturing her mind.
-
Her solution: She's going to ask on national break what you would say if she got an offer from your beloved club.
But unfortunately the right time wouldn't come to Lena. Everytime she was close of telling you something happened. So she finally decide to say it to you no matter what.
She walked into the chill room, wich she knew you mostly are. You were there but you talked with Sydney. She didn't mean to overhear, but she stayed as she heard her own name out if your mouth.
"I love Lena, but i don't know how long it's going to work" Obis face fell. She doesn't want you to think like that. She wants to be with you forever. With sad face she walks away. She talks to you after your conversation with Sydney. But she stopped as she heard Sydney speaking.
"Don't say stupid shit like that. It's going to work out. You both are so smitten and follow each other like lost puppies. It makes me love sick. It's getting to the point to become disgusting."
"Yeah because your Single" you chuckle and on Obis face a smile grows.
"But i'm serious. If you leave, then there would be nothing much different. You still have me and Klara. We still be friends and pull pranks on camp or annoy Laura. Okay? You still got us and the team. We're a big family." Sydney hugs you.
'That's why' Obi realized. You're scared that if you move, your friends will turn their back on you. Obi walked away with smile. Knowing what she's about to do, calling her agent.
-
You were more then suprised as Lena said she will be visiting for a few days, but gadly take it. With Lena being in Munich you were happier. Sydney and Klara took notice of it and asked themselves why. But they got the answer, when Lena picks you up from training.
"Hope it wasn't too boring, being alone." You kissed Obi. After you two broke apart, you hugged her. Behind your back Sydney, Klara and Georgia made gagging faces. Lena rolled her eyes at them.
"No it wasn't, Liebling" It really wasn't. It was exhausting. She was talking with the club, her agent and the Bayern coach. All to negotiate her move to Bayern Munich.
-
The day she signed the contract she had mixed feelings. The tought of leaving Jule behind haunted her. But the blonde told her to go, to get her girl. It made Obi feel a bit better about it, but not fully. The other side was excitment. To be near you. To kiss you everyday. To cuddle with you. To cook with you. To do everything with you.
-
Before the national camp in february the romurs of Lenas move spread over. You saw it too, of course. You didn't know how to feel. There was hope, but you knew to not trust rumors. And Obi wasn't a help either. She only said that she didn't know how or why there are rumors. It broke her heart to see your face fell, just to cover it up quickly with a smile.
-
On the 14th february her move to Bayern will be officinal. She came to munich for the day, because of valentines. She knew you had a came on the evening, so she took you on a date for lunch. The whole day you weren't allowed to look on your phone. You wondered why and asked her. She only told you it would ruin her suprise.
After lunch in your favourite restaurant she took you to your favourite park, in wich you finally were allowed to look on your phone. You looked confussed at her but did anyway.
"Now go on insta"
"Obi what have you done?"
"Nothing" she smiles at you.
You looked on your phone your confussed look turned into shock. You looked up at Obi, who smiled slyly at you. "Suprise?"
"You fucking idiot. I love you" You run to Lena and hug her. "But why would you do that? You didn't had to"
"I know. But i love you. And Bayern didn't Sound that bad." With that she kisses you. Happy play with you next season and to in with you

I still remember the third of December, me in your sweater
You said it looked better on me than it did you
Only if you knew how much I liked you
"You shivering. Here, take my swaeter." Vivianne said and took off her sweater. Her shirt also lift up a bit and expossed her abs a little. With a blush you looked away. You took of your thin excuse of a jacket in the winter and pulled her sweater over your head.
She took your jacket in hand. "Better?" Viv asked with a smile, when she saw that you stopped to shiver.
"Yes, thank you, Viv" You nodded. With a smile in Vivs face she led you to your apartment. Today was Team-bonding. Y'all went, to Jen and her girlfriends request, bowling. You had a great time. And like everytime Vivianne made sure you gonna end up safe home in the dark.
After a few minutes you reached your apartment. The walk and your alone time with Vivianne was sadly over.
"Thank you Viv, for taking me home." You thanked her.
"No need to apologize. It's always a pleasure with you." She smiled at you.
You were about to take off her sweater, when she wouldn't have stopped you. "No take it. It looks better on you then on me."
"You're sure. It's your favourite." You asked her shyly.
"Of course or I wouldn't have said that. Now sleep well, Y/n/n. See you tomorrow" With that she left, but not before she leant down and kissed your cheek. You were left as a frusterated mess. It was something Vivianne never does. And it gave you hope that she maybe likes you too.
But I watch your eyes as she
Walks by
What a sight for sore eyes
Brighter than the blue sky
She's got you mesmerized while I die
Like she said you were meeting the next day. Well mostly because it was training, but you didn't care. You only cared that Viv was waiting outside for you. Or so you thought. Actually was Vivianne waiting for Beth, but Beth texted her that she was already there. But as she saw you, she waited until you reached the entry.
She greeted you and walked with you to the locker room in silent. Her focus was clued on her phone. You wanted to ask her something, but as Beth came into Vivs side, she waked up to her and greeted her with a long huge. A little to long for your liking. After they broke apart both looked into each others eyes. You looked in Vivs eyes, they were shining. You wished she would have looked like that at you by your grreeting. Vivs focus was completely on Beth as they both walked together to the locker room, smilling. You stood there still, with pain in your heart as you watched them.
Why would you ever kiss me?
I'm not even half as pretty
The reality hit you like a fist as Vivianne and Beth came out as a couple. All the hints you have seen as you watched the loveable Vivianne Miedema are facing you now. All the hints you tried to push away. All the hints you claimed to be platonic were right.
So here you are on a teambonding night at Leahs and Jordans, feeling your heart breaks into a thousand pieces. You zoned out as all your teammates asks them question about their realationship. You couldn't listen, it (would have) broke your heart more. One question or better request broke you out of the zoned. And god did you hated Caitlin in this moment.
"Alright then kiss" Caitlin giggled mischievous like a little kid. Katie, also not being better, agreed with Caitlin. Wich causes Caitlin to get a slap on the shoulder from her girlfriend, Lia.
You watched both of them with a smile. But unfortunately the rest also agreed with Caitlin. Wich made Viv blush. It was cute. But the good mood from the blush went away quickly as Beth gave Vivs lips a short speck. Vivs blush got redder as everyone cheered on them, the new it-couple of Arsenal. Exept for one, you. You couldn't. It was too hard and you hoped no one saw it and was too busy cheering.
After this day you tried to find out what was wrong with you. Why weren't you enough for Vivianne? You started to envy Beth. Not only that she had Viv, but you also envied how she looks. You watched her in training and in the locker romm (of course not like a creep, but you sent her a few glances). You saw good trained she was. You saw her biceps, her toned legs or her abs on her stomach. You weren't this much into training at the gym. So you tried to skip it as often as you could. But maybe you should have been going more to the gym. Maybe you would be more pretty and attraktive.
Watch as she stands with her, holding your hand
Put your arm 'round her shoulder
Another thing that broke your heart and makes it ache is their physical contact. Beth always had her hands on Viv. You got the feeling beth knows about your feeling towards Viv and tries to torture you. She always holds Vivs hand. Wherever they go, they always hold hands.
But not only Beth has her hands on Viv, then Viv would often put her arm around Beth shoulder. She would whisper things in Beths ear. Things that made both smile. Looks like you can and another thing to your envy list.
"Aren't they cute together?" Katie asked you as she caught you starring at them.
There it was again. The pain in the chest. The pain of a broken heart.
"Yeah they are" You answered, trying to smile. You were happy Katie didn't paid much attention to your face as you answered.
The truth is they were cute, so fucking cute. But also so painful. So painful to watch at, but you can't stop watching. It was like your brain wanted you to extra hurt. And when you finally stop looking, a teammate comes and ruin everything.
"Aww look at them" or "they're so cute it's disgusting" are things your teammates say. Not to you in paticular, but your hear them and it's enough for you to look at the couple again.
But how could I hate her? She's such an angel
But then again, kinda wish she were dead
There was this one thing you tried to do, while watching them: you tried to hate Beth. You thought it would be easy hating the woman who's girlfriend is the woman you have feelings. You thought it would be easy to hate someone. Spioler it wasn't.
You really tried, but you started to see what Viv sees in Beth. Beth was a kind, loveable woman, impossible to hate. And no one did in the team. She was like the walking angel. Even though you can't hate her, sometimes you still wish she was dead. It wasn't because you are a cruel person ir anything. You could never hurt a fly, neither wishing someone dead. But you did it to Beth. You couldn't explain why, well maybe you could. But wishing Beths death is something you know is really fucked up.
And now you don't know who you can blame for your broken. It would never been Vivianne, she's perfect in your eyes. You tried to blame Beth, you tried to hate. But you realized, it isn't her fault either. She was inlove with someone. She made the move, you didn't do. So you got it. It was you to blame. And only you in your eyes.

You couldn't believe it. No one could. Germany is out of the World Cup. A dream of yours destroyed. How you wished you hadn't injured yourself against Columbia. If you didn't, you would be on have been on the pitch, maybe making a difference. But this was not case. It was a historical moment and maybe the fall of Germany.
The game started without the luck for Germany. In the 6th minute South Korea score the leading goal. A shock to everyone. The whome time you had Waru by your side as you sat next to your girlfriend, Sydney, on the bench. You hoped he would give you luck abd dammn it did. The 42th minute Alex Popp shot a header. 1:1 Germanys is in. The bench jumped up. You quickly glanced to the big screen in the stadium, but the camera wasn't on you. So you kissed your girlfriend, before she could jump up to Laura.
Everthing was fine until you went to the changing rooms. The smile quickly turned away, when everyone git told that Marroco was leading 1:0. Now Germany needs a win. And the tension was there again. The pressure of winning. To not let history repeat itself from 2018 with men team. To not also fall down like them, in a big hole. To not be a part of the big tragedy of german football.
When you returned on the pitch and were about to sit down you looked at your teammates. Fear, nervousness, tension were the things you could see in their faces. And with that Germany went trought the game playing poorly. After a few minutes into the second half your coach came up to Sydney and told to warm-up.
The 57th minute, Popp put the ball in the net with her head but laid down injured. In the end it was offside. So still out of the World Cup.
The moment Sydney stood besides the coach with Lena Lattwein you could see the feeling from the pitch went now also to her. You just watched her waiting to get subbed in. The moment you found the right words, she ran off to the pitch.
The time was ticking and ran against Germany. And you watched with horror as there seemed no chance for Germany to score a second goal. South Korea defened very well. No chance to break trought. It started to feel like Germany lost hope. But not your girlfriend Sydney. She tried over and over again. She didn't want it to end.
Then 9 minutes of stoppage time. But the South Korean played on time. Their goalkeeeper stayed on the ground for a long time. The player got injured. They did everything to let it be a draw. But as soon as Germany had the ball they shoot and shoot and shoot at the goal. Hegering and Sydney win the ball by duels. But the last action didn't work out. A few times even Sydney tried it by herself. But the ball wouldn't go in. After an offensive foul from Lea Schüller to win the ball back. The ref whistle her whistle.
For a moment you couldn't move. It still felt so unreal. You looked to your right seeing Laura on verge of crying. The next you looked to your front, meeting the eyes of your bestfriend, Lena Oberdorf, who tried to cry. Then you were searching for yor girlfriend. You stood up, trying to hide your tears, looking for Sydney. After a few seconds you found her perched and hiding under her jacket.
"Syd..." You whispered while carefully tuching her shoulder. She looked up at you. And you swore you would have break down. The way she looked at you. Tears streaming down her face, checks red and sobbing. You helped her to get up and to put her jacket on. Then you put her into a hug. With that Sydney fully broke down and sobbed into your shoulder and neck. You were also about to break down, but you knew you needed to be strong for her.
"I-I..." You hushed her down and put your hands on her checks.
"You did everything you could, Schatz. In the end you were the only one who tried and was brave, Syd. I'm proud of you because you played incredible. You gave your heart and soul into the game." You gave her a kiss on the forehead. "But sometimes it's not enough." You stopped speaking. Tears running down your own face.
"Thank you" Sydney whispered before hiding her face in your neck.
After while Martina, your coach, gathered everyone in a circle and spoke a speech. To be honest you don't even know now anymore what she told you. You were more busy holding your girlfriend, trying not to break down yourself and looking at everyones sad faces.
And this wasn't even the hardest part yet. You also needed to go trought the reporter. You were happy nobody sent Sydney in there. But they were meaner then this and put the two youngest up to the Interviews.
Everyone was a bit happy when they arrived at the hotel. It seemed like they all came down a bit. And everyone went to their rooms in silent. When you arrived your room next to Sydneys you quickly grabbed a short and shirt to wear for bed and change into it. You knocked on Sydneys door to let her know someones about to enter. When you opened the door you saw her laying in her bed, already changed. She didn't look up to the door. You stayed silent and made your way to the bed, laying next to her. Her eyes were closed but you knew she didn't sleep. You lead her head to your chest and running a hand through her hair. You know doing this will alsways help.
"I love you" She whispered and you smiled. "And it's not your fault that you didn't play today. The columbians played very dirty. I'm just happy you're okay and it's nothing serious" She added her eyes still closed enjoying the moment.
You opened your mout to say anything but Sydney already talked again knowing what you were about to say. "Don't. Do not find the guilt now by yourself, Liebling" Sydney said leaving no room for an argument. You just sighed and closed your eyes too. Trying to find some sleep.
"And by the way you didn't say 'I love you too'" Sydney mumbled into your neck.
A chuckle left your lips. "I love you too"
With that both of you trying to find some sleep in each others arms.

They did it. Once again did Barcelona win the league. But they were not only celebrating their trophy, but also the return of La Reina.
To say these months were easy, with your girlfriend, was wrong. You could never imagine Alexia doubting herself so much. She was lucky you were there. You built her up again, when she had a break down. You were driving her the hospital. You sticked on her like glue. But you were not the only one who was there for your girlfriend. Her bestfriend, Mapi Leon, followed also every step with. You both grown the be friends. Maybe not the best, but you were closer with Mapi then with some other team mates. You had always admired her. And in these few months you and Mapi grew closer. At first you were only meeting with Alexia together, or to help her. But it slowly started that the meetings became more commen and hadn´t had one mention of Alexia and her injury.
That´s why the whole team had a party on the some day, after celebrating with the fans. The girls all decieded to go to their favourite club in Barcelona. So here you are. Sitting on the bar, alone, with a little bit to much alcohol in blood. Sometimes your eyes searched for your girlfriend, who was talking to Jana. But then your eyes were very fast in saerching for a certain blonde defender.
At a party yesterday
Saw the room where you and me
Had some fun, you thought it was love
Now I'm stuck here reminiscing
„Hola, Y/n. You shouldn´t be alone tonight. Where´s Alexia?“ It was Mapi who brought you out of your daydream about her. Shouldn´t you be daydreaming about your beautiful, talented, wonderful girlfriend. It shouldn´t be her bestfriend. „Well she´s doing some catching up with Jana. Why you care?“ You didn´t know why you asked. Maybe because you wanted her to tell you that she likes cares about you. But why do have these thoughts. This night you blamed on the alcohol and it helped but just fort he night. „Because I think you shouldn´t be alone, hermosa. Your to beautiful for being left alone.“ She was drunk too. Mapi always flirts when she is drunk. No one was safe from drunk cocky Mapi, Not even the her bestfriends girlfriend. But it never efected you. You even sometimes played along, just fort he girls to tease her the next day. So why does it do now? „Wanna dance a little bit?“ Mapi slurred out. Every still working cell brain screamed at you to not go with. To search your girlfriend and dance with her. But there was something. Something louder. Something that scream to agree and dance with. That something won. So you nodded and went to the dance floor with her. You danced clos. Very close. To others it looked like you two were dating.
„Looks like your girlfriend had a drink too much, Capitano.“ Patri said as she watched you and Mapi. Alexia looked at your direction. Before her injury she wouldn´t have cared about it. She knew how Mapi and you are, when you were drunk. You were actually not this worse like Mapi. But now. Now she hast he feeling you are slipping away, right infront of her nose. „Looks like it.“ She tried to smile. Alexia knows she needs to talkt o about it, but she doesn´t want to destroy her little bubble, she's living in. „I´ll go get her. It was a great night. See you in two days“ She hugged her friends goodbye and went straight to dancefloor, were you last have been. But you weren´t there.
And I try day and night
Oh, to somehow draw a line
Wanna cross it all the time
You and Mapi were were stil on the dance floor. You were close dangerous close. No one said a word. It was the moment your faces grew closer on each other, it was almost like you kissed. But you did not. As soon as realise what´s happening you pull and ran away from her. Your not a cheater. Maybe not a physical cheater. But you love Alexia and would never do anything like that to her.
„Where´s Y/n?“ Alexia asked Mapi more anoyed than she wanted it to sound. „Don´t know she ran.“ Mapi said while taking a sip from a drink. „Alright enough for you too. Let´s get you to Jana“ Alexia said and pushed her in Janas direction. Alexia was looking everywhere for you and got more and more worried by any minute she couldn't find you. The last option were the restroom, and finally her eyes had seen you.
I think I'm mentally cheating
How could I be so disobedient?
Alexia found you leaning against a sink, washing your face, with what dhe thought, cold water. Like you were thinking about something. Unknowing to her you did. You thought about the nearly kiss with Mapi and the way you wanted her to kiss you so badly. But you didn't understood why. You have a beautiful, loving girlfriend. Today you blamed it on the alcohol but little did you knew the next time something like this happens you're not going to be drunk.
I think I shouldn't be lookin' in those eyes
Why do they give mе butterflies?
Can't exprеss how obsessed
Is it purely the attention?
Everywhere and everytime you cursed yourself, when you were met with Mapi brown eyes. In training, at team-bonding or at the warm ups before a game. This dammn brown eyes. You started to hate them. Started to try not to look at them, when Mapi was starring at you. It felt like you were looking at Alexias hazel brown eyes. It felt familer. It felt like the time you had a crush on her. Those eyes made you nervous and gave you butterflies. Just like Mapis eyes are doing right now.
And you didn't like it. Why would you. You date the girl of everyones dream. You're dating La Reina herself. The girl you thought was out of your league. The girl that is only vulnerable with you. The girl who's so sweet to you that you could just melt. The girl who gives you butterflies with every loving touch. The girl you are falling out of love with. And it's terrifying.
I'm just tryin' to decide
If I stay, I'd have to lie
To myself, feels like hell
To be in love with someone else
The hardest part was to admit to yourself, that you are falling for the blonde defender and slowly out of love with your girlfriend. You both didn't chare the some affection towards each other anymore. Maybe you should break up with her. It wasn't fair to live in a lie. But you also don't want to see Alexias heartbroken face, when you do it. You couldn't decied wich was worst. But maybe it was better to live like nothing happened. A realationship with Mapi would never work out, even trought you and Alexia broke up peacefully. You had your code, you made for yourself. Like to not date the bestfriend of your ex.
Alexia knew something was off. She hoped her biggest fear wouldn't come true. The bubble she lived it, where everything is normal and full of love, would break. She hoped she wouldn't lose you. Alexia still wanted to fight for you. She organzied dates but it did not felt like it used to be and slowly she realized you were slipping away from her.
Mapi couldn't help herself too. She always had a liking for, since you joined Barça. But respected your liking for her bestfriend. It was painful for her. But if it makes you and her bestfriend happy, she would be happy. So she tried to move on, of course. She started seeing Ingrid. It first it felt great. But they both slowly realized that a realationship wouldn't work out. So they broke up, but stayed friends. Mapi was a little heartbroken but it helped her to move on from you. And she did it. Well, until Alexia tore her acl in the European Championship. As her bestfriend, Mapi was of course their for her. So you and Mapi helped her together. It was a test for her, if she really, fully moved on or not. A test she failed. She felt herself falling for you again in the meantime. But kept her distance from her feelings. It all quietly changed, when you got more flirty with her. She liked it, played along and used it for her own pleasure. Not caring about other people's feelings. But she soon realized, how selfish she is. You are in a happy realationship with her bestfriend. So she tried to distance herself from you. Little did she know, that you were doing the same. But you both failing miserable.
And I try day and night
Oh, to somehow draw a line
Wanna cross it all the time
Like said before the distance thing fas huge failure, because after that you were meeting more and more. Finding excusees to meet each other. The next time would be a house party by Lucy and Keira.
Alexia didn't come to the party, but wished you fun. She said, that she was visiting her family with Alba. So you went alone to the party. But Alexia was lying. She didn't went to visit her mom. But Alba stayed with her, while Alexia was crying about how she's loosing you and how much it hurt to see thus close with Mapi. She knew you wouldn't actually, physically cheat. But for her it still felt like a break up. Maybe she should do that. If you like Mapi, you shouldn't hold back, because you are in a realationship with her. She knew Mapi liked you from the start and only went to a date with you, if Mapi would agree. Maybe she had to return the favour now and give her the green light. On the one side it calmed her down that you will have someone good, someone who you can trust blind. She knew Mapi would do everything for the people she cared about. But on the other side she knows it's going to hurt a little then now.
You and Mapi sat on the balcony of the lionesses' apartment. Both just starring into the crowd of dancing people inside. Then you made the mistake to look into her eyes. As she could feel it, she turned her head and looked at you too. The brown eyes you could get lost in. You stare in each others eyes. Lord, how bad she wanted to kiss you in this moment. Little did she knew you wanted that too. But your not cheater, at least not physical. You would have maybe become one if Lucy wouldn't had called.
"Oi, chicas. You coming inside again or do you guys want to be depressing. If this is the case, I've got to disappoint you, no one is sad at my party. Now get your asses up." She hold a hand out for each of you. You and Mapi made eye contact for a short time, before you both took Lucys arm/hand to get.
You couldn't love and thank Lucy Bronze more for destroying this sortb8f moment.

Bantr. It was the new trendy dating app everyone's using. It's a complete anonymous dating app, where you find your partner without any pictures or whatsover, only the things your counterpart says the you. This is the formal description of Keeley Jones, the developer of Bantr. Everyone in your surrounding and who's single has this app, exept for you. It wasn't like you weren't against the idea, but you didn't believed in every trend. With you the only single one who has not the app, your and your brothers teammates were basicly forcing you to download this app.
"Comon, Y/n. You know it going to work, since you look more for personality and everything. And wouldn't be home alone anymore." Your brother whined. Since weeks he tries to get you to download this app. He even put your own teammates against you, who were always on your side.
"I'm everything but lonely, Phil. And who knows maybe in two weeks no ones using this shitty app anymore" He raised an eyebrow.
"Y/n/n you are lonely. And who cares about this stuff. If you don't do it on your free will I will. And I will find you a hot chic who has both looks and personality." With that he grabbed your phone to make his threatment reality.
"Alright, alright. But at least let me do the fucking profil on my own."
"Alright, heartbreacker" He smiled as he gave you your phone back.
"I hate you" you said as you opend the app and logged yourself in. Phil kept a close eye on your phone until Jack walk over to the next room
"Yo Jack. You own me 20 bucks!" Phil yelled at him.
"I can't belive you fucking bet on me" You said shaking your head.

On the other side of Manchester it looked a bit different.
"Tooney, I think I'm gonna delete this app" Alessia sighed.
"What Bantr? Don't you dare." Ella muffled with a mouth full of crips.
"Because it's useless."
With that Ella stop whatever movie they were watching. It was movie night at Alessias like every friday. "Why? I thought there was this one girl you wanted to meet up with."
"Well she canceled"
"What? Why?"
"I don't know. Can we just go on with the movie?"
"Of course yeah. But I swear on my boyfriend that I and this app will find some one for you." Ella said while putting on the tv again.
"No don't swear on him. He's actually nice" Alessia said smilling.
A few hours and two movies later Alessia and Ella still sat on the couch, with Ella sleeping besides her bestfriend. Alessia often tought about going also to sleep but the movies always kept her awake. So the blonde finally decides to put the tv off and closing her eyes too. But as she wanted to drift off, her phone beeped. With a sigh she looks at her phone and frowned at the bantr message.
Hey, sorry to disturb you. But my brother wouldn't leave me alone, if I wouldn't text anyone on this stupid app. ;)
Alessia smiled at this message. She ddebated if she's going to answer or not. In the end she decided to give it a try.
Hi. No everythings fine. I share the same opinion with this app. My bestfriend forced me to get it.
A thing Alessia didn't know was, that you were smilling on your phone to her respond. Happy that there was someone who shared the same opinion as you.
Looks like we have the same story. So do you maybe know how this app works properly?
I could help you indeed
I'm all ears, Bantr master
Alessia couldn't stop smiling. She wrote with many girls, acording the Ella it's necessary to find the perfect match, but never smiled this much in the beginning. She adjusted herself on the couch and text the anymous person.
You texted each other for hours until you had to put a stop into this. On sunday you had a game and with that a little training and a meeting. Your told her you had to work, not what you do for living. You didn't feel like telling a stranger that you are a footballer and maybe get used for this. But your texting partner didn't mind and you fell asleep thinking about her.
Alessia on the other side couldn't sleep, thinking to much about her texting partner. The conversation you two had was easy. It was easy to talk to you. Easier then with the other girls she texted with.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Ella woke up, searching for her bestfriend on the couch. Confussed she couldn't found Alessia, Ella walked around Alessias house, only to find her sitting on the kitchen counter with a smile in her face. She was looking down at the phone in her hands.
"What got you so smiley today, Lessi?" Ella asked. With that Alessia looked up and aknowledge for the first time her bestfriends precence.
"Nothing!" Alessia said quickly and turned her phone off quick. Too quick for Ella to believe.
"Well I think, you got a match on bantr, right?" Alessia nodded her head frusterated. There was no point in lying.
"Ohh. What's her name? Dies she lives in Manchester? Tell me everything you know." Ella commanded.
"Well she's a private person" Ella nodded suspicious. "Her names Y/n...uhm... yes she lives in Manchester and her favourite colour is Y/f/c"
Ella looked at her bestfriend dumbfounded. "Is that everything?" Alessia nodded her head slowly. "Oh dios mío. You really don't know how to talk to people. But let me handle this... Oh I got one. Ask her if she supports United or City."
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
"So how's bantr?" Lauren Hemp, your bestfriend, welcomed you, when you entered the pitch
"Good morning to you too, and how do you even fucking know about that one?" You asked her confussed while you tied your shoelaces.
"I have my trust sources" You shook your head. Your brother must tell someone and one of his teammates told it Lauren or it was Jack who told then Lauren. "So found any matches?" She asked curious.
"Yeah, I started texting with someone yesterday" You said proudly.
"Show me!" You gave Lauren your phone, so she could read the chat. "Why aren't you answering her?" She shoved your into your face.
"You see the kind off question she wrote down, right? So know imagine she supports fucking united. I wouldn't know what the fuck to do."
"You don't do anything, silly. You just have to shake of your pride and look over this, mate, if you like her. You do, right?" Lauren asked with a smile.
"The fuck, Lauren. I don't even know her. We texted yesterday. How can I like her then?"
"Because I know you. But you can't tell me you don't know anything."
"Well, her name is Alessia-"
"Uh like Alessia Russo." Lauren interrupted you. It was to tease you, because she knew about your rivalery you had in the league and who gets the starting on the Lionesses, since you both a striker.
"Don't Lauren, or I fucking-"
"Hey! Everyone to the middle!" Your coach yelled. As soon as everyone was in position, he went on. "Alright girls. Tomorrow we have a game to warm us up against United next week. As we know Tottenham is nearly on relegation, I do not wanna see any mistakes. It's also important that we win this game, so we are going to be second, since Chelsea lost against Arsenal. And with a win next week we are going to be first." He looked everyone of his players in the eyes. "Okay, so today is a short training with an tactic meeting afterwards. So want you all be ready at 2 o'clock in the meeting."
With that the training started. It was not intense, just something to train the things that didn't worked. After the coach dismissed y'all, you went instenly to your phone, to look what Alessia had texted you. You texted her in a pause.
Well isn't this sad, because I think Manchester is red ;)
You smiled at your phone for a short time. Something that didn't went unnoticed by your bestfriend.
Don't know if you support woman football, but they are playing next week. I think you going to see there, that Manchester is blue.
"Make sure your ready at 2, heartbreacker" Lauren said, when she walked to the showers.
Quickly you grabbed your towel and speeded after her. "Where do you get all this Informationen?.... Wait!... Are you talking with Jack again?" You yelled and ran after her.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
In the next days the texting with each other has grow to an routine of the other. When you had your meeting for the game against Tottenham, what you won 4:0 with a hattrick of yours, you couldn't keep your hands and eyes of the screen. It went this far that the coach had to take it away from you.
With the win against Tottenham ManCity was one point apart from ManUnited. The tension got thicker in training and everyone worked hard to win this derby.
You and Alessia had a bet to finally meet after the long time of writting. If City wins Alessia had to orginze the date and if United wins you had to it. It gave you both something to work harder, to impress the other one, even none of you know that you both are playing profionall football for the Manchester clubs.
You felt attracted towards the woman. You liked her personality and of course that she is big football fan, who also watched the womans game. She on the other side felt like she had fallen for you. Alessia was known as a person who falls in love very easily. It has it pros and cons. One con she doesn't even know you properly. She only knew a version you could have created. But she was looking forward to the date.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
It was matchday. Your nerves went crazy like on every other big game. Steph Houghton gave the last prep talk before everyone lined up after her. You stood to your annoce next to Alessia Russo. You gave each other a look that meant, whoever wins this game gets the starting spot for the upcoming international break.
The game was intense. Both didn't want to give the other the win and with that the first place. It was 35th, when Alessia shot a beautiful goal with an assist from Ella. The United girls celebrated the goal loud with their fans. Then there was halftime. You went with anger of yourself in your locker-room, but it went away quickly, when you saw that Alessia had texted you.
1:0 for me, opps
You wish, honey. City still got full 45 min to score at least one goal
Not going to happen
Ella saw Alessias smile and smiled to herself before she sat next to her. She looked at her bestfriends phone before their coach called for everyones attention.
The game got more intense, than it already was. You had chances over chances, but nothing worked. Neither it was Mary or the last defender.
With that the game ended 1:0 and United stayed on top of the table. You were ready for a teasing comment from Alessia, like always when she wins against you, but that didn't happened. She just ran to the locker room. Weird, you thought. She always stays for the fans in the end. Since you played abroad, you also just went to the locker room. You were frusterated with yourself. You wanted to win against Alessia, but also wanted to impress the girl you had to admit were falling for.
When you entered the locker room you could see the disappointed and frustration in your teammates faces. You the first thing you did after you sat down, like all the other times, you went straight to your phone and of course did Alessia message you.
So since Manchester is red again, where does our date lead us. ;) ♡
Alessia was eager to finally meet you. To see if she not fell for a version the other person created. So she went straight to the lockerroom, forgetting for once the fans and texted you. She knew it sounded desprate, but she hoped you were too. Slowly the other girls were entering the locker room and started to celebrate their.
"Lessi, why are you on your phone? Come celebrate with us. You can text or whatever later." Ona said. But the blonde ressist.
"I'm good Ona" But the spaniard wasn't not pleased with the answer. She wanted to ask Alessia again, but interrupted by Mary, who put the music on.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:* ✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Today was the day for your meeting with the girl you had fallen for over the last two weeks. It felt like falling for a mystery. Alessia wanted nothing fancy, like going out to a restaurant or something. So you decided to go to Café. Both of you were nervous to meet the other person. Alessia was a mess and put on every outfit she had. But with Ellas help she finally found something to wear. She also helped Alessia with the hair, that she at the end wore down.
You were also not better. Lauren came over and helped you with an outfit and gave advice on how to style your hair, but also to calm down your nerves. She swears she had never seen you this nervous. And of course your brother called you. He told you how he knew you find someone on this app and that he wishes you the best luck. With a look in the mirror you made your way to the Café.
But you still were running late so you texted her about it.
It's fine I'll wait outside
And she did it waited for you, but it looks like you were not coming.
Because you knew that Café very well, you drove a little bit different, so Alessia wouldn't see straight away. With a last look in the mirror of your car, you walked to the Café. But as you got closer to it, you couldn't believe your eyes. Alessia mf Russo stood there with her phone in her hand.
I'm outside. Where are you?
And now it hit you. The name Alessia, supporting Manchester United, having two brother. It now all made sense. And you stood there on your spot frozen and for the first time you didn't know what to do.

You hated it. This was not how you wished the season ends. You didn't wish for an Barcelona vs Wolfsburg final. First it's your former club you learned to love and you're still friends with your old teammates. But second because you had to play against your girlfriend. You two always talked about your dream of winning the Champions League. And now one of you had to destroy the others dream.
It's the first time you start to regret your move to Barcelona. Right after the euros you got an offer from Barcelona. Claiming they were impressed of your play style in the euros, even if you lost to England. You were, next to Lena, one of the most talented midfielder. Even trought your lost they still wanted you and you wanted to go to them, but Wolfsburg became your family you didn't wanted to leave. But they were all supportive and advocated you to the move. They all knew about your dreaming of Barcelona, just like Jill does and you finally had the chance to make your childhood dream reality. And Lena knew about your dream too. So she let you go and told you to go. But she didn't fully let go. You two were still in a realationship and went to all the Champions League or important games of the respective other, if you had the time. So basicly nothing change between you, exept the fact that you didn't see each other every day. You celebrated the cup win against Freiburg, like your still part of the team. It was the time you knew you gonna meet them and after the lost League to Bayern Munich, they wanted now notjing more but winning. For you, you live with Obi still in deniel. In your little bubble that no one can destroy. In your little bubble that got destroyed as soon as you landed in Eindhoven.
Of course you talked about before. You said whatever happens it will not effect your relationship. You also brought the rule to live, that you both will neither see each other nor communicate with anything. You needed this rule to be focused.
The first time you see each othet again was in the tunnel. You stood next to each other.
"Viel Glück" Good luck whispered Lena and smiled at you.
"Dir auch viel Glück" Good luck to you too You whispered and smiled at her too.
You felt a soft touch on your shoulder. You didn't need to look around to know it was Lucy Bronze. She looked at the both of you with pity. She couldn't imagine being in the same situation with Keira. She knew about your relationship with the german, since you became friends in this past year. She took you under her wing, since your one of the youger ones with 21 and didn't know any spanish too even english was a bit tought for you.
"Alright, take a deep breath" You did. Lucy put both her hands on your two shoulders. "And now I want you to focus on the game, 'kay. Don't look at her. Do not look once in her direction exept you need to, alright?" You just nooded unsure. You hated this feeling. In the end of the day you wanted to celebrate together with your girlfriend.
Everything went down in the first 3 minutes. Trought a mistake of Lucy Bronze your former teammate Pajor score the first goal. Everyone on the pitch was shooked. Mostly the Barça players. No one thought about this early goal. And god you wished you could celebrate with them. Your eyes made their were to the cheering Wolfsburg players. Just as Obi was about to met your eyes Lucy pushed you quickly away.
"Hell na. I told don't look at her, exept you need to steal the Ball from her." She looked directly into your eyes waiting for encouragement. "Come on" She said and put her arm around your shoulders.
This goal boosted Wolfsburg. They were stoping every attack Barcelona was about to make. And to all this chaos, Alex Popp shot an amazing header and shot the second goal for Wolfsburg. And again everyone came to celebrate, but this time you didn't look at them. You just walked away. But Lena looked out for and as she found you walking away she felt bad. She to celebrate with you and you being sad and walking away.
With that the whistle blow. And you walked in the lockerroom frusterated, like every other player. It wasn't like you were dead. You had chances over chances but nothing worked out. So it the end, what happens in the lockerroom stays in the lockerroom.
Back on the pitch it looked like Wolfsburg was to confident of winning that Patri shot to beautiful goals in first 5 minutes and brought your team back in the game. With that Wolfsburg was now shocked and Barcelona the way better team.
After an amazing long ball of you from Mapi you were about to pass the ball into the box. But you got stopped by your girlfriend with a rather nasty tackle. It made you fell down, but the referee didn't care and let the game go on. But Lena quickly rushed back to you.
"Scheiße, Y/n. Alles gut?" Shit, Y/n. Everything's okay?
"Yeah all fine" You said and walked away very quick.
Lena just looked after you and sighed, but also doing the same.
A few minutes later the third and winning goal for Barcelona got shot from you. You ran to the players, who were doing the warm up, and were meeting with Alexia Putellas. And then your other teammates come to hug and celebrate you. You didn't even know why you were cherring. You hate it when players celebrate hard against their own club. You even criticized Jill last year and now your doing the same.
As the game went on you could feel that your former teammates are trying everything to score a goal. It was stoppage time when you looked at Lena for the first time. Poppy laid again on the ground holding her face in her hands. You kneeled beside her. She was one of the closet person back in Wolfsburg and put you under her wing like Lucy is doing in Barcelona. You felt sorry for this woman. She's fighting so hard and still always lays on the ground. At first you didn't noticed that also Obi kneeled also down to her teammates. You only noticed as you looked up and found Lena already looking at you. She sent you a soft smile wich you returned.
This corner was Wolfsburg last chance, but Paños saved the ball. And with the final whistle blow the game ended and Barcelona won for the second time the Champions League. Driven by joy and adrenaline you let Mapi to drag you to the big group hug.
Lena watched you. She watched you smilling and laughing. She was happy for you, she really was but the sadness won over and the tears starting to roll down. She looked around for her teammates and saw Felicitas Rauch breaking down. Overwhelmed with her feelings Lena let the tears a free go.
After the end of your group hug you were the first to pull away, searching for only one person, Lena Oberdorf. And you found her looking around the stadium with tears in her eyes. A few meters further you saw your friend Feli breaking down crying.
Now you also felt overwhelmed and you do the only thing that helps you, when you feel this way: hugging Lena. Her embrace always calmed you down. So you ignored Prati yelling to join in and ran up to your girlfriend. Wich didn't noticed that you are running up to her and suprised, when she felt your arms around your body. She let out a quick jelp, what the attention of Alex Popp and Svenja Huth focus. Both of them admiring and giving each other a short glance, before minding their own buisness.
This interaction nnoticed also Lucy, when she was looking for you. Smiling at the both of you. It was a well needed hug you both were dreaming of. A hug with a lots of sorrys from your side. Sorrys that Lena couldn't register.
"You should go back celebrating." Lena sniffed as you both pull away from the hug. "And stop saying sorry. You have nothing to be sorry about." She put her hands on your cheeks. "Looks like the better team won. Maybe next year for me, but congratulations! I'm so proud of you." She kisses your forehead.
"But what about you? I destroyed your dream."
"Yeah and I'm that you are the one not Arsenal or any other club. And next Wolfsburg is going to win." She smiled sadly. "Now go and celebrate with your teammates." She pushed you away. You give her unsere look before running up to Lucy and Keira.
It was time to celebrate with the trophy and your high began to raise again as Alexia starts raised the trophy to the sky and made her team with that champions of europe.
The next hour was all a blur for you. Dancing, screaming, yelling, taking pictures and going to interviews. Singing 'Sweet Caroline' with Keira. It all was fun but you missed your girlfriend.
When you were looking for her, you found her by her family. So you ran up to them and greeted them. They told you how proud they were of you. Since Lena brought you home, they adored you and you became their second daughter.
When you were alone on the pitch, you finally had a moment to breath. You both watched some of your teammates still celebrating.
"Come to Barcelona." You said, wich made Lena look at you. "I hate not being around you. I hate not celebrating goals with you. And the most I hate is that days like this could be happen again and I gotta say I hate and love this day so much." You said not looking at Lena once.
"We see, baby. We see." Is the only thing the midfielder said, before she put her head on your shoulder.
After the events if the euros, you transfered to Barcelona and leaving with that your girlfriend, Lena, behind. But you still worked out together and were each others biggest fan in the Champions League, to blind in your bubble that you two didn't realised that one has to destroy the others biggest dream.
Home is, whenever I'm with you
Lena suprises you with her move to your childhood club. To finally be with you properly.
