He’d been half expecting that answer, and yet it still didn’t cushion the blow that much. This caused a whole slew of questions, none of them being anything he wanted to think about at the moment.

"Well uh…it’s good to know you then Ling. I’m Greed. And yeah using a sword would get kind of annoying." Not that he couldn’t use his shield and have it be safe anyway. But that notion was pushed back behind all the other things going through his mind.

"Anyway, since I explained how it works though, which one do y’ wanna be?" He said while hoping the kid would go for the good guys side.

The young boy tilted his head, focusing on Greed's chi; he wasn't that good at sensing it, but he was getting better as he attempted to, and something about the man's energy made it jump into focus more easily than anyone else's he'd tried to sense. He frowned a bit, about to ask a question, but fortunately Greed cut him off.

"Greed's a funny name." he said, half focused on what he was saying, eyes slits now and not closed as usual. There's something different about this guy. He wasn't sure what, but he'd figure it out eventually. For now he relaxed and let it slip to the back of his mind, giving the man a big grin.

"I think I'll be a cop, keep you from stealing from my people." he teased lightly, then he blinked. "If I use a wooden sword, will you get mad? A practice sword."

Ling muttered to himself, frowning now, but he glanced back up when Greed spoke again and gave a big grin. "Nope, never heard of it. 沒關係, 雖然. I have a sword, but I guess I shouldn't actually use it, right?"
