What were you even hoping for? You cannot defeat the great Captain Morgan.
How does it feel? To die with the knowledge that you were powerless to do or change anything?

Helmeppo did not remember what his mother looked like. He only remembered that she was always smiling. Only after growing up did Helmeppo realize that this was a bad sign. If a person smiles constantly, then something is wrong with them. But his mother never showed it. And Helmeppo was too young to recognize it.
"Mom? What's wrong? Are you not feeling well?" the boy asked in surprise, having returned from outside.
"She mistook rat poison for sugar," came the father's hollow voice. He was holding Mom in his arms. Mom seemed to be asleep, but in a way that was too frightening.
"You will help her, right? Mom! It's me, Mom! Wake up!"
"Don't touch her!" the father pushed the boy aside. "Nothing can be done now."
"Why?" the boy started to cry.
"She died," the father said sternly, laying Mom on the bed. Her arms hung limply over the sides. "She won't wake up."
"No!" the boy cried even louder and rushed to his mother. The father didn't have time to stop him. "Wake up, Mom, wake up! Everything will be alright, Dad will help you! Please, wake up!"
"Get away from her!" the father dragged the boy away from his mother by the collar. "She died, do you hear me?"
"She will wake up! Mom will wake up!"
Mom did not wake up.
