reading about the mating ritual of some birds and my autistic brain immediately thought of two particular gay murderers

a mating pair of eagles will lock talons in the sky, spiraling towards the ground in whats called a "death spiral." they hold onto eachother until the last moment, just feet before hitting the ground, moments from death to prove their trust and loyalty of their potential mate.

felt oddly familiar.

I saw this excerpt from a love letter written by Napoleon to his wife Joséphine, and immediately thought of prison Hannibal writing to Will.

I don't think Will asking "is Hannibal in love with me" was a way of getting confirmation because he was scared of Hannibal deceiving him. Firstly, I don't think Will's scared of Hannibal in any capacity or form, and second, he would be capable enough to face Hannibal in any scheme he'd possibly plan. Will isn't stupid or blind in the way others have been blinded by both or either of them.

I think he needed the confirmation because knowing he is loved thoroughly for who he truly is, will never allow him to become a better man, and to acknowledge Hannibal's feelings is to acknowledge his own as well, which speaks volumes about the kind of man he is. And he has been trying to pretend he's anything but that man for a long while.
