I’m so sick of this biphobia transphobia conversation.
I don’t date bisexual women because I don’t like men at all and I don’t want to date women who date men. I identify as a lesbian and I only want to be romantically involved with another lesbian. I’m not ever going to change my mind.
I don’t date transwomen because I don’t like men at all in any capacity. I don’t care if you are a walking medical miracle, I don’t want you because I like women, who don’t require what transwomen require to call themselves women.
This also applies to intersex people. I don’t date them either.
I know I’m not their target demographic and honestly I don’t see why you would even want to date people that don’t want to date you. What can you possibly get out of that but trauma and harm?
There will be never be a point in time that I’ll be gaslit into giving up my bodily autonomy and rights to consent so a bunch of coercive, rapey assholes won’t call me a terf or a bigot.
Whatever reason a person doesn’t want to be romantic or sexual with someone else is valid. To force the issue, to unpack it, to try to apply logic to boundaries you don’t like, just because those boundaries exclude you is inherently and blatantly predatory.
And I want more for bi, trans, and intersex people. I want them seated at tables set for them with Love and Grace. I don’t want them banging on doors that will never be thrust open with Joy to receive them. I know what it’s like to not be wanted so why would you want to force that?
