Liv couldn’t tell what kind of game they were playing anymore. Usually, they were back and forward, trying to get a rise from the other. Even when they ended up with tangled limbs at the end of the night, there was a game of cat and mouse that was involved, neither of them admitting to what they were trying to do. Now however, Wren was being clear with what he wanted, and Olivia would be lying if she said she didn’t want the same thing. She wanted his hands on her, skin against skin, his lips on hers. But there was an order to things, or so she kept telling herself. It seemed like both were desperate to throw their unwritten rules out of the window, even if only for the night. She desperately wanted to throw caution to the wind and stake her claim in him, and the longer she spent wrapped around him, the more inclined she was to do so. “With a face like yours, Wren, most are putty in your hands. Even without the words.”
She wasn’t caught of guard by his kiss, Olivia saw it coming, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t made breathless by it all the same. Wren had that effect on her, even when she tried her hardest not to show the reactions her body had to him. Her eyes clouded with lust and her breathing shallowed, but her waist didn’t even flinch at the contact, continuing to circle in time with the beat. This was what she wanted: him; his words; his promise of the night. “You can have me anyway you want me.” She said in a low voice, bring her lips to his ear so he was able to hear her over the music. The words were for Wren and Wren only. No one else needed to know what went off between them. That was why she grabbed his hand and began to lead them out of the crowd. This wasn’t where she wanted to be, surrounded by strangers. She just wanted Wren, nothing else mattered.
Wren felt a shiver run down his spine as her words brushed against his ear. The more they fooled around, the harder it was getting for him to convince himself that it was nothing. Her words definitely had an effect on him, even if he didn’t want them to. He would tell himself until he was blue in the fact that it was just a way to let off steam. That it was just two friends, who happened to be attracted to each other, helping each other out. Deep down, he knew it was a complete lie, but he couldn’t let himself admit it. To do so would completely change any dynamics that were already in place. And it wasn’t just him he had to think about, it was the whole band. He wasn’t the type to get into a relationship, he wouldn’t mess up their careers because of his aversion to commitment. Even if whatever he had with Olivia was his longest companionship yet.
He put up no resistance as Olivia took hold of his hand. No matter what, he trusted her blindly. He would follow wherever she led him to. Once they reached the edge of the crowd, he took control, pulling her over to the shadows, pushing her up against the wall. “You’re trouble.” Wren murmured as his hands gliding down her sides, his eyes roaming her body. He was aware that he was probably looking at her like he was starved, but she brought it out of him. His mouth skimmed across her jaw, his lips brushing the skin. “Is this what you want?” He asked, bringing her back into another kiss. Every time they kissed, he felt like a shock went through him, his senses all on edge, sensitive to the smallest change between the two, unaware of any of their surroundings.
