Meet Wren Madeline Wazowski. Born to Michael Wazowski on January 8th of the year 2020, she’s told she looks a lot like Zoey Deutch.

From a young age, Wren got used to not having her mom around, but she didn’t lack mother figures. Though she ended up with the surly attitude of her birth mother and the woman’s athletic ability, there were traits she picked up from the other women who provided the maternal touch that Mike just wasn’t able to give her. Trixie, Stephanie, and Arista were all there to show her the ropes of being a girl and give her advice on boys. It was thanks to Trixie that she got involved in soccer at a young age, a hobby that she would carry into her later life. Over time, she also picked up kickboxing as well.

Most people see Wren as sarcastic and abrasive. She doesn’t tolerate nonsense well and puts school ahead of just about everything else. This causes many to see her as a buzzkill, but a few people manage to see the goofy side of Wren that seems to come hand in hand with being a Wazowski.

When she’s not on the soccer field or in the gym, Wren can usually be found with her nose in a book. Graduating in the spring of 2043, she applied and was accepted into medical school. She’s got her sights set high, though she’s still trying to decide on a specialty.

Between her athletic commitments, studying, and her job at the hospital as a PCA, she can almost always be found with a cup of coffee in her hand to combat her total lack of a normal sleep schedule.

Connections:

Cameron Woods - best friend/boyfriend - the crush started at a young age but afraid to admit it, Wren squashed her feelings down and in high school started dating someone else. Years and some bumpy interactions with Cam later, the two are dating.

Delilah Barril - the best friend - they both hate people which leads to a friendship that works.

Nikolai Romanova - friend - both athletic, they like to challenge and push each other.

Alani Ryan - friend - they kick box together and have a nice, friendly rivalry going.

“You guys just sit around and roast each other?” She laughed shaking her head. “Talk about goals. I mean that’s great, but I’m sure my face will let you know if you start to get a little over the top on the gushing over your man.” She laughed a little. “I mean you’re dad isn’t wrong. I can’t speak much - I haven’t really ever had to deal with my heart , not yet at least.” She shrugged a little. “Alright alright.” ordering the food she flopped on the other side of the couch. “Twenty minutes they said.” 

“Yeah. We were best friends first and old habits kind of die hard. Our entire friendship was built on insulting each other. Now we just added making out into the mix.” Wren laughed. “Alright, I’ll be sure to keep an eye out for you gagging over there.” Pulling a throw pillow onto her lap, she shrugged. “It’s scary as hell...but it’s worth it. My dad always said the more terrified you feel, the more real it is because it means you finally have something to lose.” She grinned over at Alani. “Excellent. Time travel works up an appetite, doesn’t it?”

“That’s pretty amazing. I mean congratulations on all your accomplishments to get there.” She grinned towards the other with a small laugh. “Oh! I hear labs are pretty wonderful active dogs. Huskeys too.. and their really pretty.” 

“Thanks. It’s really not that big of a deal.” Sure, she’d sacrificed most of her social life, but Wren believed it to be worth it. “I’ll keep that in mind.”

“Well let’s not make this a weekend thing. I can’t imagine time traveling ever going well.. you could mess up a few things for people I’m sure over time.” He laughed a little. “Oh wow.. that’s a lot to have on someone’s plate.” 

“Trust me, I don’t plan on making it a weekend thing. Mine are already booked until I’m thirty,” she laughed. “It’s not that bad actually. You just have to learn how to manage your time.”

“That’s an understatement,” Trixie giggled. She nodded with a big grin shortly after, “Absolutely! I like you and you’re driven and smart and I know you’re gonna go places, so might as well give you a little bit of a head start, right?” She nudged Wren lightly, “Well, duh, Wren. It’s not like I’m gonna call you Miss Wazowski, that’s just weird.” Trixie tilted her head for a moment in worry until she listened to Wren talk about her step mother, the blonde’s eyes lighting up in excitement for her best friend. “Really? Like Mulan, army chick, martial arts Mulan?! That’s so great! And a little sister?! How old is she? Oh,” She put a hand over her own heart. “I’m so happy for you guys. You deserve it, your dad, too. I mean, hey, sometimes we run away from love because we’re afraid that we can lose it, but, you took that risk and, from what I can tell, Cam makes you really happy.” 

In her time, hugging Trixie was normal. The blonde had always played a huge part in her life. Perhaps that’s why she did it now. “Thanks, Trixie. That really means a lot.” The girl laughed, shaking her head slightly. “Can you really call me Miss anything when you’ve changed a quite a few of my diapers?” Wren smiled, nodding her head. “Army chick, martial arts Mulan. That’s the one. She’s been more of mom to me than my actual mom. Yeah! Stella! She’s eighteen and a little bad ass.” She couldn’t help but smile as they talked about Cam. They’d been best friends since they were in diapers. “I mean, he pushes my buttons...like a lot some days, but there’s nobody I’d rather fall asleep next to.”

“I wouldn’t have to, but I would theres a difference. I wouldn’t want to pis of your boyfriend.” He rolled his eyes at her, “You always had him, might I remind you. That far from counts. I never said I wouldn’t just that it wouldn’t be easy, or fun for that matter…” He ended up pushing people away.

“Why not worry about pissing me off?” She laughed. “Yeah...you have a point there but how many people meet the person they love when they’re infants? We’re a rare case. Love isn’t supposed to be easy, Nikolai. You just have to find the person who’s worth it and then fight for it. You can be an asshole sometimes but that doesn’t mean you’re going to push everyone away. You know how I know? Because the right person won’t let you push them away. They’ll push right back.”

“But I’m your idiot,” Cam smiled in a cheesy manner at his girlfriend. It was their secret way of saying I love you to each other that no one knew but the other. That was the beauty of their relationship. “I know you will, but just know it’ll go to the grave with me,” He winked at her as they continued walking. He knew to keep up with Wren as she walked quicker. It reminded them of when they were younger, racing each other down the halls. “Puhlease, you’re going to look so cute in your Mouse ears. Can’t wait to post all those cute pics.”

“Yeah, you are,” she grinned. So much of her time had been wasted in denial. She’d dated other people and forced herself to smile when Cameron did the same. Wren had gotten excellent at hiding the jealousy that cut through her chest anytime another girl flirted with him or touched his arm as she laughed at one of his jokes. Being able to kiss him whenever she wanted, to laugh freely with him, to touch him and know that he belonged with her. No matter where life led her, she knew she’d be happy with Cameron by her side. “Good--” biting her lip, Wren turned to face him as they reached their destination--”now kiss me already, Woods.” Leaning against the wall, she pulled him to her as she rose on her toes. “If I have to wear those Mouse ears and you post pictures there will be consequences.”

“Well, we’re two kindred souls who sometimes think alike, it’s a rarity,” He said jokingly. It was the little things he loved to joke about with Wren. A lot of people saw her as abrasive, but he knew that there was more underneath the surface. She was compassionate and hard-working, stubborn, but easygoing at times, too. It amazed him–she amazed him. “I pinky swear I won’t tell a single soul,” He chuckled as he took her hand and started off and away from the purple tent. “You’re on, Wazowski.” 

With an affectionate grin, Wren shook her head slightly. “You’re an idiot.” She’d said that phrase a million times over the years. That phrase held a multitude of meanings. The most important of these was I love you. “Good, I’ll hold you to that,” she grinned. Biting her lip, she looked up at him. The closer they got to being alone together, the more quickly she walked. “I hope you’re ready to wear Mouse ears. I think you’ll look adorable.”

“Eat? Oh Wren I could hold you while eating and the other thing but it would be ungentlemanly of me to do so.” He laughed shrugging slightly, “Who wouldn’t be. I mean even my little sister Roza can find someone to at least flirt with her, I may be slightly jealous.” He spoke rubbing the back of his neck showing that he might be embarrassed. “Who knows though really I am a gruff guy lots of girls can’t stand being around me.”

“That’s what I’m saying. You’d have to put me down if you had to piss,” she grinned triumphantly. “Nikolai...don’t be stupid. There’s somebody out there for everybody. So what if you’re gruff? I’m an asshole most of the time and I found somebody.”

Catalina nodding. “Med school? Oh wow, that’s a whole lot on your plate huh? I mean it’s all going to be totally worth it in the end though. For sure.” she nodded. “what kind of dog would you want?” She asked with a smile. The talk was simple, and probably wasn’t leading them to any sort of answers - but it was keeping her mind off everything.  

“Yeah. I start in the fall. It’s not that much...okay it’s a lot but I’ve always loved school so...” Wren paused thoughtfully. “I don’t know...probably something with a lot of energy. I’m pretty active aside from the whole being trapped in a hospital most of the time.”

“Not into the whole daddy thing?” She laughed more making a face. “Well.. I’m just going to act like they’re not fathers.. cause they’re still young.” She said laughing as she shook her head. “Right, forget you love birds.” She said with a small smile on her face. “Yeah.. that’s true. I mean I’m honestly amazed my parents are in denial fighting each other over it. They both just kinda seem… accepting? It’s weird.” She shrugged. “Right so pepperoni, extra cheese, stuffed crust? Side of bread-sticks?” 

“Whatever helps you, I guess,” she laughed with another dramatic cringe. “Let me know if I get too sappy and I’ll throw in an insult. Our relationship is primarily roasting each other anyway. It’s so great.” Throwing her hands up, Wren grinned. “We’re all dumb when it comes to affairs of the heart. At least that’s what my dad always says.” Stomach growling, she gave a nod. “That sounds amazing, oh my God.”

When I take away you foot holds it sure does. Not much way to use your weight against me when you have no leverage.” He laughed pushing her hand away after it brushed against his jaw, “If you know any girls who actually find me attractive and are of appropriate age send them my way.”

“You’d have to put me down eventually. To pee, to eat. Anything.” Grinning, Wren gave a soft laugh. “Awww, getting lonely Nik? What is age appropriate for you? Besides, I don’t talk to many girls so I’m probably the last person you want to set you up. I talk to Alani...Alex...there’s Tessa. I don’t talk to her, but she’s here a lot visiting her parents.”
