First of all, a general content warning for this blog for horror, blood, gore, nudity and maybe some mild(?) nsfw. With that out of the way -
Hello! I'm Silas, a queer artist with a fondness for evil elves. I'm big in to video games and ttrpgs, and a lot of my art is related to those things. But what I love most is creating illustrations for my the little world building projects I always have simmering in the back of my mind.
I keep this blog very art focused, but I also have a side blog for shit posts/unpolished meme doodles/fandom-y stuff. Maybe I'll even post cosplay there at some point? Idk. (Update, the sideblog is kind of dead but idk but it will get revived one day.)
To find me on other sites, check out my carrd.
To see art I've made, see the #my art tag. Check under the cut for a few more tags of interest.
A few more interesting tags:
#dnd campaign: shattered realms - art for a long running dnd campaign I've been playing with some friendos. There's a lot of art I haven't posted on tumblr because I drew it before I started being active here again. Maybe I should pull some of those out of the archives so this tag isn't jsut all Itha...
#oc: ithildun thevrilos - my beloved druid, my beautiful disaster lesbian. Also known as "Itha". I play her in the shattered realms campaign, and I can't stop drawing her.
#setting: solarium - tag for my science fantasy setting, with elements of cyberpunk and eldritch horror. Kind of neglected currently. I have a lot of older art for it sitting around that I may or may not post at some point.
#oc: gh0st - solarium character. A slutty elf technomancer. My favourite child, but it doesn't look like it because a lot of their art was drawn before I became active on tumblr again. Hey fellas is it weird to feel gender envy for your own OC?
Will probably update this list in the future if more OCs ever get the art they deserve :')
I fell off updating Tumblr with my art again, so my frosty gal is getting posted in June. She's the first part in a planned series of illustrations of witches themed after the four seasons.
Elvenkind are known to have a deep inherent connection to the Source, giving them a particular affinity for magic and magical practice. It would follow, then, that elves should be disproportionately affected by Source corruption. But publicly the fair folk wave off any concerns about its impact, and no major cases of corruption sickness involving elves have been recorded.
However, one can observe that elvenkind's numbers have slowly but surely diminished over the last century. Prominent figures have faded out of the public eye. And it has become increasingly difficult for outsiders to travel to the elven homeland.
We know elves tend towards secrecy when it comes to what they consider "internal matters". And we can assume they have the means to enforce that secrecy. Due to the risk potential widespread corruption among elvenkind could pose, I believe its in our best interest to study this matter independently.
Thinking of making some posts about my experience migrating from Windows to Linux, particularly from an artist PoV. If it helps free even one person from Microsoft's shackles, it will be worth it.
Also at this rate my spouse may permanently silence me if I don't find another outlet for my Linux evangelism.
I find it comforting that I can come back to Tumblr after disappearing for months and see a bunch of activity notifications on old art posts of mine.
Most social media makes our creations feel disposable, things to be consumed and forgotten. I really appreciate that Tumblr is instead designed to let people rediscover old things.
Huge shame Baru lives in a world without crypto. The woman was born to set up a cryptocurrency with the full intent of destabilizing the government only to inadvertently rugpull the people who trusted her
