Qiu lin headcanons for step two with Mc.
I once again got nothing but to wordvomit, no one writes for them bro
Anyway when qiu enters that teenage stage they becomes colder, push people away.
For a second, you think they'll push you away too, but then they don't.
They grow their hair out, pierce their ears, start going by they/them, and doesn't have the energy to care about anything.
Being with qiu through this part of their life is hard. They have a much more laid-back attitude, and its like their problems cloud everything good in their life.
Oftentimes, you'll spend hours cooped up in their room. when they want nothing to do with the outside world and they're stable enough, they run to you. When they want an escape, they call you or go find you.
Often times with qiu its not about trying to fix anything, but about being with them. Present, real.
You'll find yourself accompanying them through reckless choices, you know it feels like they have no one. Leaving them is too much for your soul to bear. So you tag along, back up every decision they make. And when you really cant get behind something they say? You follow three steps behind. Ready to catch them if needed.
90% of the time, you'll be the one putting in all the effort, and yet it doesn't feel one-sided. Instead, it's a devoted kind of effort. Knowing you're there, that you're making a difference in their life.
Covering for them and reasoning with their parents, backing them up at school even if you know they don't need the help. They're much more harsh at this stage. Won't hesitate to tell someone to back up or just flat out ignore or insult.
Bike rides around the neighborhood or park with music or days spent inside hiding away from their parents in your house, their house, or the forth in the backyard.
You've got a long way to go with qiu on this transition. Not all of the time is easy. Fights aren't uncommon. They're volatile, moods and emotions changing by the day or hour. Your relationship with them is one that tenses and loosens throughout the years but will never snap. They know it, you know it. And neither of you are strangers to openly admitting feelings that are clearly there.
While it's not defined during this step of life, for a variety of reasons, it's not hidden either. Oftentimes, either set of parents finding you both sound asleep next to if not practically on top of each other.
Neither of you finding 'personal space' to mean much. Jealousy during this step of life is prominent. Maybe not out loud but in little sounds, expressions, and a quick pull to guide either them or you away from whoever is taking up too much time. And while open about all this, and anyone with two eyes being able to tell what this is- you'll find that qiu's identity, school, hormones and getting to discover who you both are just dont make this the time to define any kind of relationship.
Instead its a quiet emotions that lingers and follows both of you into adulthood, what ends up becoming of it, only time will tell.
This is lowkey the vibe i got from step two, okay byeeeee
