"Eugh, yes! They've gone far too jolly and hopeful... not good, no!" The shadowy deity of despair had whized over to the table, cupping the sharp chin with her hand and thoughtfully looking over the vials lined up on the surface. Give them a little despair - that's what she was responsible for, right? Aftermath of Chaos required a little bit of actual chaos beforehand! Picking out a vial on random, liking the swirling colors in it the most, Milena scooted back over to Eris, handing it over. "Izzat alright?"

Loki’s eyes never left the other woman who seem different then the ones around her. Loki knew in his own heart that this one he had to keep a good, close watch on. As the other spoke, Loki let a thin smile over his lips, almost as if he was glad to have met someone with such god-like abilities before him.

“A pleasure, Lady Milena. It is acceptable to have one greet me, but majority of the time, there seems to be a purpose behind these meets, would you not agree?” Loki arch a brow at the other, to await patiently for the other to answer.

Following the Trickster's statement with a slight, soft scoff, the Greek deity hunched her shoulders draped in black, shrugging. One would say that in contrast to the gloomy exterior, the female had been that of lighthearted, easily entertained nature who had simply delighted in her own powers. And that assumption would be quite close to the truth.

"Well, duh! People always want something when they go to a god. Be it to make a deal, to beg for mercy, or to inform them they're being a giant bag of dicks... it's always something." Apparently, Hades' blunt use of language was strong in this one. Tilting her head to the side, Milena grinned at the mischief maker, spark passing in her red eyes.

"I simply heard too much 'bout you to miss the chance to see you for myself~"

A hallucination, that he denied, claiming he was above such things. An illusion. That of own sanity, perhaps. Was somebody truly playing with him, or was he, finally, losing his mind? Well, the responsible party was not yet planning to reveal the answer. Was not yet looking to make it this easy. He wouldn’t truly shoot at his own shadow, now would he. Not when it had laughed back at him, cackled, chortled in malicious glee. Doing it in his own voice.

Oh, the young goddess was truly having a field day.

Johann’s jaw clenched. His head began to grow heavier as he continued to look around, trying to find the source of this obviously skilled master at shadow manipulation. And now his own voice mocked him! He faced his shadow once more and aimed his gun. This was ridiculous. It moved like an entirely different being! It wasn’t a shadow. No… This was something else. He opened fire, but the blue beam just hit the wall, leaving a black burned mark against the wallpaper. “Reveal yourself!” he shouted.

Delightful! Glorious! He actually did just shoot nothingness! Oh, that mark would be a riot to get rid of later, still smoking, scorched wallpaper letting out quite the smell into the air of the room. It did not matter to the shadow. In fact, his own shadow seemed to separate into two - and as it did, the smaller part of it darted across to another wall, to the left of Johann, staying there as but a unidentifiable silhuette. And laughed. Now, Schmidt's own voice was mingling with that of female's, of a girl's malicious, gleeful giggle, slithering across the ceiling to hover above him. "No~!" With that, all lights in the room went out. And through the pitch black illuminated only by Red Skull's own weapon, that cackle echoed off from every wall.

She chewed her thumbnail in thought, “Despair, an entity personifying it then? one who rules over it? Either way I suppose you’d probably know me quite well.” She frowned brushing her hair back again. Her eyes were bright and blue, but they held a constant sadness.

Not simply feeling it, not simply seeing the melancholy in the blue orbs of the other female, no; tasting it. Like an aroma of an incense that would keep burning on forever, it lingered around the mortal on manner of an unremovable aura. Continuous misery, constant feeling of hopelessness. Hard not to know such a source of sadness. "It's goddess," she'd utter in a casual manner, slowly circling the other as if in examination - it was hard to tell whether she walked or floated, so fluid her movements were. "I suppose you'd be right, m'dear..." Letting a toothy grin grace her features. "...Aurelie, was it?"

Milena's the name. Despair goddess, hang out in the Underworld and Tartarus--the usual, y'know. And youuu, dearie... {suddenly flying downwards to lightly poke the man into his chest with her ashen finger.} ...are the unkillable mouthy mercenary, hmmm?

A gentle, barely audible giggle ringed in the air like a tiny bell, like a barely contained laugh of a child. This was just like hide-and-seek!

Only, better. In her perception, anyway. Slithering after the reformed murderer like a black snake across the flat surface of the street, the air seemed to have become colder, possibly sending goosebumps down one’s spine. Oh, what ails you?.. The very wind seemed to whisper.

Freaking out at the faintest voice the wind would carry over, even though nobody was there. Certainly not where Victor was looking at. Who are you talking to, you silly man? A breathy, echoing chuckle would ring in the blond's ears, the shadows she had travelled through merging, nay, hiding behind his own. Perhaps, even becoming his shadow. There is no one there... This was always an amusing little trick.

Johann froze at the scene before him. Did that just happen? He had to blame it on his current fever. It had to be. He was many things, but not one to hallucinate. Looking around and stumbling over his feet as he turned, he pulled out his Tesseract weapon. “Come out! Now! These games are not humourous and my patience is thin!” He filled his voice with authority in attempt to get his message across. He wasn’t going to let this person make a fool of him.

{ an amused giggle had escaped the dark grey lips of the deity, who.. actually, had appeared to be hovering in the air. lounging there, even, on a cloud of black smoke acting as a personal flying carpet, lying on her back in the most chilled out position ever. she'd glance down at the mercenary, upside down, narrowing the ruby eyes. } Despair is more of a phase after agony. That one when you're 500% done with everything and wallow in own misery.

Shadows slithering across the walls, like slow thick snakes, like several clawed arms crawling across the dark stone gathered behind the stranger, behind that tall figure dressed in black, stopping there as they hid in his own shadow. Like a prankster, like a poltergeist, the deity'd softly snicker to herself, child-like noise escaping into air, appearing as a faint echo. A tendril of smoke, a shadow materialised, darted forward to ever so gently, ever so subtly glide across the other's shoulder. It was hardly even a touch. Not even a brush, nor a nudge. More of a gust of cold wind felt despite the layers of clothing. "Hey, dark and sinister man~"

Not that she had asked for a long monologue, but the goddess would not stop that wordflow either. Let him speak. Let the warrior indulge in a cheery speech filled with disgustingly endearing optimism, with hope, with a light side to everything, even death. Happiness, joys of life, rainbow and unicorns! She had tried her best not to gag, not to cringe or roll her eyes, keeping her expression fairly impassive - even if her slender arms did cross under her chest, heavily breathing out through her nostrils. The ninja had a point. He did. And with it, he had only validated the importance of her existence. It was the way he was talking about it that was fairly sickening.

"I gotta say..." she'd muse in a low voice, not bothering to conceal the teasing note in her speech. "...I've never yet met a mortal so.. optimistic."

      “Would you like to hear a joke?” The voice’s raspy, it’s deep and it’s pregnant with glee. Mainly because there’s someone here to keep him company.        “Come along now,” taking a step out of the shadows growing out of these alleyways, “I don’t bite,” his face is veiled in these dancing silhouettes, “at least not much.” The wind howls with the afternoon updraft, a stray sheet of the Gotham Gazette is thrown up into the gale gust while the distant honks of car horns and screeches of asphalt and burning rubber mingled with the menagerie of indistinct conversations and millions upon millions of footsteps.       The city was alive, and this was it breathing.

Was this not remarkable? Not impressive? To spot a creature lurking in the shadows, a being becoming one with the pitch black of the sleazy, filthy alleyway of this living megapolis. To realise that somehow, somebody was there. Not just an illusion, not a hallucination produced by yet another junkie's mind stumbling their way through the streets. No. A person. One question would remain - who? And who was it that had spotted her? Curiousity spiking and attention turning, the focus of the fairly young (by standarts of her kind) deity would be entirely on the veiled, lanky silhuette. "A joke?" The voice in which the question would be asked, nay, whispered, was a soft, echoing sound lingering in the air for a moment longer - followed by a small giggle, it was clear that it came from a girl. Yet nothing could be seen in the darkness yet. Nothing but a pair of ruby eyes on the wall, and a white crescent of a toothy grin. "Go on. Amuse me."

She herself kept her hands in front of her, an oversized sweater, her fingers just peaking out of the tops of the sleeves.  “A Goddess of Death? Not the personification…I already know her…but…” She couldn’t help but find a strange beauty in the other woman, her fingers moved to her hair just long enough to brush it back.

Generally, the grey-skinned rascal was a very.. animated individual. She'd twirl, she'd walk and even float, siting herself down on a seat out of conjured black smoke, one leg over the other; even her hair was in a constant motion of gravity-defying proportions, flowing along with her movements as if underwater. A thin eyebrow raised at the mortal's statement, followed by a chortle and a shake of her little head. "Death?.. Nah, that's Thanatos." Hold up, a she? A frown contorted the female's features, followed by a shrug. Death had more names and more forms - who was she to question that, after all. "Despair, dearie. That's what I am. Underworld is simply the domain full of dead people that my father happens to rule."
