Personal headcanon time: Sol tries to eat well whenever possible, especially since staying healthy is important for astronauts. He avoids eating out at fast food places and cooks for himself if he has the time. He especially got into cooking after HAT-1, as he found getting really into some labor-intensive dish helped relieve some of his anxiety.

Once every month or couple of months, though, he’d allow himself one ‘bad’ thing to eat. He and Clay made it into a sort of tradition once Clay started training at the Space Center and could hang out with Sol more often; usually they’d go eat at a nice restaurant and decide on some dessert that they’d split.
