I got the 2nd shot yesterday and I’d already had my period for 8 days. I posted about how I felt sick on fb and a friend of mine said they got a 19 day period after 2nd shot. I am going to require a blood transfusion. RIP

There is actually a Director of Entertainment Media at the Pentagon and the US military will literally read scripts and only support the ones that portray them in a way they approve of. They will provide financial support, allow no-cost use of bases, weapons, military personnel as extras, etc. But they will also literally not cooperate and force rewrites if they don’t like anything. They’re literally controlling how the average person views the military.

Ignorance is not realizing how much space it takes to farm all those veggies and grains vegans want to eat, or realizing how many pesticides and dangerous soil treatments go into growing those thing en mass.
I’m not saying we should burn rain forests, because god knows deforestation is causing a lot of issues in our environment, but somewhat surprisingly, the “super foods” you buy at expensive organic markets aren’t grown in a tiny little piece of land either. Farming, no matter what you’re farming, takes space, and veggie or grain farming depletes the nutrients in the soil, which animal farming then helps to restore.
Keyboard warriors who have never actually even been to a real farm can kindly fuck off. Maybe don’t burn the rain forest, but also maybe don’t shit on farmers when you know nothing real about farming.
At present a full 1/3 of the planet’s land surface and 2/3 of available agricultural land is used for farming animals. If we look at cows, for example, it takes 16 pounds of grain to make one pound of beef. That’s 94% more land, and 94% more pesticides than just eating that grain directly. All told, livestock consume 70% of all the grain we produce, 98% of all soy, and a fifth of all water consumed globally. Farmed animals take in far more calories in crop feed than they will ever give out in meat, meaning that they are literally detracting from the global food supply. If the world went vegan, we would add an addition 70% to the world’s global food supply.
Using a more concrete example if we take a 2.5 acre piece of farmland the number of people whose food energy needs can be met by this land would be 23 people if producing cabbage, 22 for potatoes, 19 for rice, 17 for corn, 15 for wheat, 2 for chicken, and just 1 for eggs and beef. It is undeniable that by any reasonable measurement we could feed far more people using far less land if the world moved towards a vegan diet. This is why even the United Nations is advocating a global shift towards plant based eating. When we consider the massive deforestation required to create grazing land for farmed animals and to grow the crops to feed them, and that 91% of formerly forested amazon cleared since 1971 has been used for cattle grazing, the impact that this would have not only on humans but the environment and endangered species cannot be overstated.
As for this odd claim about soil depletion, it is the large-scale mono-culture which is responsible for the majority of soil depletion, and as already established, the vast majority of these crops go to feed farmed animals, not humans. You’re also making quite a lot of unjust, blatantly irrational assumptions about the people you’re talking to here. Most animal rights activists have been to farms, and the idea that we’re all frequenting “expensive organic markets” is pure stereotyping. This sort of response is not just factually inaccurate, it’s also intellectually dishonest and incredibly lazy.
This is so funny to me bc most vegans go out of their way not to inconvenience others. Won’t talk publically about veganism, brings their own snacks and packs their own lunch, pays for their own food, tries to be as unintrusive and as discrete as possible BUT the second we aren’t okay with animal cruelty and exploitation we’re high maintenance.

in 2020, when everyone was isolated at home, fossil co2 emissions in the US only dropped by 11%. think about how insane it is that when almost every person living in the second largest GEG emitter was at home for months, the effect they had was a reduction of barely 11%. and yet that fucking carbon footprint calculator is shoved down our throat all day long. a whole 4 years ago when that article came out saying only 100 companies are responsible for 71% of global emissions, everybody just blinked and went “no, thank you. now have you bought enough metal straws?”
and i’m not even addressing the blatant racism, ableism and classism that coats every single one of these “personal responsibility” arguments.
Vegan or not vegan, your common enemy is capitalism. The company selling you vegan shit is likely owned by a larger company that uses animal products. Please learn class consciousness and fight the real problem.
and check for western ideas in your discourse and how you apply it to non western ppl especially indigenous people, because simply saying “humans are a disease, we all believe we are superior than animals” seriously erase the victims of both the capitalist industry of meat and veganism that preys on native people and the different ways that other cultures engage within nature and with other living beings.
your eating choices are yours to choose if you are lucky enough to do it, but Hunter-foragers aren’t your enemies so stop endangering their way of life with your western organizations thus helping capitalism spread over all groups (also they practice the only non harmful system of subsistence to the environment so…) instead focus on the capitalist multinationals that damage nature and it’s inhabitants, but don’t play into capitalism hands by destroying native people ways of life that have been going on since the beginning of humanity.
I’m having some trouble understanding what is actually being advocated here. What specifically are you recommending that we do? Who should we be buying from? Are you just suggesting that we fight large corporations and capitalism? Is there a reason we can’t be doing this while also advocating for the rights of animals, as many intersectional vegans already are? Are you under the impression that anti-capitalism, workers rights and indigenous rights are mutually exclusive in some way? Who exactly is saying that indigenous subsistenance communities are our enemies? Can we not fight the oppression of humans and non-human animals alike?
