Lisa Godfrey is one of our second year artists who will be exhibiting at our degree show this year... "I hate it when I feel like I'm being judged as a single mother and forced (unrealistically), to feel like you have to be a Super Mum, so I thought I might as well become my alter ego. I'm going to create a video of the goings on as a real life Super Mum!" @wishitwas1989 is an MA at writtle school of design and will be exhibiting her work at the Writtle degree show. She has been working closely with the Salvation Army... "Our old clothes are full of life. They’re sentimental effervescent memory triggers that stir up our emotions, causing us to re-live moments and remember our past. Only when they don’t belong to us anymore do they become objects, objects that hold on to our little snippets of life. Used clothing offers up smells, stains and abrasions as small clues that help us conjure up stories of where they’ve been. @chloedarlingblog is an MA student at Writtle school of design, he current exhibition work is titled 'I am a princess' "I've tried to re-use/ make everything in the exhibition. I believe we are becoming a cosmetic society in the fact everyone wants bigger and better, brand new and perfect. When really the old, the worn and imperfect can be just as perfect and everyone deserves to feel like a princess." Paula Musgrove, a third year student studying at Writtle University College uses a strong narrative in her work, often conveying pain, although this may not necessarily be apparent to the viewer. Her current work addresses personal concerns of anxiety and entrapment, examining the way in which they are fuelled by the continued repetition of past behaviour. Dani Wetton is a Masters student who will be showing in the exhibition in May. She explores the properties and tensions of different materials in her work. Usually resulting in a sculptural or installation piece. She creates work which evokes everyday feelings and responses within us. Her work can be seen at the degree show from the 17th-24th May. Diana Nebrada Gomez, one of our second years is basing her work around PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder). Looking at not only how the condition affects an individual, but those around them. Come see her work at Writtle University College 17-24th May!

Maxine Miller is a third year student at Writtle University College. She is exploring techniques using light in such a way that it only reveals certain components depending on which colour light is used. Ellie Downing, a second year student is currently experimenting with photography. Her recent work is inspired by identity and whether or not we have an identity in a “selfie generation.” Her final works will be in the show at Writtle University College 17th - 24th May 2017.

Dana Sychugova is one of our second years who will also be exhibiting at our show in May. Having created these stunning collages recently, it is a recurring technique she uses in her work. Come down 17th - 24th May 2017 to view her final pieces!

Jade Lambert is one of our third year students. She is experimenting with ideas using her experience from working as a garden designer recently.
