WILDSTAR JUMPSCARE So a few weeks ago (months, really) I found these textures inside Wildstar's client files (first two images). There isn't a model left behind, JUST the textures. I thought they looked really cool, so I decided fuck it I'll try to recreate what the species might have looked like (last two images). The files are labeled as "Harradin_Female" and combined with the silver spear texture I found as well, I get the impression that these might have been the precursor to what ended up as the Falkrin (the big brutish vulture people, to jog your memory).

If the planets align and this post finds its way past an ex-Carbine dev, I would love to know more about the Harradin, and see any art they might have had.

My boy Seeker, back before he defected from the Dominion and he was still Lieutenant Caspian Serapis and a scientist for the Collegium. Here he is having a Very Bad Time in Grimvault (to be fair, what other time is there to be had in Grimvault?).

Absolutely phenomenal art done by Klaisen on twitter, they did such a fantastic job with the mood and lighting and emotion in this piece, exactly what I was looking for.

I decided that Seeker’s backstory from his Cassus days could do with a little more friendship, so I promptly went and invented some friends for him. These were all liked-minded people of similar age whom Seeker met and befriended during his late teens/uni years, bonding over the idea that Cassus and the Dominion as a whole were generally awful and needed some MAJOR rehauling.

Now officially dubbed the Bourgie Bunch (thanks to @wethatkindoforc ), here from left to right we have Decima, Nephthys, Isidore, Caspian (Seeker), Jonas, Lucea, and Otho. (Jonas was the only lowborn. He constantly reminded the others that they were posh and pretentious.)

Mechari Espers and Spellslingers

Some background: Back in 2015, when I had started the Mechari rp circle. but before I had ever written my first mechari head canon document, I had concepted some ideas on how to make Mechari who were spellslingers and espers.  At the time neither class was available for them, it had been stated by multiple devs out of carbine that the original intention was to have all classes on all races.

In preparation for that day I began running plot lines centered on the idea and collected every bit of lore I could get that supported it in canon.

Why now and not then?  I plotted and waited and my fellow mechari rpers plotted and waited.  Carbine began to roll out the first of the new race class combos with Chua Warriors and Aurin Engineers.  Excellent! Would it be Granock Stalkers next? Draken Espers? Or would the Mechari at long last be given their magic?  I had no intention of releasing my information till the classes were announced, so these ideas stayed in the background waiting for the day…

Instead the game shut down and we never saw an update past that.  The game is still alive in its fans who still create art, roleplay, and maybe more.  In the spirit of what was to come and to support people continuing to create their stories I present to you here the results of all our plotting, rp, and brainstorming.  I would like to thank Scriptkitty for her input regarding espers. Havensong for his on Spellslingers. And Cryosia for being my partner in crime through the bulk of this development.

The following information is intended as more of a starting point instead of an all encompassing guide leaving room to add your own ideas on how exactly your magic mechari might look and act. I hope these ideas inspire you.  And should you be a fan of a wildstar race other than mechari I would love to see similar documents regarding how the other unreleased race class combos could happen in lore.
