Regardless, I see them developing feelings for you even while that situation exists. A third possibility is that this person has simply lived a lot of life already. They may have been married before, and for some, I even see children. In any case, they become interested in you because you're quite different from them. One thing that stands out is how protective their personality is. They may idealize you quite a bit and place you on a pedestal. They might see you as innocent, exceptionally sweet, or simply someone worth protecting, which only intensifies their desire to care for you.
