Me:
Me when I’m doing the “freelance dance”; checking the mailbox for ‘dem checks!
When a flaky client says they will call you at 1pm, it’s then 1:30 and you’re hungry.
My face when a Realtor® inevitably sends me a photo for their business card that looks like it was taken 15 years ago.
All the local print shops in this small town bidding on the same job.
When I have both digital presses running at once.
When I keep pressing CANCEL on the digital press and it keeps printing another 50 sheets before finally stopping.
My face on the day my boss put CS 5.5 on my work computer.
My face when a paper rep we never order from kisses my boss' ass.
This one time, the manager of a local print shop asked me:
"Won't the crop marks print on the job?"
Me: "No."
Him: "That's amazing!"
When I make a wrong cut on the job, ruining the whole stack.
When someone gives me a stellar review of a design piece I made.
When front registers to back on the first pull.
What I'm thinking when a client asks me if I can send them the native InDesign or Illustrator files because they might have the programs on their computer—to save money on typesetting.
When I am really feelin' in sync with what my client wants for their design.
My face when a designer actually sends me a perfect file.
The rare chance an attractive designer walks in AND sends flawless files.
