Jae laughed, “Alright, maybe I’m a little good looking. Nice to meet you, Jin-sun. As you can tell by what I put as my contact name, I'm Soojae. But, call me Jae. So, are you new here?”

A reflexive smile spread across Tae’s face at the small peck, and he looked down, clearing his throat in an attempt to mask it. “Yeah, I am,” he carried on the joke with one of his own, and knowing Jae, it really would be a joke. “And we’re gonna drag you along too. Y’ever set foot in a gym before?” he asked teasingly, picking the kitten out of Jae’s arms and setting her down gently on the floor. “Remind me to buy her some toys. Before she destroys all of yours,” he spoke with a smirk, watching her walk off to explore before he turned back to Jae, taking the opportunity to move in closer without the threat of crushing the tiny animal. He brought a hand up to cup the side of the older boy’s face, brushing his thumb over his cheekbone, “Two questions: one, have you been dressed like this all day? And two, when was the last time you ate? And I’m talking about real food, not donuts.”

“What’s a gym?” he replied with a laugh, and watched as Tae set the kitten down on the floor. “She’s too small and innocent; she can’t destroy anything,” he grinned looking at Yuki walk around exploring her new surroundings. Jae didn’t want to admit that he was actually in his boxers and a cut up shirt before Tae had entered, so he brushed the question off, “This is comfortable, look at how soft it is.” He rubbed his sleeve on Tae’s neck to prove his point. “Real food, huh? I...ate a granola bar this morning,” he tried not to laugh because that wasn't true at all. “Actually, no, I did have a donut. How did you know? Are you magical or something? It wasn't my fault, though. There’s nothing in the fridge except milk and old takeout.” He sighed, “I guess I have to go grocery shopping before I starve. I think it’s been a few days...maybe three since I’ve eaten real food.”

Dark hues scanned the name briefly before chuckling lightly at the little monkeys. The boy wasn’t sure if the other was actually that oblivious or if he was just messing with him, causing him to tilt his head briefly. “Well, getting the number of a very good looking boy would brighten almost everyone’s day, right?”

Jae grinned, “Aw, shut up. I’m not good looking. You are. What’s your name? I need to know who I just gave my number to.”

“Eager, hm?” Teeth sunk down on his lower lip as he hummed lightly before holding out his phone to the other. “But yeah, here. If you could type it in? That would just make this day even better.”

“Do I sound eager? I’m just helping you out because you lost your number.” Jae gently took the phone in his hands, worried he might drop it. He typed in his number and added the contact name ‘Soojae🙈 🙉 🙊’ before handing the device back to the other boy. “Oh, so your day was already great? And little ol’ me made it even better?”

His eyebrows rose subtly at Jae’s slip of the tongue. Or at least he assumed it was a slip based on how red the other boy was turning. So Jae was just as unsure as Tae was about where they stood then; he made a mental note to clear that up before things got awkward again. But for now, he gave a small smirk, nodding as Jae went on to cover up his tracks. “Tteokbokki’s a cute nickname, and I suggest you get some tissues because she will be eating healthy. Maybe not all organic but definitely healthy. I mean I know you’re gonna spoil her anyway, but I want her to be hella strong,” he pet her head again before he bringing his eyes back up to meet Jae’s. “And I might be busy but I can definitely make time for my irresponsible, unicorn onesie wearing boyfriend,” he smiled, not at all used to hearing those words come out of his own mouth.

“I can live with her eating healthy, just not all organic,” he said while scrunching up his nose to show his disgust. “She will be hella strong, I mean I hope. Are you going to make her work out with you?” Jae tried his best not to laugh at his own joke but ended up giggling. He didn't know what to say upon hearing Tae call him boyfriend. He knew if he said anything about it the words would just come out in stutters. Instead he quickly kissed the younger boy’s cheek. He looked down at Yuki and then back up at Tae, “My arms are getting tired, you can hold her now. Or should I put her down so she can explore her new home?”
