now , landon was pretty tipsy at this point , finding not much else to do but drown his sorrows and boredom by emptying a bottle of chardonnay . that is probably the reason why he didn’t recognise the male seated to his right , only turning to look him over properly once he had heard that unmistakeable voice . “ fucking hell ! lenny ! no , wait - that’s not it . luke ? shit . don’t tell me . ” he pretended to think hard for a moment , as if this man’s existence was forgettable . unfortunately , that was not quite the case . “ levi . ” he laughed heartily , turning to the bartender . “ two scotches , for me and my friend here ! ” he moved down the seats , making his way towards his - nemesis ? friend ? landon made himself comfortable next to levi , lazily slinging an arm around his shoulders . “ tell me , how has your life been since you escaped this SHIT-HOLE town ? ” he raised his voice , letting the locals know exactly how he felt about their home . funnily enough , it used to be his home too . now , it felt anything but , it was foreign land to him now .
Quirking a brow, Levi watches Landon ramble on in pure amusement as he mentally takes note of the slurs attached at the end of his words. It was clear as day that Landon started the party a little too early - especially with the way he was patronizing Levi as he seemingly forgot his name but lightened the joke with a drunken laugh. He tensed up the moment he feels Landon’s arm around his shoulders, shrugging it off because he most certainly wasn’t drunk enough for that. “Fuck sakes, Parker. When did you start drinking?” Levi huffs as his original drink is brought to him, bringing the glass to his lips to take a small sip. “It’s not even ten o’clock, bro, and you’re smashed. Clearly, I have some catching up to do,” Levi responds as he takes another large swing from his glass. “It’s been a hot minute, hasn’t it? Love how friendly you are in person, but want me dead in the group chat. Fucking whiplash.”
