Neeja was already running late for work when she was running down the street towards Granny’s diner. Doing her best to tighten up the apron that sat across her hips, she wasn’t paying much attention to where she was going. This, as it had on many occasions, led to dark haired girl running smack into the back of another pedestrian. “Oh my gosh, I so didn’t mean to do that. Why don’t you follow me into Granny’s and I’ll buy your lunch.” She gave the other a sweet smile as she took her first look at who she had bumped into.
