Finished reading the Imperial Radch trilogy by Ann Leckie. Hell of a good read if you like heavy space operas. It inspired me to draw the primary villain, Anaander Mianaai.
Finally managed to ink this one. Best. Show. Ever.
Matt: Hey Allan, I was wondering if you could do a commission for me. Me: I can't make any guarantees, I'm in the middle of packing, but I'll see what I can do. What are you thinking? Matt: A Battle Monkey Onion King *THUD* Matt: What was that? Me: Nothing, I just dropped everything I was doing. You wanted a what now?
Morning warm up, a continuation of a doodle I did a few days ago. This is a character I created back in high school, in the ancient period of 2000-2003. It was a primitive time, back then, where all you needed to do to make someone badass was give them a trench coat and sunglasses.
Morning warm up. Making a Dream.
Warm up sketch, will not continue with this since my last "warm up" drawings became my only drawings. Saw the last episode of Gravity Falls yesterday. I make no hyperbole when I say it was the best Disney Channel Cartoon in the last decade.
Random psychic. I need to work on my marker colouring. I'm used to just using inks.
Morning warm up. At my husband's request, a drawing of himself as Spaceman Spiff.
Read (devoured, rather) the complete Phonogram series last week. Decided to draw myself as a phonomancer. Iâd wrap my identity around Harvey Danger, an under-appreaciated one-hit wonder band that thrived on derisive anger; at themselves, at the world. They arrived late to the grunge scene and had a hard time gaining a crowd that was quickly growing stale. King James Version, their second Album was a full-fledged âlook at what we can doâ shout at the world. It was largely ignored; tragic, considering itâs their best album. They finally called it after releasing their third and final album, Little By Little, where if the first album was a petulant teenager impatient to get away from his hometown, and their second their college-aged rebellion and full-fledged rage at the world, Little By Little was their bitter adulthood. The anger is still there, but it changed, their self-diminutives taking a softer tone, their white-hot rage turned to smoldering bitterness. All three albums are fantastic, though Where Have All the Merrymakers Gone is next to impossible to find online.
When someone tells me "the key to happiness is to just smile."
Rotations: how i hate them.
Hey this lineart doesnât look that bad!

My life.
Working on my two page assignment for layout class. I may just ink this one.

An OC for a hero/villain named âThe Stasis Queenâ. A much beloved ruler of a small and peaceful kingdom which found itself under siege by a horrific army. All attempts at diplomacy failed and her army was too small to withstand such a force. Eventually, inevitably, her kingdom had fallen and her capital was the only remaining city unconquered. The night before the final assault, she cast a spell, one she promised would turn the tide of this war. The next morning, every man, woman and child, save the Queen were slaughtered and the army revelled in their newly claimed capitol. At dawn, the villagers, who had been mercilessly killed the day before, woke up in their own beds, completely unharmed. They found themselves sleeping around, next to or on top of their enemy, too drunk and tired to fight. The enemy was taken by surprise, but they once again emerged victorious. The following day, the same villagers again awoke, unharmed and unaware of the previous day. Again, the army sustained heavy losses, and this time retreated.
The villagers were saved by the Queenâs spell. However, they were cursed to live the final day over and over again; never to learn, never to grow or evolve, every day they would wake up and forget. If they died or were injured, they would still wake up. And so the queen remains, in her kingdom and adored by her last remaining subjects, the only one who knows the curse she inflicted upon them for their own protection.
