if any of my fellow executive members see this tumblr (which i have actively told them about and they 100% have the login to this account) i might just cry......get out of my promised land....let me be cringe and free.....
those funky little grubhub robots have infiltrated the campus and the radio station has a perfect aerial view of them leaving and returning to the home base......they zoom so fast....the takeover has started....
#DJMonday When Mackie Quave was a senior in high school, he won the radio announcing division of the 1939 National Forensic League Finals in Hollywood, CA. When he returned home to Asheville, NC, he quickly got a job with a local radio station. In 1945, he joined the staff of WKIX (later WMSC) in Columbia, SC as program director.
While at WKIX, the University of South Carolina offered him a chance to teach radio part-time. He took it and later established the campus radio station, WUSC. He moved to rival station WIS as assistant program director and chief announcer in 1947 and remained there for 14 years. – "Mackie Quave, A Man Called 'Cactus'," The Columbia Record, November 15, 1969.

That's it. That's the post.
this is what we call dead air in the radio world and no one wants that
born to post on tumblr forced to post on facebook....this is the life i must lead as the social media manager for a college radio station.....if only WUSC alumni used tumblr the world would be a much better place
Happy Meme Monday!
my music taste? thanks for asking, its exclusively the mountain goats and music I hear on an internet impersonation of a nevada local radio station that plays 90% cool indie music, but with hotline bling and like 3 french pop songs thrown into the mix
hey sorry if i was offputting and strange and bizarre and weird as fuck last night i was just being myself
its okay
We Love You
HAPPY HALLOWEEN RADIO LISTENERS AND AUDIOPHILES ALIKE!
Check out WUSC's ACTUAL blog (not this excuse for the social media manager to putz around on the internet) for some incredible music recommendations from our DJs! We have two Halloween posts for the masses:
by DJ Blondie:
and a playlist by DJ Bish:
WUSC 90.5 FM and HD-1, Columbia, SC.
when you take the cd out of the cd player and it's warm that's because it's alive
Pulling out the warm CD from an ancient CD player is like receiving a gift from an unforgiving god. It's a miracle that our CD players haven't consumed the constant sacrifices we feed it
Just spend literally all of yesterday matching up mentors/mentees from our current dj body and our incoming baby djs....everyone is so cool and awesome and i love the uniqueness of the human race and how creative everyone can be with their reveal themes and how incredible humanity is and how college radio brought us all together :)
Strolling around campus with a loser aura because I'm a college radio DJ
