rebel heart
today avdiivka would celebrate it's city day. but there is no city anymore
The fact that nowhere is safe. Schools, universities, playgrounds, hospitals, malls, stores, homes. Everything is a target for russia. Imagine being at home with people you love. Cooking, laughing, talking, making plans. You feel safe in those moments, don't you? Well you're not, as long as russia is your neighbour. Imagine sleeping in your bed. Going for a run in the morning. Coming from work. Going to a café. Sitting on a bench in park. You think you're safe? You're not, you're a target.
And the fact that today's victims are from the "safe zone". Lviv is in the west of Ukraine, which we usually describe as safer than other parts of Ukraine due to being further from russia. Well, "safer" is still not safe, you still could get killed in your sleep.
Here is a link to donate to Okhmadyt children hospital, which had been heavily damaged by russian missile attack. They hit the part of the hospital where cancer patients were undergoing chemo therapy.
I can't stress enough how important this hospital is for healthcare of Ukrainian children. Please consider donating, even a small amount is greatly appreciated, and spreading the word.
Kids with the hardest childhood imaginable, having traveled half the country to receive treatment for cancer, now having to receive treatment for shrapnel wounds and be dug out from under the rubble.
he’s so pretty 🥺(<-mentally unstable)
So surreal. This store is such a common place to just hang out and look at stuff. It's your go-to place for tools and furniture. Probably like Home Depot in USA.
Kharkiv, Ukraine after russians hit it with aerial bombs
There are already 40 injured and 2 killed.
The staff started evaluating people as soon as the air raid alert was announced, but the missiles hit the mall mere minutes later.
