Democrats Want To Stop Deportations By Shutting Down DHS

This isn't about reforming ICE. It's about halting the removal of illegal aliens, that is, the Democrat Party's most prized constituency.

Just like the last time Democrats threw the government into a shutdown, they have no leverage but are now withholding votes to fund the Department of Homeland Security while making ridiculous demands that the Trump administration is entertaining.

  If Congress doesn’t push more money to DHS by Saturday, funding to TSA and FEMA will be cut off this weekend. Democrat leaders say they won’t agree to any deal that doesn’t reform Immigration and Customs Enforcement, which is to say, make it effectively impossible to deport illegal aliens.

…A DHS shutdown isn’t going to stop deportations, and it won’t force any changes to ICE. It’s going to screw up the public’s travel plans and put lives at risk should there be a major disaster somewhere….

To borrow a popular slogan on the left, you may not like it, but ICE enforcement is what democracy looks like.

LEFTISTS, KEEPING NON-CITIZENS INVADING, VOTING-A simple, but deeply unfair and manipulative, narrative about ICE’s enforcement of immigration law congealed as soon as Trump took office: ICE enforcement amounts to egregious military-style raids in otherwise peaceful communities, and as such, ICE is responsible for any unfortunate violence that accompanies their enforcement activities.

  Obviously, that narrative has gone into overdrive since the unfortunate killing of Renee Good in Minneapolis last week. Facts don’t really matter here; anti-ICE hysterics are impervious to the fact that Good and her partner were specifically engaged in illegal activity. One can argue law enforcement should have behaved differently, but you cannot say Renee Good was an innocent bystander — she put herself in harm’s way. You can’t impede federal officers enforcing the law, let alone suddenly lurch toward them in a two-ton vehicle…

   A photo used by The New York Times and The Washington Post and displayed on cable news depicts as much. (To be extra sure, the Post then ran a column headlined “The abhorrent power of the photograph of a 5-year-old held by ICE.”) But, naturally, that’s not what happened….

Now if Trump can do a surgical sweep through our own government We The American People might be able to quit funding war in Ukraine or Daycares funneling money to politicians and criminal enterprises.

I appreciate what was done there, but it needs to happen here as well. Formed presidents, current members of Congress, members in the media and their heads, leadership in the three letter agencies need to be surgically removed and brought to Justice.
