Patient Zero [ Ned & Thranduil ]

    He knew the others were watching. They were always watching. When the other hadn’t gotten up  right away, he rose his hand, signalling them not to send anyone in.Patience was the key to gaining trust. Especially with this new patient, he would need to be extra patience with this one. Only be- cause when the other seen him, he would think only the worse. A man with the same face was going to be a shock to him.     A soft sigh left him as the other finally did began to sit up. It took some time but he finally  did and he smiled. Eventually his gaze lifted to look at him and his smile grew a little more.      “ There you are. ” He stepped forward now, only a feet between the two. “ May you stand? ” He let out as he pulled the stethoscope from his pocket. He would do a quick check of his heart  before brining him to another room where he  would do some more tests.

He just barely heard what the doctor was saying, the shock of seeing his very face upon another was frightening, and Ned wasn't sure if he was even really awake or not. Encircling his arms around himself, he grasped at the short sleeves of his gown, clenching his eyes shut tight and vigorously shook his head. He wanted to shake the image of his own face off of the doctor, or wake up and find that it was just another shitty day of being a lab rat.

He felt like his breath was being stolen away each second that the other man was standing there.

"I-I don't think I can," he shook his head again, pushing himself back on the bed, hoping to distance himself from the other, keeping his hands around himself.
