Yesterday, Jeff Gordon visited Penn State University to unveil his new paint scheme supporting the partnership between sponsor Axalta and Penn State. This car will run in the June Pocono race. Axalta, based out of Philadelphia, has developed a partnership in which students in engineering fields will have unique opportunities to get hands on and learn about their college major in bigger and better settings. For a select group of Penn Staters, they will get to go to Pocono and learn from Jeff Gordon’s Hendrick Motorsports team on engineering in racing.
Even though Gordon retires after this season, hopefully this is a partnership that can continue with Hendrick Motorsports. It will be interesting to see if it will continue with Chase Elliott, or possibly be passed to Earnhardt (I hope!), Johnson, or Khane. Either way, this is fantastic news for Penn State, and we can only hope for even more great things to come.
Did you know? Jeff Gordon’s foundation actually works towards finding a cure, and helping families affected by, pediatric cancer. What does Penn State’s THON fight to end? Pediatric cancer.
JP and I are having a date night on Friday night and I CAN’T WAIT.
I think the wifey is a little excited. Looking forward to a much needed fun night again.
If a female student got drunk and had her car stolen, the university would call the police. If she got drunk and had her computer stolen, they would call the police. If she got drunk and had her phone stolen, they would call the police. The fact that she was drunk would not even be factored in when assessing if a crime had been committed. But if she gets drunk and has her body invaded and her humanity stolen, school administrations are perplexed about what to do.
International Human Rights Activist Michael Simmons offered these words (via Facebook) in response to the May 3, 2014 New York Times’ “Fight Against Sex Assaults Holds Colleges to Account” article (via altersociety)

Wait a minute…
I have been laughing at this for hours now…
So, true story. The woman in this photo is Kendra Kaplan. Her husband was in Iraq for twelve months but the military has this thing called leave. Some of us may recognize the concept from old episodes of Star Trek. In this photo she is five months pregnant after conceiving her second child during her husband’s leave. That envelope in her hand is the ultrasound results. She waited for him to come home to find out if it was a girl or a boy.
There’s been several articles about it.The photo resulted in this woman receiving so much hate mail, from both internet cut-ups and the actual media, that she even took a paternity test and provided proof of her husband’s leave schedule. Her real life friends have stopped talking to her over these rumors.
Oh, and by the way, that baby bump is a two year old by now. People are still shitting on this woman over a nasty internet meme two years later.
So in short, you’re mocking a faithful wife for something that isn’t any of our damn business anyway and has long since been disproven.
Good job Internet.
i saw this on one of those strange little picture slideshow websites so i decided to post it ;) have fun kids

Kacy Catanzaro: the first woman in history to qualify for Mt. Midoriyama.
I just need everyone to watch this video [x]. She’s a 5 foot, 100 lb gymnast and she beasts through this insanely difficult, heavily upper body focused course like it was her morning jog. The camera keeps cutting to these massive, musclebound men in the audience with their mouths hanging open.
Can’t believe this happened yesterday.
2 Wins DOES lock a driver into Chase
These "experts" need to sit down and do some simple math. It really annoys me when a reporter asks a driver, "they think two wins will lock you in the Chase, how comfortable are you with that?"
DUDE!
16 drivers make the Chase for the Sprint Cup.
26 races make up the regular season. A win qualifies a driver for the Chase. 2 wins are more secure than 1.
If more than 16 drivers have a win, it comes down to highest in points. If less than 16 drivers win, those highest in points without a win get in, filling to 16.
So, simple math. Can 16 drivers all get 2 wins? 16 x 2 = 32. There's only 26 races! So that would be a no.
WOW! So difficult! Therefore, no matter what, a driver with 2 wins is locked into the Chase. Stop with the BS of, "oh, can a driver with two wins still make the Chase?!"
Yes. The answer is yes. So the drivers with two wins this year are in no matter what. Stop with the stupidity.
