Eden laughed a bit and snapped some pictures of him before turning back to the mountains and snapping some more of those. “They do, they do.” Eden said and held out the camera. “You wanna see?” She asked. “You’re a pretty great model.” She teased as she moved closer to him. “I’m uh..I’m Eden by the way.”

Wyatt sent a few more poses toward the girl, being just as over dramatic as the time before. “Well thanks,” he grinned, coming closer so that he could see. “Oh man, if my girlfriend could see me now. Thanks, Eden. Name’s Wyatt,” Wyatt introduced, looking over his shoulder at the mountain. “I think I trumped that mountain back there, if I do say so myself.”

“Pre-Law is definitely killing me. I can’t seem to get my head around it. Everything else is coming pretty easy, especially Italian but– Law… I don’t know why I chose to enter that career path.”

“Ah, I can see why. Pre-Law doesn’t sound like an easy major, that’s for sure. I’m a double major and even that sounds way more intense. Then again, I’m probably not good at Law, whereas I’m good at math. If you need any math help, I’ve gotcha. At least you could make a difference somewhere.”

“Oh uh…sorry. Don’t mind me. I’m just taking pictures of the mountains behind you..not actually of you.” The redhead girl said, realizing how awkward it’d be having her camera out like she did. Eden was prone to taking pictures in the moment and not being fully aware of the people in front of her. She was always taking pictures though, sometimes even of those people she was blocking. “I’ll just stop now…”

“If you wanted a close up, you could’ve just asked,” Wyatt smirked. He moved into what he assumed was something close to a model-esque pose but clearly, he needed some work. He’d only watched bits and pieces of America’s Next Top Model with his sister. “This work for you?” he giggled to himself, knowing that his jokes were never quite as funny to others as they were to him.

“What classes are you in this semester? I’m sure it can’t be that bad. But then again, maybe it is. Actually just ignore that. What classes are killing you slowly but surely?”

“She’s not trying to marry me off, she’s trying to marry you in.” Amelia corrected him with a quirk of her eyebrow, grin tugging up further on her lips. She knew that the odds of marrying your high school boyfriend were slim to none, and the odds of actually still being married to them twenty years into the future were even smaller but if she was the betting kind she’d put money on herself and Wyatt beating those odds. “Here lays Amelia Maeve Cohen, her optimism failed her at twenty years old,” she carried on, heaving a dramatic sigh at the end. “Troy is my favourite Carter, to be honest. Only marginally, though. It was a very close tie between the two of you but ultimately he came out on top, sorry.”

“You’re right, she just wishes I was her son-in-law, already... Even if we’re only 20,” he agreed, rolling his eyes a little bit. Not that marrying Amelia wasn’t in the plans. To him, it almost seemed natural. Of course he would marry the girl he’d been with for nearly four years. There was no one else even in his realm at this point in life. “I’ll keep you optimistic, okay? You’ve just got to breathe, dammit!” he grinned, realizing that statement sounded a bit over-dramatic but then again, what was Wyatt Carter without the dramatic antics he seemed to exude. “I can’t say I blame you. I’m marginally shittier than him at most things. I do have him on the whole talking thing but him not talking is kind of part of his charm,” he reasoned. Wyatt’s hand instinctively reached for one of Amelia’s blonde locks that had gone astray with the breeze, placing it behind her ear. It was basically one of those cheesy movie-moments that Wyatt constantly wanted to die at but it’s just how the couple was.

Beck laid down on his bed with a huff, his gaze switching between the ceiling and Wyatt’s paper witch hunt. He couldn’t help but smile, grateful as his friend tried to help. “No,” he admitted in a mumble. Beck raised his hands to his face. “Last night, I got hammered with some guys from the soccer team and when I sobered up, I stole one of their laptops and wrote it. Was it groundbreaking? No, but I definitely printed it. I know that much. And it’s due today,” he groaned. Beck sat up and ran a hand down the length of his jaw. “That’s okay. I’ll just drop out of school. Live off the grid. You and Amelia will take me in, right?” He teased, looking up at Wyatt with inauthentic despair. 

Wyatt rolled his eyes. “For someone so intelligent, I find it hard to believe that you wouldn’t save it somewhere,” he reasoned, aloud. Although he wanted to help his friend find his paper, it seemed sort of fruitless if he wasn’t assisting as well. “Ya know, laying on your bed probably isn’t going to find this thing. -- How long do we have until it’s due to find it?” he asked, looking under Beck’s desk for the missing documents. “Yeah, we’ve got you, although you’ll have to pull your own weight. No slackers in my household,” Wyatt grinned, knowing that really, he would take in a guy off the street. However, Amelia, the responsible one, would certain be the one to make Beck motivated to do something with his life. “Make sure you grow one of those cool ass long beards,” he added.

Beck groaned, a sort of frustration that rose deep from within his chest, but it wasn’t directed at Wyatt and hoped he knew that. He didn’t need to turn his head to know it was his best friend behind him. He continued to search through the stacks of papers and medical journals on his desk. “Just any hope of passing my Immunology class,” he answered, his words drenched in cynicism, a paper clip balanced between his teeth like a toothpick. Beck sighed and turned to face his company, taking the paper clip from his lips. “Have any interest in writing a sixteen page paper about the experimental allergic encephalomyelitis caused by Multiple Sclerosis for me?” He teased lightheartedly, a look of satirical defeat on his face. 

Raising an eyebrow, Wyatt took a step back with his hands up in defeat. “No, no,” he rejected. Backing up to the other side of the room, he picked up a piece of paper nearest him, examining it. “Not there,” he shrugged, placing it back down. “Did you save it on your computer? Or e-mail? Or ya know, anywhere to recover it? Because you definitely don’t want me writing a paper on that kind of thing. I’m a Math major for a reason, Becky-Boy,” Wyatt tried, not really sure how he could help otherwise.

“I’m sure you leave yourself wide-open for things too, but I bet she doesn’t do the same thing back, now does she?” Arielle asked softly as she looked at the male. “Exactly how old is Emilee?”

“I guess not,” he shook his head. “But she does get her own version of revenge, ya know,” Wyatt explained, a bit a-matter-of-fact-ly. “Uhhh, I’m almost 21... so she’s 23,” he decided, finally. Although he was good with numbers, he wasn’t good at remembering dates or even how old his sister was, apparently.

“You’re right. Better safe than sorry.” She agreed with a nod. “Ah right!” Slapping a hand to her forehead, Shelby attempted to knock a little sense back into herself, obviously not being the best at keeping up with who was seeing who these days. “You do have a girlfriend, don’t you? Well I can definitely see why you won’t be lip locking with any randoms this year then. I’m sure she is much appreciative of that.” 

Wyatt laughed slightly, not really blaming Shelby for forgetting that he was with Amelia. Amelia was new to the campus, anyway. Then again, they’d still been together for nearly four years. “I do, and you’re right, kissing randoms probably would make me a shitty boyfriend...” he trailed off, remembering the time that he was almost guilty of that same thing. It was a while ago but he still reminded himself consistently about it so he’d never make that mistake again of almost kissing another girl. “It’s good for me, too, because finding people who want to kiss me probably wouldn’t be the easiest task,” he laughed. “I’m sure you have them lined up,” Wyatt added.

“I’ve had plenty experience with annoying little brothers.” Emily throws her head back in laughter. Despite the quarrels shared between the Bishop siblings, Emily always harboured a deep love, and protective instinct towards her two siblings, “Though they don’t live in the country so my daily quota of annoyance hasn’t been filled lately.”

“I’m really good at it, so I’ll always offer my services if you miss them,” he chuckled, shrugging. Wyatt had always been around Emilee, that is, until she went off to college. Being that Emilee was two years older than Wyatt, it made them pretty close, even if she was constantly yelling at him to get out of her room. “Wyatt Carter, annoyance extraordinaire. Pleasure, of course. Although it may take me a while to know exactly what angle to come from,” he smirked.

“X-Men? Yes, that’s definitely a way to put it.” Alexandra breathed out a laugh. “I just imaged a Hallmark card with New year, new me in them and, god, I would burn it before I could even finish reading it.”

“I love X-Men but these people are definitely not X-Men, that’s for sure,” he joked with a small shrug. “Who would you even send that to? I’m not sure anyone wants a card from someone bragging about how they are going to become a new person for the new year-- really, that’s just a weird card in the first place,” he replied, knowing that he was taking the joke too literally but that’s what made it funny. Wyatt smirked. “Burn the establishment of Hallmark down, it’s probably for the best.”

“Hmm.” Emily pondered aloud, eyebrows hiking gently in a gentle hint of mirth. She too understand the satisfaction of being siblings, even so taunting such. Yet the even the harmless subject of her siblings leaves her lips to falter gently, which she quickly recovers before turning her attention back to the brunette man before her. “Is this a sign I should take a hike before I become your next victim, or?….”

“I wouldn’t worry about it too much, worst comes to worse, I’m going to just annoy my girlfriend or my teammates. Unless... You’d like for an annoying little brother to follow you around, then I’m probably your man,” Wyatt grinned, knowing that she truly didn’t want it. No one really wanted it but Wyatt-- being Wyatt-- had a tendency to go overboard.

“Your back, front, side – wherever really, mom’s got it.” To say that Jeannie loved Wyatt was a gross understatement and she was constantly telling Amelia to hurry up and marry him, making him officially her son - to which Amelia would roll her eyes and laugh, telling her mom to keep dreaming. Not that Amelia didn’t love Wyatt and want to marry him (how could she not after all they had been through together?) she just wasn’t in any hurry. She laughed at his dramatics, her hand moving to clasp over his raised fist, pulling it down and giving his fingers a quick squeeze. “It’s too late, I’m fading fast. Pretty soon I’m going to be flipping people off in traffic and walking across the neighbors grass for fun,” she joked, knowing that she was about as opposite of ‘rude’ as a person could get. “Stop being jealous of your sister. I love you both equally.” One of her arms wound itself around Wyatt’s middle and she leaned up, kissing the tip of his nose before dropping back onto flat feet. 

“No doubt, Jeannie and I go way back. But if she doesn’t stop trying to marry you off, I swear you’re going to end up thinking she doesn’t like you,” he grinned, reminded of all the times that Amelia was reminded, in front of Wyatt, that she was to marry him. Not that Wyatt didn’t revel in it. He loved it, really. Especially considering all they had gone through to get to that point. All the people in high school that said that they shouldn’t stay together-- that they couldn’t stay together. Feigning a look of shock and concern, Wyatt shook his head. “You were so young-- too young-- to let the bitterness and disgust take you away,” he smirked, closing his eyes to accept her kiss to his nose. “Equally? Well, guess I’ll have to work on that. That’s simply not acceptable,” he said, a hint of sarcasm making itself especially evident. “Next you’re going to say that you love Troy-Boy more than me, although I’m not sure I’d blame you.”

“What is it with you brothers and your constant need to torture your sisters?” Arielle asked with a small laugh as she looked over at the male. “I never have understood that about you boys.”

“Hey, it’s not my fault she leaves herself wide-open for things to happen to her,” Wyatt responded, a bit cheeky. “Emilee has a tendency to be over-dramatic so it makes it that much better. I do it for that reaction, really.”
