@wydmelania
aileenfinn:
“Bloody hell, don’t ya startle easily?” Aileen laughed, her typically loud laugh. “Anyone would think ya had a secret to hid, Nia.” The blonde Hufflepuff raised an eyebrow playfully at her housemate, and dormmate. The Irish-born girl had been brought up in a town where people would lie and hide things from their own nanna’s if it meant their families survival - so she could easily spot suspicious behaviour from a mile off. “What’s got ya up so early then? Brisk mornin’ jog?”
As soon as Melania heard the sound of a loud, almost melodic, laughter coming from behind the tree, she knew that it couldn’t be anyone else but Aileen Finn. Melania could recognize her dormmate’s laugh among thousands. Checking to make sure the zipper of her grey hoodie was closed, she nodded, satisfied, and turned towards the other Hufflepuff. “Me..? Jogging..?” she chuckled. Anyone that knew Melania knew that she wasn’t the most athletic wizard. In fact, the blonde Hufflepuff really only went to Quidditch matches because she liked the food trucks. Specifically the one that served pudding. “I could say the same thing about you, Finn. Plus, I got here first. What are you doing here?”
gryffindorrivera:
“Do you like this one?”
“I actually tried this one on at Gladrags Wizardwear the other day, but I'm pretty sure I like it better on you. Bloody Hell, you look amazing.”
basiliuscarrow:
Basilius settled into a chair in the library, letting out a deep breath as he closed his eyes and relaxed, taking a break from his homework. Stretching a little as he opened his eyes again, looking around before he spotted someone looking at him. “What?”
“It’s nothing, it’s just.. Your jumper’s inside out.” Melania let out a soft giggle and pointed at the boy’s grey knitted uniform. The seams were showing clearly, the tags were in the front, and the grey color was a little lighter from being turned inside out. The blonde Hufflepuff smiled politely. “Just thought you'd like to know.”
tristannorton:
“Just me.” Tristan rounded the corner with arms raised in mock surrender. “Didn’t mean to startle you.”
"Oh,” Melania said, relieved at the sight of Tristan Norton, a fellow Hufflepuff. “It’s you.” Leaning back against the trunk of the old tree, the girl gazed further down the hill to the lake below and quickly thought of a way to change topics. “It’s very peaceful, isn’t it?”
riley-caldwell:
Riley rounded the corner out of the forest only to almost run smack into another person. She laughed as she saw the other girl jump into the air “Wow, someone’s jumpy. What are you hiding there? Must be something good for you to jump that high.”
“Thank God.” Melania let out a relieved sigh when she spotted the blonde Gryffindor. “Oh- Eh.. Yeah, it’s quite illegal. It’s a skiving snackbox, apparently the sweets make the user appear to be ill.” she lied, quite impressed by her own lie. “I wanted to use them to get out of potions today.” The girl chuckled, but made sure to keep her distance. She could feel little Tumble moving around in her inside pocket, and he was about to be discovered. “What brings you here at such early hour?”
splcndora:
“It’s just me.” Splendora had been walking around restlessly, just shy of the forbidden forest. Yeah, yeah, it was forbidden for a reason– but didn’t that just make it more intriguing? That was the same argument she’d been having with herself for the past seven years– the same argument that had gotten interrupted when she spotted Melania walking towards the lake. It was early– in fact, Splendora was most definitely taking advantage of her prefect status at this moment in time, and once again, the only reason she was even up was because she was restless. The natural honey blonde would rather walk around then continue tossing and turning in bed. Her hair changed to white to match the fog around her, adding to the meta’s early morning mood as she revealed herself to her friend. “What’re you doing up at this time, mate?”
Melania looked up and was relieved to find that it was only Splendora standing before her. Her white hair looked very beautiful in the misty morning sun, ‘though Melania was convinced there wasn’t any colour that wouldn’t look good on Splendora Hufflepuff. Melania still remembered the day her hair had turned a deep, purplish red color during potions back in year five. It was beautiful, and it was different. Melania liked different. “Me? Oh, well... Umm... You know what they say, right?” the girl asked. Tilting her head, Melania pointed to Splendora’s feet. "One stroll a day keeps the nargles away.”
eddiedalton:
“Eddie.” Eddie replied while looking around to see where the voice was coming from. A smile formed on his lips when he realised it was Melania. “Hey, other Puff.” He said with a soft chuckle “Isn’t it too cold to be here?” He asked as he took of his winter cloak and gave it to her. “Here take this one.”
"It’s fine, I don’t need it.” Melania spoke firmly, but before she could protest, Eddie settled his warm cloak around her shoulders causing Tumble to cry out in protest. The blonde Hufflepuff froze when she heard the dragon rawr coming from her inside pocket. “Ah-choo.” the girl sneezed loudly to try and cover up the sound. “Ah-choo.” Rubbing the bridge of her nose, Melania looked up at the boy and smiled weakly. “You cloak’s very winter.. ish.”
A thick fog still slept peacefully at the foot of the school, rolling slowly along the ground giving the illusion of walking on clouds. Melania made her way down the hillside towards a small dirt path that lead to an enclosed spot by the lake. Stepping carefully over several budding flowers, she took her usual spot at the foot of a giant tree. The petite blonde sat down on the soft grass, unzipped her bag and let Tumble roll around at her feet. Tumble was Melania’s pet dragon. Melania’s very illegal, secret pet dragon. He seemed to like the water and splashed in the shallows, but the blonde Hufflepuff began worrying that the giant sguid would eat him, so she waded in and removed him from the cold water. This was when a sudden sound — footsteps, she realised — reached her ears. Melania jumped into the air, grabbed Tumble and hid him in her inside robe pocket. “Who’s there?”
