âYou are a woman. Skin and bones, veins and nerves, hair and sweat. You are not made of metaphors. Not apologies, not excuses â
god i love her.Â
Oh, but Paris isnât for changing planes, itâs⌠itâs for changing your outlook, for⌠for throwing open the windows and letting in⌠letting in la vie en rose.
Audrey Hepburn as Sabrina Fairchild, Sabrina (1954)
what's your favorite color and why?
âBlue, because itâs the color of Evanâs eyes.â
how are you and evan? are there any kids in the future?
âWeâre doing great. Uh⌠weâve talked about kids but weâre both too busy to commit to that right now.â
evdemetriou:
âThatâs not a terrible idea at all, Iâd love to visit all of those places with you.â Evan said. If they plan this right, they could probably visit more than three places during the amount of holiday time heâll be given. A month, at least, of no work, emails, or phonecalls; just Andrea. He pulled out two glasses from the cupboard, holding them in one hand while he moved towards the refrigerator. âWhat do you want to drink?â He asked, eyeing the variety of juice they have. Evan would usually go for a glass of wine but heâs not feeling it tonight, instead grabbing the pineapple-orange mix. âYou can choose what we watch tonight, too.â
It felt a little silly after theyâd been together for so long, but Evan still had a way of making her feel a thrill go up her spine, like tacking âwith youâ to the end of a sentence. âWe could visit the Anne Frank house and drink champagne next to the river.â Like The Fault In Our Stars, minus making out in a historical landmark, and without chronic illness. âMm...â She pursed her lips in thought, resting her cheek against his arm because she was too short to get her chin over his shoulder to look in the fridge. âJust give me what youâre having.â Did pineapple-orange juice go well with white wine pasta? She supposed there was only one way to find out. Her brain began to churn with more ideas, but she kept them up in her head for the moment. âI donât even know whatâs on. Iâve been watching kidâs programming for so long - maybe we can rewatch Harry Potter.â Yet another kids movie, but at least it was one sheâd grown up with.
demetria: life is waiting for children to go to bed so that you can watch shit that will give them nightmares.

âiâm working off the if-you-canât-see-it-it-canât-see-you method. itâs working quite well.â it was the truth: the more he pretended he was fine, the more fine he was. âexactly. just fly back and forth. canadaâs warm season is enviable.â
âMm. I hope that works better for you than it did for me.â Andrea used to do that a lot, but instead of it working it just made her keep everything in until she just exploded and snapped at everyone. âIâve never been to Canada but Iâd like to. Have you been or is it just a dream at this point?â
adcnai:
âpreaching to the choir, babe,â he said, licking his lips as he put out his cigarette. âgreece should be everybodyâs getaway, honestlyâi think iâd rather retire to some remote section of canada.â
âHey, you know what? Mistakes were made, but at least weâre still tryna kick it and weâre doing our best - thatâs what I try to tell myself, at least.â She was happy now, and healthy, and thatâs what was important. âCanada? I hear itâs super cold there. Although, I guess you could go to Greece for the Canadian cold season and go back to Canada to catch Canadaâs warm season.â
adcnai:
âitâs because london is a depressive episode waiting to happen,â he said, scratching his cheek slightly. âgreece is gorgeous, yeahâlondon is like a desaturated painting comparatively. itâs sad.â
âOh, Iâm sorry. I get them too, sometimes. The weather gets to me sometimes, or I run into someone I donât want to see and it ruins my mood for weeks. But-. I have a long history of that so, canât get away from it.â She wasnât going to delve too deeply into that. âIt really is. The weather, the architecture, everything. But you know, maybe when I retire Greece will be my getaway.â
