Sometimes I watch her sleeping, and I wonder what kind of world she will grow up in — whether she will ever know what peace feels like, what home smells like. And yet, when she opens her eyes in the morning and says “mama,” everything becomes bearable again. I want to rebuild our home. Not just for the walls — but for her future. So, this vampire everything I’ve been seeing as of late has inspired me to watch an old favorite anime of mine called Shiki, so I spent half the night drawing this little fanart of it :] These two are Megumi, a young girl who is desperate to leave the small town to become famous in a larger city, and Chizuru, a mysterious new neighbor that just moved in to a newly built castle on the hill overlooking the village.
