"I never liked being compared to a flower. I thought it was his way of saying I was soft and delicate. If I were a flower, surely I'd have thorns and I'd be poisonous to the touch."

There's a new collection brewing that will take me a while to decipher and bring to fruition. Honestly it feels very 2019 to talk about a collection weeks in advance as we struggle through these platforms that make us try to bring only instant gratification. But maybe that's the pivot. Maybe it's slowing down and honoring the season of growth and steadiness in the change, who knows. What I do know is it feels right and that's what matters.

So without any formal pieces made quite yet, I'd like to announce a very personal collection that will be named "The Language of Flowers."

An ode to the blossoming late spring, the vibrancy and meaning behind them all, and their personal connections to me.

My last name is Flores. I fought against embracing Flowers most of my life, but as im in a phase where fight or flight are no longer an active part, it seems it's time for me to embrace the feminine energy that I carry.

I can't wait to bring this collection to life.
