Quick update to XO4
We are applying an update to XO4, ~5 minutes of downtime is expected.
DDoS Attack on XO1
We are experiencing an outage on XO1 due to an inbound DDoS attack, netops is working on mitigating and service should be restored shortly.
Resolved: The attack has been mitigated and services are online as usual.
XO4 Outage
We are currently looking into some issues that have arisen on the server "xo4". We appreciate your patience as we investigate into why this has happened, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Login Systems Maintenance
We are currently performing emergency maintenance to resolve ongoing issues on our back-end systems. This is affecting both logins and signups on our free hosting service, though websites are unaffected by these issues.
We appreciate your cooperation as we bring our back-end systems back online, and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Security Updates
We have been rolling out new security measures across free hosting the past couple of days including blocks to some major botnets and known spamming IPs (Forum\Comment spam). Tonight we are implementing a new set of mod security rules for Apache to further protect our customers against known and unknown exploits. So far we are seeing upwards of 10,000 requests per minute stopped by these new changes and hope to increase that even more with some fine tuning.
If you have any issues on your website or issues accessing your website please open a thread on the free hosting forum so we can investigate. The mod security rules should be showing a 403 if you inadvertently trigger a rule but it may not in some cases so please report to the forums just in case.
Free Hosting Maintenance
We are deploying updates to the free hosting servers over the next couple of hours which will cause some intermittent connectivity issues.
Update: This is now complete.
XO3 Maintenance
The server "xo3" is currently experiencing internal issues. We apologize for any inconvenience caused and we are actively working on bringing services back online.
Update: Services have now been restored to xo3.
Illuminated Server Migration
Tonight, we will be performing a migration for users on our Illuminated service. The migration will be moving the server to our private Cloud, which will ensure higher availability, and better performance for our users on this service.
Some downtime is expected, however it should be relatively short. You may see a message saying "This site has been moved."
We will provide updates as the migration progresses.
Update: The migration will commence tonight, 12-1-2014
Update: As of 00:39 EST, the migration is about 50% complete.
Update: As of 01:23 EST, the migration is complete. It may take a bit for DNS to propagate over to the new server. In the meantime, please refrain from making any modifications to your site, so that all changes are guaranteed to persist.
Illuminated Outage
We are experiencing an unexpected outage on the Illuminated server at this time. We are looking into the issue and apologize for any inconvenience this has caused.

We are currently working on resolving some issues with the main website that may be preventing some users from accessing and logging into the account portal for their accounts. We apologize for any inconvenience.

The infrastructure maintenance that occurred earlier has caused more issues with XO2. We are working to restore service.
Update 12:17 EST: Access to the server has been restored. We're working on resolving the outstanding issues with the webserver.

[Resolved] Infrastructure Maintenance
There will be a few brief interruptions of service on XO1, XO2, XO3, and XO4 as we preform planned Infrastructure and Network maintenance. Outages should be relatively short. Thank you for your patience.
Update 2:15 EST: This has been completed.
XO2 Emergency Maintenance
We have taken the server "XO2" offline for maintenance to fix an issue affecting multiple services on this particular server. We are actively working on bringing this server back online, and we apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Update 4:15 PM EST: The server has experienced a significant problem with its storage devices due to an underlying hypervisor hardware problem. This has lead to corruption on the file system that was replicated onto redundant copies of the disks. We are in the process of recovering the system at this time.
Update 4:50 PM EST: We are still working on restoring service to XO2. Thank you for your patience.
Update 6:40 PM EST: The XO2 server has been returned online. We are continuing to work to recover cPanel, web, and administrative services at this time. At the present time HTTP and MySQL are online.
Note: There has been some data loss. We do have full system backups available. The most recent recovery point was taken approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes prior to the start of this event today. The amount of files and directories affected is very small. If you have noticed any files or data missing please open a thread on our community forum and clearly identity for us what is missing. We'll get it restored. Initial counts show only about 60 accounts affected by this, which we will be proactively restoring.
