Can you imagine getting home from work and COOKING with the love of your life in your kitchen, together!! In comfy pjs and dancing to music while it rains outside! Then after you eat you go and snuggle up for a movie in your king sized bed and your dogs come and join you can you EVEN imagine??
Cuddling with no pants on and tangling legs with your thighs intertwined, that’s my shit right there. Sharing body heat and having skin to skin contact. Gets me way too hype.
The most powerful thing you can do right now is to be patient while things are unfolding for you.
This is SUCH an important lesson to learn!
Hi :) I just wanted to know if you had any advice on how to handle first deployments. I’ve only been with my airman for a few months and it’s only been a little over a week since I’ve seen him last and I’ve cried just about everyday since then. He’s projected to get back late March but that could easily change. I just don’t know how I’m supposed to get through the next few months if I’ve barely survived this last week. (1/2)
“He’s my first boyfriend where I’ve had to deal with someone I would do anything for going into a dangerous area and communication obviously not being ideal and I’m worried that if something were to happen to him, I wouldn’t know because he’s a pretty private person and none of his friends nor family know about me (that I know of) and he’s tried to promise me that he’ll be back soon and we’ll do all these things together but at the same time I can’t help but think negatively (2/2)”
Hi babe 🙂
It’s hard not to think negatively in these situations, but as you’re probably learning it doesn’t do you any good or make the situation better 😔 I’m not sure what his job is, but the military is good at bringing them home safely. Try not to expect constant communication, it’s hard and sometimes they can go weeks without it. But remember that if he can contact you he will 🙂 he would be missing you just as much as you’re missing him.
Arguements can happen easily, so try to take a deep breath and remind yourself that where he is would be extremely stressful for him.
I did a few things to keep myself busy and distracted (search “deployment” on my page to see some of the things I did during his deployment). I did monthly photo shoots and sent him the picture with a message. I sent him care packages. I threw myself into my studies, gym, my hobbies, I leant in my friends and family and found a new job. While it didn’t stop the ache completely, I used this time to better myself and therefore the relationship in the long run 🙂
Try to keep yourself busy lovely, remind yourself that he misses you and this deployment isn’t forever. Keep a countdown of his deployment to keep yourself motivated and he’ll be home, in your arms, before you know it.
Oh. And remember. No news is good news ❤️ my biggest advice is not to listen or watch the news. Keep away from FB articles and remind yourself he’s undergone lots of training to be able to perform his job in a deployment 🙂
I’m here if you need to chat. Stay strong! 💪🏼
Hello, I don’t know if you answer questions like this but my boyfriend of three years got his first deployment. He left earlier today and ever since then I can’t stop crying. I told myself I’d be strong today but I just can’t help it. I support him and am happy for him but it just hurts so much that I won’t see him for the next 10 months. I feel so alone because none of my friends have a military SO. I know I’m younger (20) than most military couples but I just want some advice on how to cope.
Hi lovely 😊
I know exactly how you feel. I felt the same when my boyfriend left for a 6 months deployment. I was 21 and I had no idea how I was going to get through it.
Something I did was plan and prepare his care packages. They were heaps of fun to get organise and I know him and his mates loved them. Another thing I did was do a mini “photo shoot” each month with a sign. I made a sign that said “X months down” and took a photo in a place that was memorable to us. For example, I made a sign that said “2 months down” and took a photo with me and the sign at a lookout where we have some beautiful memories together. Then I wrote him a short message to go with the photo. This little activity I did for all 6 months and it was something we both looked forward to each month. This way I had a something to do each month 🙂 I’ll attach one of the photos below - or search “Deployment” on my page”.
One last thing I did was make myself busy. If there’s a hobby you have or would like to get into. Do it 🙂 I threw myself into gym, dance, horse riding (which is my main hobby). I caught up with a lot of friends and work hard at uni. I took up a new job, anything to keep myself busy and happy.
It’s hard. And you’ll miss him, but use this time to work on yourself and your life. Cherish the times you get to speak to him, as they may be few and fair in between and remember that he’s missing you just as much as you’re missing him ❤️ And if you need anything, let me know. I’m always here for a catch 🥰

Not to be dramatic but u will never find anyone like me. The aura, effort, love, and kindness I bring is irreplaceable. There is a reason why people always come back to me

I promise to stay with you on your bad days. As time passes, I promise to forever accept who you were, who you are, who you will become. If we do grow apart, I promise to cherish the time I was granted to get to know you and to grow as a human being through simply being in your presence. I love you.
This message made my heart smile. I can’t wait either, I miss you so much. I’ll be waiting. Christmas couldn’t come soon enough.
Come home to me my love ♥️
