"These legendary warriors used up all of their power to defeat a great evil and their data was sealed into 20 totems; 10 champion level versatile humanoid forms, and 10 ultimate level powerful beast forms."

Plot – Ceardach

Stepping gently into the world, having gotten used to traveling via The Strands, the trio find themselves lost in a fog bank. Out of the fog some Heartless attack. The fight is cut short as mechanical automatons step through the mists and begin making short work of the Heartless. When it looks like the automatons are about to attack the trio they stand down and head back into the fog. The trio follow and as the mist clears, they are amazed to see a city of gears and steam. The automatons take up sentry positions at a gate and the trio can simply walk into town. There is a mix of steam and smoke that leaves the scenery dark but still stimulating as people wearing unique fashion and driving metal horseless vehicles roam the streets. Even Tank and Slinger are impressed in spite of the wonders they’re familiar with in Vedshala. When trying to enter a building the trio are stopped by the guard automatons who try to detain them for not having a required sigil. The trio are rescued by an individual who uses the words “override authorization” and the automatons stand down. The trio thank the individual who takes them on a small tour and explains a little about the steam technology and the automatons. The individual has to get back to work and leaves the trio better acclimated to Ceardach. The trio wonder where The Shrouded could be as there doesn’t seem to be anything wrong in this city. “Maybe the automatons kicked them out?”

As if on cue there is a commotion as heartless burst out of a manhole cover. Automaton sentries activate and begin handling the problem, the trio also step in to help. Surprise when fallen automations are being dragged into the open manhole. Story Choice: Both choices lead to a disused factory on the edge of the city.

1. “Follow those heartless!” Explore the dark maze in the sewers, no chance for NPC interaction or town exploration, but unique items can be found.

2. “Why would Heartless want automatons? Let’s ask around,” a chance for NPC interaction, additional shopping, etc.

Inside the factory the trio find The Shrouded examining the defeated automatons. When disturbed The Shrouded are not as talkative as they were in the jungle ruin, instead angered by the trio’s constant interference. They call the Heartless who possess the automaton scraps and become metal encased Heartless Knights, larger and tougher than before with built in weapons. The ensuing fight brings down the factory and The Shrouded escape in the chaos. The trio end up surrounded by police and sentry automatons who take them to the police station for questioning. With little to no evidence that the trio did anything wrong they are released. They explore Ceardach more and meet the inventor of the Automaton brain, his design is stolen (by The Shrouded) during the conversation with the trio. Pursue the thieves as they leave Ceardach and portal to the next world, Haransa (return later to resolve the story).

Returning – Jinzhou, Albion, Vedshala

The player can return to previous worlds now that Pindorama has been completed.

➢ Jinzhou: Has 1 visual difference depending on the protagonist’s morality choice; black veils cover the castle if the protagonist followed The Shrouded rather than save the princess. The NPC attitudes also differ if the princess lived or died. No one is openly hostile to the protagonist if the princess died, the truth of the situation is only known to The Trio after all, everyone is simply sullen in the hollow victory. If the princess was saved then the city is happy and NPCs are pleasant. Nothing else to do here except shopping and farm Exp.

➢ Albion: Is much the same as it was. The heartless are still an issue but the defeated king has been deposed and (the knightly order) has taken control alongside the mages whom keep the barrier intact. Nothing to do here except shopping and farm Exp.

➢ Vedshala: Is also very much the same. Tank and Slinger encourage the protagonist to report to Gallen to tell him what they learned from the talkative member in the jungle ruin, and the unfortunate news that they lost the trail. This is completely optional and unnecessary for story progression as the protagonist can simply use their keyblade to conjure a door at the site of The Shrouded’s dimensional cut and progress straight to the next world, Ceardach.

Plot – Pindorama

This world starts with 2 different cutscenes depending on the previous moral choice.

1. Normal interaction and examine the new area, a tropical jungle world.

2. Tank and Slinger angrily question the protagonist’s decision to abandon the princess without even checking if she survived, which allows for dialogue options to explain their choice to put their assigned mission ahead of anything else.

Walking through the jungle the trio are attacked by Heartless only to be saved by jaguar looking Beastmen. The Beastmen are gathering special fruit and flowers from the jungle to offer to their guardian beast for protection against the shadows (Heartless). Inquiring about a masked figure, the Beastmen confirm that there is such a person in their city, assisting their leader in the offering ritual that will keep them safe. The trio play dumb and say that they want to meet this helpful person. The Beastmen agree but only if the trio help them to gather the offerings first (the player explores the jungle for the necessary items, fighting Heartless as necessary).

The Beastmen believe in harmony with nature, so they don’t take more than they need of anything. At the temple city the leader thanks the trio for their assistance and tells them that the masked figure is at a temple ruin outside of the city, if they want to speak to them. At the temple ruin the trip confront yet another new masked figure and start a dialogue. The figure introduces the group as “The Shrouded” and they simple want to explore the worlds. Then the figure with the axe from Jinzhou steps out and joins the interaction. Heartless as summoned and the two leave the trio to the fight.

Examining the ruin for clues reveals that the guardian beast the Beastmen intend to summon can bestow great power to others, which must be why The Shrouded are helping the Beastmen. They intend to take the power.

Back at the temple city the offering ritual is already taking place. A giant cat-like beast is summoned and bestows its power on the Beastmen leader, who grows to a large size and immediately drops their benevolent façade. Now they are the strongest in the jungle and can take whatever they want whenever they want it, no more respecting the jungle, they want to destroy this city and build a new city like the worlds that the Shrouded have shown to them. The trio fight the empowered Beastman leader to a point, then the Shrouded with the axe slays the guardian beast and takes something from it (its heart, its soul, its energy/power) and the Beastman leader returns to normal.

Weakened from the fight the trio can’t stop The Shrouded’s escape and are left to deal with the Beastman Leader.

Morality Question: How should the leader be punished?

1. Compassionate: “Incarcerated or exiled, basically removed from society.”

2. Direct: “Allow the Beastmen to enact their own justice.” (Fade to black)

The trio leave the Beastmen to rebuild their city in pursuit of The Shrouded.

Plot – Jinzhou

Arriving in Jinzhou is a lot smoother. Tank and Slinger’s armour magically changes appearance to match the local (East-Asian) aesthetic which amazes the protagonist.

Exploring Jinzhou, the trio discover a squad of soldiers being attacked by Heartless and assist them. The soldiers inform the trio that the land is under the control of a powerful sorcerer who is holding a princess captive in order to subjugate the royal family and rule the kingdom with the heartless enforcing his order (not a conspiratorial story like Albion).

The soldiers were on their way to try and rescue the princess but they must return to the city now to recover and make a new plan.

Story Decision: No morality change. Both choices lead the trio to the castle eventually.

1. “We should escort the wounded soldiers back to the city.”

➢ Fight Heartless on the journey. Welcomed as heroes and go to meet the king with

the soldiers they escorted.

2. “We should rescue the princess.”

➢ Fight Heartless at a dark tower. Get defeated by a different masked figure with an obsidian axe and cast away from the tower. They are aided by the previous soldiers and taken to see the king.

At the castle the trio meet the king who explains the situation in greater detail. The sorcerer was the royal advisor and mage who was given the power to manipulate the Heartless by the masked figure. He took the princess hostage and now demands magical materials and knowledge. After deliberations and examining a map of the terrain it is decided that covert rescue operations won’t work, there are too many heartless for a small squad to handle. The best course of action is to regroup and launch a full offensive using the keyblade and Vedshala weapons to break through the front lines and whittle their numbers down to something the soldiers can handle.

Once inside the trio meet the sorcerer who holds the princess captive in a cage (rounded like a bird cage). Unlike the Albion King, the sorcerer gives the masked figure an ultimatum,

“Do something you dolt, or you’ll never receive what you came here for!” (This shows a contrast between the two Tyrants, the first was arrogant while this one is cunning).

The masked figure gives the sorcerer something that allows them to transform into a powerful serpentine dragon but stays on the sidelines to watch rather than get involved.

When the sorcerer is defeated the masked figure curses and claims that this world was a lost cause, cutting open a portal and leaving, but not before pushing the princesses cage out of the tower.

Morality Choice: one choice has additional content, the other unlocks later content.

1. Compassionate: “Save the princess!” [receive Royal Jade after the rescue]

➢ Additional content; the princess is saved and the trio are celebrated as heroes. They later return to the tower to open a door to follow the masked figure.

2. Direct: “Go after the masked man!” [receive Royal Jade immediately]

➢ Follow the figure’s path to Pindorama. If returning to Jinzhou later the kingdom is ultimately thankful to the trio but sad over the loss of the princess (yes, she died).

Plot – Vedshala

After arriving in Vesdshala, the protagonist is free to wander round and take in the sights.

The peaceful sight-seeing is interrupted by a siren and everyone ducks for cover as Heartless appear in the city. The protagonist fights the Heartless until a squad of Aetherpunk soldiers appears and takes over. The protagonist is questioned about who they are and where they got a Keyblade. They are then whisked away to the soldier’s HQ and given the exposition on the cosmic net, other worlds, the heartless, and the keyblades which shouldn’t exist because the keyblade wielders were all lost on a mission to stop the heartless once and for all (an intentionally vague explanation).

The protagonist shares their story about Albion and the masked figure with their obsidian blade which garners a strong reaction. The Sheerblades are then explained as the precursors to the keyblades, and the protagonist is entrusted with the mission to travel to other worlds and find the identity of the sheerblade wielder. It’s highly likely that the masked figure won’t return to Alabion, so the protagonist is told to go to the next word over; Jinzhou. Two soldiers from Vedshala volunteer to accompany the protagonist, a Tank and a Slinger (their nicknames), they should also be able to traverse the strands of the cosmic net so long as they are with the protagonist.

The protagonist must go through a training session first against the Tank and Slinger individually so they can test their abilities and be better prepared for what lies ahead. The protagonist learns their first spell from this interaction [Fire].

After training and shopping, the trio head through a new door and into the strands.

Party Characters – Tank & Slinger

Tank: The practical muscle. Not dumb, they reduce a problem to its simplest solution. They are practical and hands on, leaving little energy or tolerance for politics and intrigue.

“Is the door locked? Break I down.” “Will this plan put people in danger? We don’t do it.”

Despite the implied bluntness of their personality, they are not aggressive or intimidating.

Tank wears heavy armour and wields a shield, they also wield a heavy melee weapon.

Slinger: The cautious thinker. Not a coward, they like to consider the consequences and adjust plans until they’re satisfied. They don’t like to rush into things.

“We could go in that way, but it could be trapped. If we go this way it’ll surprise them.”

Despite the implied indecisiveness of their personality, they are neither anxious nor arrogant.

Slinger wears light armour and wields dual wands for light attacks used like firearms. They also have a Stave that they use for more powerful spells and like a rifle.

Named NPC Character – Gallen – Leader of the “Vedshala Protection Group”

The “Master Yen Sid” of Fabled Hearts. Gallen leads the soldiers that protect Vedshala from the Heartless and after meeting the protagonist, becomes their mentor and mission provider. He is authoritative but compassionate and understanding.

Plot - Albion

Life in Albion is peaceful. The village of Chester takes care of itself and is under the watch of the protection of the castle, so long as they pay their taxes. Everyone works, and everyone shares the benefits. The protagonist is free to roam around, interact with NPCs, perform jobs around town, etc.

Things change when the Heartless arrive. Shadowy creatures practically immune to physical attack and overwhelming the land with strength of numbers. The people fled to the capital where the high mages could raise magical barriers. The new way of life became one of survival. The king turned tyrant, ruling the kingdom with an iron fist and raising the taxation in order to fund and feed the (currently unnamed protective knightly order) whose sworn duty is to periodically leave the safety of the barrier and try to rid the lands of the Heartless, a never-ending crusade. The best way to ensure a comfortable existence and the safety of the kingdom was to join the (protective knightly order) and risk your life. Which the protagonist does. [Small Time Skip]. While on a crusade clearing the countryside of Heartless, the protagonist notices a person in robes commanding the Heartless. They communicate with the tyrant king via a scrying projection (like hologram communication) and they talk about keeping the (protective knightly order) busy, not caring how many are devoured by Heartless because there will always be more “fools” to enroll and take their place.

The protagonist interrupts and the robed mage calls the Heartless. They clash and the protagonist is overwhelmed, until they remember their dream and the Gallant Hound keyblade appears in their hand. The robed figure flees and the protagonist must fight their way back to the city to expose the tyrant king’s plans. In the city, the king purposefully has the mages turn off the magical barrier, blaming it on the protagonist “traitor” and turning the people against them.

First morality choice: Both choices lead to the castle but along different paths.

1. Compassionate: “I can’t leave people to fend for themselves,”

2. Direct: “I have to stop the king,”

The castle is crawling with Heartless that get between the protagonist and the King. In the audience chamber the king is speaking with a masked figure, “I gave you what you wanted, now help me with this pest!” The masked figure turns the king into a monster before using an Obsidian Blade to cut open a portal and leave. The protagonist fights and defeats the king, then demands that the mages restore the barrier to get rid of the Heartless in the city. Morality Choice:

1. “Spare the king. He might return to normal and can stand trial for his crimes.”

2. “Finish off the king. He’s a dangerous monster now,”

With the barrier restored the city is safe again. The keyblade reacts to the area that the figure cut open the portal and a door appears. The door opens and sucks the protagonist through, slamming shut and disappearing afterwards.The protagonist flies through a tunnel of kaleidoscopic lights (possibly insert a flying minigame like the Dive challenges in KH-DDD) before exiting in a wonderous magically advanced city; “Vedshala”.

Introduction

The protagonist (after choosing their appearance; masculine or feminine body type, hair style and colour, etc. and giving themselves a name) awakes on a stained-glass circle depicting an unknown prince or princess (to be decided). Before them stands four pedestals, from left to right: a shield, a sword, a staff, a stylus. They are asked by a disembodied voice (a textbox) “Stamina. Technique. Magic. Communication. Which do you believe takes priority?” and they are prompted to raise the height of the pedestals with a certain number of increments available to distribute between them (like a point spending system e.g., 5 “points” to start so all pedestals can be raised one increment each and one pedestal can be raised by one more increment, or one pedestals is not raised at all leaving an extra point left over to raise another pedestal by another additional increment). The pedestals can be raised and lowered until the player is satisfied with the levels. They can be as even or uneven as the player wants e.g., 2, 1, 1, 1 / 2, 2, 0, 1 / 1, 0, 3, 1 / 2, 3, 0, 0

The pedestals will fade away and the same voice (textbox) warns the player about an approaching darkness. This triggers the tutorial fight with the heartless. After a minute or so of doing no harm, the player receives the “Kingdom Key” keyblade and can defeat the tutorial heartless, including the Darkside mini-boss that follows. Then they are told that there are more challenges yet to come. Fade to black, and the protagonist wakes up in their bed as if from a nightmare.

Player Character – Protagonist

The empathetic and courageous hero. They have a noble drive to help others and an innocent curiosity about the other unique worlds, as they grew up in the Medieval Fantasy world of Albion. This is their identity. Their personality however depends on the player’s dialogue and story choices, which will affect the experience of NPC interaction but not drastically alter the story in any way. The player can play the protagonist in any way they choose, able to pick any one of the four dialogue demeanors each time. So, they can always pick the same option or pick the one that best suits the situation in their opinion.

Lore (simplified)

Among the sea of stars, the known worlds were formed. Kingdom hearts is the world where life began. It cast out a cosmic net in all directions (like a spider’s web) to capture the other worlds and hold them stable, sharing life along the strands of the net and life began on those worlds.

However, there was a world that was not captured by the cosmic net, the Dark World, and life grew there anyway, empty life, Heartless. The Dark World floats around the sea of stars, occasionally passing nearby worlds held by the cosmic net. The creatures here occasionally swim through the sea of stars seeking out life to devour to fill their hollow void.

Vedshala was the fastest growing world and learned to peer beyond their world and observe the cosmic net. The people created Keys that could call and open doors that accessed The Strands of the cosmic net and allowed travel to other worlds. These keys would become the Keyblades after the Heartless made contact with Vedshala and the conflict began. From Vedshala the Heartless gained indirect access to The Strands and can now travel to other worlds through the void in-between.

Power Rangers In Space / Mighty Morphin’ Space Rangers

1. Change Nothing!

2. The transition from Turbo to In-Space was perfect!

① Four de-powered rangers commandeer a space ship, one stays behind.

② While in space they meet Andros and he begrudgingly recruits them as his new Space Rangers.

③ The rest is history.

3. The Zordon Era ends with the sacrifice of Zordon to wipe out evil within the reachable galaxy, transforming powerful evil beings to average people (either restoring them to what they once were, or giving them new bodies), and disintegrating minions and puppets with no soul of their own.

Turbo: A Power Rangers Movie & Power Rangers Turbo / ‘M M’ Turbo rangers

1. REPLACE JUSTIN! Write a better character to fill Rocky’s role.

2. The Turbo Powers were envisioned by Billy during Zeo as a contingency power set in case the rangers ever lost their powers again (like when Rito destroyed the Thunder powers, or the Aquitians needed to use the Ninjetti Powers to return home) that Zordon and Alpha secretly continued to create and improve upon after Billy left.

3. The 5 Zeo Crystal shards are used to create the Turbo Keys. This better explains why the Zeo Powers vanish and are never used again. The rangers have to sacrifice them to activate their new powers.

Zordon: “Rangers, remove the Zeo Crystals from your morphers. Alpha will reconfigure them into keys for your new Turbo Morphers. An even greater power left for us by Billy”.

4. The story continues as it did with Tommy, Adam, Tanya, and Katherine handing over their powers to T.J. Johnson, Carlos Vallerte, Ashley Hammond, and Cassie Chan half way through. Now for the first time the roster is entirely new rangers, including the new blue ranger introduced at the start.

5. The story concludes with the departure of Dimitria and The Blue Senturion to help planet Eltar which is under attack, and the destruction of the command center soon after. The rangers commandeer a space craft and follow Divatox into space to rescue a captured Zordon, despite losing their powers.

Power Rangers Zeo / Mighty Morphin Zeo Rangers

1. Because there is a lack of rangers on earth, Zordon and Alpha-5 use the Zeo Crystal shards to create 5 new ranger morphers. There a brief moment of contention between everyone as they silently wonder who will have to go without a morpher. Billy and Matt both decide to resign from their roles as rangers.

① Billy believes he’s better using his brain than fighting. He opts to remain in the command center, working alongside Zordon and Alpha.

② Matt found other ways to be helpful to the team and in Angel Grove during Ninjetti, and feels fulfilled with his time as the white thunder ranger.

2. Tommy feels he can still contribute best as a ranger and so rejoins the active team as the new red ranger after a heart-to-heart with Rocky who says that leading the Ninjetti team was tough and it isn’t in him to continue in a leadership

role, but Tommy’s greater experience makes him the best candidate. Tommy encourages Rocky on his time as leader, but ultimately respects his friend’s wishes. (This is Tommy’s first time leading in this continuity).

3. Tanya Sloan accepts the role of Yellow Ranger offered to her.

4. Thanks to the successful creation of the Zeo Powers, Zordon sends a message to Ninjor that the Ninjetti powers are no longer required on earth, and he is free to keep them or bequeath them to whomever he believes is worthy of the power.

5. Zeo progresses the same as it did in the show, with Jason returning as the Gold Zeo ranger, and the eventual full retirement of Billy at the end of the season.

Mighty Morphin Ninjetti Rangers

Season 3 will have the ranger suits change to the Kakuranger suits because it’s a

new power set. This could occur in one of two ways: ① Faithful ② Varied

1. Rito Repulsa destroys the Thunderzords and Thunder Ranger powers.

① Matt sacrifices himself to protect the team from Rito’s attack, because of his

“6th ranger status” from the light of goodness he is more powerful than the

rest of the team individually, but sustaining great injury in the process. This

path reduces the roster to 6 which matches the original story but requires

additional costumes and new footage.

② Tommy and Matt, both sacrifice themselves to protect the other rangers

from Rito’s attack, receiving great injury and taking them both out of

commission. This path reduces the roster to 5 which allows adaptation of

Kakuranger footage.

2. Zordon sends the active rangers to Ninjor, who grants them a completely new set

of powers, the Ninjetti powers. (① The change of Kimberly’s suit color is easily

explained that it is a new power set, not an upgrade to the previous, the reality

is that it’s because Tommy becomes the white Ninjetti ranger for the falcon

zord). Ninjor comes with the rangers to earth to oversee the use of the Ninjetti

powers and assist where he can. ① Matt ② Matt and Tommy stay in recovery

stasis chambers in the command center, or they are in a normal hospital with a

cover story about how they got injured. 3. Using their new powers, the Ninjetti rangers protect earth while the injured

recover. The new ninja-based powers take time to get used to and Rocky, while a

4. Once they are mostly recovered, ① Matt ② Matt and Tommy provide emotional

support to the team and try to alleviate their guilt and anger over the

circumstances that led to the injuries.

5. New character Katherine is brainwashed by Rita and becomes her spy, feeding

Rita information and delivering the rangers misinformation. But she ultimately

aids the rangers. She takes Kimberly’s place when she leaves the team. (Exactly

the same as in the show, no change to that story arc.)

6. Rita uses her magic to turn the Ninjetti rangers into children. So Zordon calls his

allies, the Aquitians, to temporarily become rangers on earth. ① Matt ② Matt

and Tommy offer to become rangers again, but Zordon refuses. Zordon doesn’t

want to recruit innocent humans in the middle of a situation to form a new team,

and save the world mid-crisis, it would be too much and the risk of exposing

everyone’s identities grows. An already established team from off-world is the

safer option.

7. Ninjor facilitates the transfer of ownership of the Ninjetti morphers to the

Aquitar allies and they fill in for the now child rangers while they travel through

time to recover the 5 Zeo Crystal shards. Aisha stays in the past and Tanya

Sloan comes to the present. The rangers are returned to their older bodies.

8. The Aquitian ship was damaged in transit to earth (or during their time there)

and the life support system is irreparable, so the Ninjetti powers are needed for

the journey home to Aquitar with the promise they will be returned when the ship

is repaired or a different ship can be used to return to earth. Ninjor travels with

the Aquitians to safeguard the Ninjetti powers.

Implementing the use of Dairanger suits into Mighty Morphin Power Rangers

Angel Grove early in the show. He shares similar qualities with Jason and

Tommy.

3. Tommy leaves after losing his powers because he feels less dependable and

capable. The same as in the show, he leaves Angel Grove to discover who he is

without his powers.

4. Matthew Cook is revealed to the rangers as the new White Ranger.

5. Tommy returns from his “journey of self-discovery” at Zordon’s request to mentor Matt. Zordon hopes that Tommy’s experience as a later addition 6th

member will be invaluable to mentoring Matt.

6. Zordon and Alpha have a secret plan to stabilize and empower the Dragon Power

Coin, by utilizing both the “light of goodness” and the “power of thunder” which

created the white ranger and other thunder rangers respectively, which comes to

fruition and they offer the Green Thunder Ranger power coin to Tommy.

① Tommy’s Dragonzord is also reenergized as the Dragonzord-Turtle-Carrier-

Thunderzord (renamed from Tor the Shuttlezord in the same silly fashion as

the rest of the thunderzords).

7. Jason, Zack, and Trini leave for the peace conference in Switzerland, and

transfer their powers to Rocky, Adam, and Aisha.

Super Saiyan Rewrite

Saiyan Arc: after Vegeta creates his artificial moon and transforms into the mighty Oozaru, Goku has his realisation that he was the giant ape that killed his grandfather. The emotional turmoil and exposure to the artificial moon causes Goku's tail to regrow and he also transforms. Through his superior mental acuity in the Oozaru form, Vegeta wins the fight and pulls out Goku's tail. Gohan and Krillin save Goku, but then Gohan also transforms under the artificial moon. Vegeta: "Oh god, again?", but he is also successful in removing Gohan's tail. Unlike in the original story, it is now that Yajirobe swiftly cuts off Vegeta's tail while he is distracted by his triumph. From now the story progresses similarly, with Goku allowing Vegeta to leave Earth alive.

Freiza Arc: Things go the same way with some moments of wishing that, while the Oozaru transformation is a wild thing, it might have been helpful against Freiza so Holy must rely solely on the Kaioken. Until Freiza kills Krillin and Goku transforms into a super saiyan.

Cell Games Arc: Cell is lording his power over everyone and tormenting Gohan on Goku's promise of a sleeping power. When this power does emerge, Gohan taps into the Oozaru transformation despite not currently having a tail, and combines it with his active Super Saiyan transformation.
