For a moment, she took in the woman’s appearance. She didn’t appear to be confused. Maybe she was here to see King Oropher? Or just a passersby? Maethriel felt her cheeks burn slightly.  Shaking her head, she smiled. 

"No, you don’t. I’m sorry for assuming, my Lady." She bowed at her waist. "My name is Maethriel Idhrenel.” She peeked though her hair, seeing past the she-elf and up. The sky was starting to turn turn pink, orange and red. If she wasn’t back soon, her father would send out a party. “Are you here to see King Oropher?” 

Her head tilted for a moment and a slow smile formed. "You are quite polite." She noted while the smile widened and she leaned more against the tree. Her legs were starting to ache, but it was a good sort of ache. The kind that came from activity and she relished in it. Resting, however, was also something she would relish in. "But do not apologize, I gather visitors do not come here often?" She had no idea why, honestly, but she knew better than to say more.

"Maethriel. That is a lovely name. It is good to meet you. I am known as Caurînel." The mention of the king made her shake her head. She knew better than to walk into those halls. There was a good chance she would be recognized. And, after all--Findekàno was supposed to be dead. And the Noldor would not be highly received. If she was recognized.

"I am not. I am simply traveling through. Does one need a purpose to visit such a glorious place?"

          A quick glance around assured her that she was—indeed—at the right house, but returning to the stranger, she surmised that she wasn’t the one who was lost. “Unless I have recently fallen and hit my head—and I haven’t—you have the wrong house.”

She physically took a step backwards, dark eyes narrowing in confusion more than anything now. That couldn't be right. That couldn't be remotely right. "That is... impossible." And it was. By tradition, none held the same name--male or otherwise. Brows knitting together, she tilted her head, dark hair falling as she did. "That is impossible because that's my name." Yet, there was no outward sign of dishonesty on the other's form. (Not that she was a particularly good lie detector, but she knew the basic signs) 

He looked just as confused as she did. "Either we are both telling the truth, or one of use is lying..." How were they to discover which? Honestly, this was just making her head hurt.
