Kai was snooping through whatever he could find in closet. He was still trying to clean out everything from it. He sighed and started to throw away old drawings he had. A few minutes later he heard a knock on his door and he put the things on the counter in front of him.
He opened the door and looked around, confused because no one was there. He shrugged and then looked down and saw the head. “What the fuck.” He said and started coughing a bit when he smelled the wolfsbane. He kicked the head away and caught his breath a bit and walked out of his room. “Okay, I’m not in the mood, so I would like show yourself. Maybe I’ll go easy on you and let you live.”
Alex waited by the end of the hallway for Kai to open the door. Counting the seconds, he had to make sure he had an opening to shoot Kai at. He was aiming at Kai’s head, but the point wasn’t to kill him just yet. No, shooting the arrow at Kai’s head was too easy for Kai, he could catch the arrow. What’s why Alex laced the arrow with wolfsbane too, so that when Kai caught it, he’ll get hurt by the arrow. Next was the light and smoke bombs, just to temporarily blind Kai’s senses and allow him a space of time to move to a different place so Kai couldn’t track him.
Alex felt his heart start to race as he saw Kai standing there. He fought away the feelings, only repeating his code over and over again in his head. He planned out this moment precisely. If he knew Kai that well, he would be able to kill him in a snap. His plan was to stall, and wait. If he ended up agreeing to help Alex, then he knows this plan will go through. If he doesn’t decide to show up, Alex had a back-up plan just in case. One person couldn’t take down Kai, he knew that he could take him down himself, but he knew that there still was that side to him that wouldn’t let it happen.
Alex took a deep breath and aimed the arrow at Kai’s head, he was getting ready to aim and shoot when he felt himself get a change of heart. He fought it as best that he could, but it wasn’t enough. He loves Kai too much. Not thinking, he shot the arrow straight past Kai’s head, missing him by a margin. “Fuck.” He said, cursing under his breath. He pulled out the light bombs from his jacket and threw them in Kai’s direction. They went off, leaving the hallways to light up. He then got out his smoke bombs, throwing them next. Smoke started to fill the hallway, bring a small hallway, the smoke spread throughout the space easily, and the scent was strong enough that even Alex couldn’t smell anything.
He put on a gas mask and ran down the hallway and got out his handcuffs. He slid as he got closer to Kai to maintain low visibility. He grabbed one of Kai’s hands and put the cuff to it, then grabbed the together and attached it to that. He pulled out his knife and stabbed Kai in the back, not lethally, but just enough to cause some damage to him. He quickly got his footcuffs and moved quickly to them on Kai. They might not last long, because he knew Kai was strong, but he just needed to stall for him to get here. He got his knife again and this time cut Kai down by his knees so that he could fall to the ground. When Kai did, he pulled out another pair of handcuffs and handcuffed the first part of handcuffs and the footcuffs together, leaving Kai on the ground with his legs and arms pulled back.
As the smoke started to clear, he saw Kai clearly now. There was blood on the floor around him and he was on the ground, obviously in an uncomfortable position. His heart stopped slightly when he saw Kai like this, and his first instinct was to take off the handcuffs and patch Kai up, but he fought it and looked down. He fought the tears in his eyes, knowing that he did that to Kai. He took a deep breath, and reminded himself of what happened two weeks ago, letting the anger drive him and allow him to go through with killing his husband. “Go easy on me?” Alex scoffed. “You wouldn’t be able to if you tried, Malachai.” He kicked Kai over and smiled down at him. He leaned in onto Kai’s face and looked at it carefully for the last time. “You can let me live all you want Malachai, I’m already dead inside. It wouldn’t make a difference. But you though.” He put his knife up to Kai’s neck. “That’s a different story.”
He stood back up and leaned back on the wall. He started playing with his knife, throwing it up and down in his head as he stood over Kai. “You know, when I left two weeks ago, I was heartbroken. So incredibly heartbroken, and so incredibly pissed.” He threw his knife right at Kai’s left, aiming straight at the thigh. He didn’t miss, which made himself flinch inside. He didn’t want to hurt Kai, but he fought it. “Why? Because you know, you told me I had nothing to be jealous about. Nothing. Could you believe that? You thought, that I got over you as easily as that.” He pulled out the knife from Kai’s leg and started walking around. “You’re a dumbass, Malachai. A fucking dumbass. For whole weeks, I thought about what to do. Running away isn’t an option. I did that and you still haunted me. Killing myself? There’s not pleasure in that. You? Now that was an option.” He threw the knife again, this time into Kai’s stomach.
He leaned down to Kai again, and grinned at his face. “You’re not even Kai to me anymore. No, you’re just Malachai Hale. You’re not my husband. You’ll never be my husband. My husband is long dead.” He kicked the knife into Kai’s stomach. “All you are to me is another werewolf to kill. Now I’m just going to wait for a good friend of mine to get here so he can help me in your death.” He pulled the knife out of Kai and walked back to the wall. He looked at the time and decided to wait another ten minutes before just killing Kai himself. He played with his knife again, deciding to not pay attention to Kai.
He started to space out, flipping his knife up and down in his hands. He thought about his time in Beacon Hills, his time talking to his family about Kai and what Kai did. They offered to kill him themselves, but he couldn’t do that. He had to see Kai’s dead body himself, and he had to make sure he was dead. He didn’t want him dead though, but it was the lesser of two evils. It was either let Kai live, and live the rest of his life knowing that Kai might not love him back, or kill him and live his life without him. A life without Kai was better to him than a life without his love. So, he decided to kill Kai, but he knew that he might no be able to do it. He wasn’t going to let his family do it, he wanted someone who he knew could kill Kai. Someone who has killed Kai before.
He thought back to meeting up with Dante at Beacon Hills. It was hard, seeing Dante and not wanting to punch him the face. But this was another lesser of two evils. Choosing to go alone meant Kai could live, having Dante help him meant that he knew Kai would die.
“It’s a pleasure to see you again, Alex.” Dante smirked as he look at Alex, which stared at him back with eyes ready to kill, but held himself back. “I don’t want to play games, Dante. I have an offer for you, and I know you’ll like it.” Alex said, voice stern and cold as ice. Dante leaned back on his truck and raised an eyebrow at Alex. “Are you going to offer me sex again?” He asked cockily. Alex rolled his eyes and crossed his arms. “I’m not asking for sex. I want you to help me kill Kai.” Dante snorted at Alex’s word, chuckling a bit. “Kill Kai? Are you serious? Is this some kind of joke?” Alex looked straight at Dante and gave him a death glare. “I want him dead. As soon as possible. I leave for Lima in two days, and I want to make sure that he’s dead for sure. I can kill him, but I could always have second thoughts at the last minute. I need you there with me to make sure that he died no matter what.”
Alex went into his car and pulled out a backpack “You might not think I’m serious, but here’s my proof that I am.” He opened it, revealing stacks of money. “I stole this from my family. I’m paying you ahead of time. I’ll be at his apartment building in two days, right at noon. You know where it is.” He went up to Dante and pushed the bag onto him and pulled Dante’s shirt towards him and left their faces inches apart. “And if that’s not enough to convince you, Kai will be dead. I don’t care about him and his pathetic life anymore. I’ll be your toy all you want. You can play with me and my feelings, lead me on, anything like that. Do whatever you want to me after he’s dead. I’ll be the blunt of all the torture you want.”
Alex focused back onto reality when he head the door open down the hallway. He looked over and got his gun ready to shoot anyone who wasn’t Dante. Lucky for the person, it was Dante. He started walking down the hallway, gun in hand, with a strut of pride, ready to kill Kai a second time. Alex got up from the wall and smiled when he saw Dante come in, and looked over at Kai. “Looks like my friend decided to come and help Malachai.” He threw the knife one last time at Kai, aiming it right where the heart is. He smiled and leaned in. ”Say hi to Austin for me, alright? And tell him sorry about his head. I didn’t want to use Jason’s.”
He stood back up to and started to slowly to walk to Dante, once he was close to him, he felt himself get taken over completely. He wanted Kai to hurt bad. He grabbed Dante and kissed him, right in front of Kai. He didn’t close his eyes like he normal does, he kept his eyes on Kai, smirking as he kissed Dante, knowing that Kai didn’t like it. He pulled away and whispered into Dante’s ear, playing with his hair, in a flirty manner. “I’m glad you accepted my offer, Dante.” He stepped back and faced towards Kai. “Looks like it’s time for you to go.” He grinned evilly, ready for Kai to died in front of his eyes.
Dante pulled up his gun and aimed it at Kai, Alex braced himself to celebrate, anticipating Dante pulling the trigger. But then, Dante faced the gun at Alex, and shot at his chest, sending Alex to fall to the ground. Alex touched his chest and looked up at Dante, noticing blood in his hands. “What the fuck, Dante?!” Dante smiled and pointed the gun at Alex’s head. “The money was fake.” He pulled the trigger a second time and shot straight at Alex’s head, making his head fall straight to the ground. His eyes started straight at Kai, empty. His chest stopped moving. Alex was dead.
Dante looked over at Alex then at Kai and sneered. “Pathetic.” He put the gun away and wake out of the building, leaving Kai alone with Alex’s dead body.
