Xavier is the son of Diego Silva and lived the first 8 years of his life on Silver Spur Ranch. When his parents divorced, his mother moved him and his two younger siblings to Denver. He visited Lockwood often, especially on weekends and holidays.

He’s always been a little reserved and his heart is in the right place but he naturally gets drawn to chaos and trouble sometimes. You’ll never find him starting fights but he does intervene and try and put a stop to them.

Xavier has always been resentful towards his mother for moving him away from family and this resentment showed up in the form of not being the best student. While Diego was imprisoned, Xavier started following the same path as his father. It was fairly secretive but got more obvious by the fact he didn’t graduate and didn’t go to college.

By the time Xavier was 22, he was a drug runner and dealer. He even dabbled in using. He’s lost his way entirely and eventually his mother kicked him out.

He moved back to Silver Spur Ranch last year, patiently awaiting his father’s release. He’s got better at keeping himself out of trouble but there is a war of good vs bad in his mind. Sometimes he strays from the good path, and walks right into the bad one.

Loves his Silva family more than anything.

Has a broken relationship with his mother and doesn’t want to fix it anytime soon.

A tiny bit awkward but also very reckless, he doesn’t make the smartest choices. Is more addicted to escapism than actual drugs. 

Secret hopeless-romantic.

“I literally have no idea where a compliment was in any of that.” Teddy laughed at him, watching him cough up a laugh for a moment. She didn’t even ask if he was okay, just swatted his finger down before she burst into laughter at his stupid joke. “That wasn’t even funny, that was the dumbest thing you’ve ever said.” she retorted, crossing her arms as she faced towards the stable door. She felt stupid for thinking he was about to kiss her because that’d be weird, they’d been friends since forever. It was stupid, and she felt stupid. “I didn’t…” she tried to maintain an aloof tone but Xavier’s hands at her face shut her up quite quickly. And the kiss did. She wasn’t sure how to feel about it, somewhere between a sense of relief and anxiousness. But she followed the lead of it, snaking her hand into his hair as she moved to him, getting lost in it enough to not hear the rustle of footsteps while she climbed into his lap.

For the life of her she couldn’t remember if she put the harness away when she brought Vlad in from his run. Rigo had distracted her with some story and then Tristin came bounding out of the house yelling about the internet being out which of course is an emergency to anyone born after 1999. The only way she was going to stop thinking about it was to just go check. Sofia made her way out to the stables and hesitated when she saw the light peeking from under the door. Lola? No she just saw her in the house. Did she forget to turn the light off, too? She sighed, sure she was starting to lose her mind. Taking a few steps inside the stable, however, she saw why the light was on. Her arms crossed over her chest and she cleared her throat. “Just friends my ass.” The good part was that it was Teddy. She liked Teddy. But she was a bit miffed at her nephew lying to her up and down not too long ago about what was going on between them. ( @xaviersilva )

“Yeah you would know about dumb things.” Xavier laughed but was more attentive to stroking his thumbs against Teddy’s jaw as they both moved back in. It felt like it was years in waiting, thinking it would never happen in Denver either and even worse when Xav got back to Lockwood because Teddy had become elusive and evasive. But the kiss felt right, even as Teddy moved to straddle him and his hands dropped to her hips, it felt right. He almost didn’t hear the movement nearby, not until the familiar voice sounded out and he broke the kiss to peer beyond Teddy’s shoulder. His face was a picture, a deer in headlights mixed with a half-baked grin from the blunt. “Shit! Sofia!” Xavier forgot just how tiny Teddy was and from his panic he pushed her off him with more strength than was needed, trying to sit up as nonchalant as possible. "That was...we were...that was just...we were just talking, right?” he glanced to Teddy and then back to his tia. “Just talking, it was just a talk. diego wants to allow xavier’s words to sink in but the passionate energy emitted from his son instead makes him raise a finger. ‘watch your language, xav.’ he points and reminds him firmly and quietly. there’s guilt there too, making him wonder if he has accidentally glorified the life to his son. made it look easy, or something to be proud of. ‘i just think nows not the time, xavier. a lot is happening, a lot has happened. what would you say if isaac or abril were asking right now? you’d laugh at them, right?’ diego uses the younger two as an example, hoping to show xavier his own reasoning. ‘i’m not saying no, i’m saying not now. let’s think on it.’

Xav’s head dropped, forgetting himself around his father made him eat a nice slice of humble pie quickly. “Sorry.” he muttered but he couldn’t help the way his shoulders slumped as Diego continued to say no to him. “That’s so different and you know it, they’re still teens!” he didn’t mean to yell but why was he getting thrown together with his younger brother and sister. It made no sense, he had legally been an adult for a while now. He could legally drink! “But when will be the right time? Like, I get it, it must suck thinking I could get into trouble or whatever but it doesn’t stop you saying no to anyone else!? I don’t get why it has to be me that’s looked out for? I can handle it, I swear.”

“That’ll be three hundred dollars because I’ve got all three properties and another three because of the hotels.” Evie reaches across the table and preemptively collects from Xavier’s cash pile. “Thank you for expending Mendez Enterprises, Xavi,” she grins, “I appreciate your support.” It’s a rainy day off and she’d offered to watch Tristin who had a cold so Sofia could handle some things around town. He’d gone for a nap and she’d convinced Xavier to play a game of Monopoly because for some reason she and Roman were banned from playing it at any family gathering which was a little excessive in Evie’s opinion but whatever. “Your turn.” She hands him the dice and glances over her shoulder towards Tristan’s room, listening for any sign of her nephew waking. Though she’s kept the truth of the DNA results to herself, and though she’d always considered him her nephew, there was something more special about knowing that he definitively was. @xaviersilva​

Being competitive isn’t a problem if you’re actually good at any kind of game. Xavier almost threw his cash at Evie before she grabbed it, but remembered himself and how pretty she was. “What the...” he frowned, gesturing widely instead and trying to not let the sore loser in him get the better of him. “How...but all you did was...” he scratched his head, looking at the board in front of him like it was mocking him. “You didn’t even do anything!?” he gasped, feeling defeated already when it was his turn. He wished his brain didn’t turn into slightly set jell-o just wobbling around in his skull whenever someone explained rules to him. He threw the dice, looking at the number four it turned up and then sighing as he moved the counter along. “GO TO JAIL!? WHAT!? THIS IS...HOW IS THIS FUN EVIE?”

“you can stay, mijo. i’ll be making your favorite.” carina suggests with a hopeful look in her eyes. returning with groceries to see her eldest on the living room couch brings back both fond and bitter reminders of why they’ve ended up where they are. she has a lot to apologize for. for not understanding, for being scared and wanting the best for him. the conversation can’t happen suddenly, or in front of isaac or abril so she tries to catch xavier’s eyeline with her own. hopefully he can see there’s a lot she needs to say. “did you boys have fun? is ab in her room?” she then asks, keeping her tone as light as she can. trying to pretend everything is normal. “your father said the other day, it made me laugh, actually. he thought the l.e.d strip lights were for stripclubs.” she chuckles as she unpacks the groceries, whispering a thank you to isaac for helping as she then looks to xavier again. “has it been good? seeing him?…living with him?”

“It’s fine. Already ate.” Xav shrugged and moved to his feet, out of habit he wanted to help his mother but instead he threw his coat on and grabbed his keys. “Besides, Sofia makes a big serving for everyone so, wouldn’t wanna be rude since you know...” She took him in and did what a mother was supposed to do, forget all the times Carina tried to help him. He nodded about the time with his brother and sister and then looked to the stairs as his mother did. “Was good yeah, Ab’s gone out with some friends she said you already said it was cool so I just drove her there.” he then explained without much heart in anything he said to his mother. He barely laughed at the attempt for conversation too. “Hilarious.” he muttered through an airy noise. “Um, sure. I mean, when he eventually got out it was cool. Before that I was just...it was Sofia doing all the hard work.”

The ranch was getting fuller, with old and new faces but Xavier always remembered Silver Spur being like that. He also had strong memories of Logan, overshadowed by Rose’s death and him leaving when Xav was eight. Nobody knew that things could get worse than that, but they did. They stayed in contact as they got older but then like life always happened, things faded. But, back in the flash it felt like no time had passed at all. “Wait, what? You had to do that? Dude that’s fucking gross.” Xavier laughed at the story, shaking his head. “Just poop, everywhere? Like...everywhere?”

When his dad told him that his mom was moving back with Isaac and Abril, Xavier was only excited to see his brother and sister again. Carina wasn’t much of a mom in his eyes anymore. Their relationship had suffered long before she ever sent him to Lockwood and Xavier took the rejection to heart. Still, knowing he’d get to be a big brother again made the tension feel a little better. Plus, he had taken Isaac and Abril out for food and then came back when he knew she wasn’t there. After a few games with his brother, Xavier didn’t even realize the time until Carina entered and he awkwardly switched his laughter to silence as he watched her. “I better go, man. I’ll text.” he mumbled to his brother, grabbing his keys.

diego listens, thinking it serves him better to talk less in this moment. to try and hear exactly what his son is feeling. so, the father nods and gives xavier a sympathetic shrug. ‘i appreciate that you don’t want something for nothing but that’s not how that works.’ he schools him quickly with a warm tone. ‘we don’t have each other’s backs because we’re gonna get something out of it, we do it because we give a shit about each other. no one here will just let you struggle just because you haven’t got a title.’ diego walks with him, drawing closer to the main home and pausing. ‘xav, you can do anything you want. we’ll help you get there, all of us pulled together to help little teddy get to college, it’s what we do. you don’t see her coming to the clubhouse asking to prospect. or us not checking in on pheobe because of it.’

Xavier didn’t know what his father wanted him to say. When a Silva had something in their mind it was difficult for it to go away, and Xavier had been thinking about it for the whole time he was living on the ranch. Watching the camaraderie, the sense of purpose. Pretty much the two main things he always wanted. “Okay?” he shrugged widely. “I’m not them, though? I don’t want people having my back if the only way I can have theirs is saying, oh I’ll get my dad to help.” he scoffed because it sounded so dumb and weak even just quoting it. “I can do anything I want except join you? I’ve always thought you were the coolest fucking person, dad. I don’t give a fuck what the newspapers said, or what you’re trying to scare me from. I feel ready, like I was made for it.”

                                                     “No, you’re just a baby.” Lola laughed, poking her nephew in the shoulder firmly. She swung her legs as she sat on the fence, humming as she thought. “It’s hard to explain but usually, when there’s a party, Xavier Silva is not sat at the sidelines. The only person I haven’t seen here yet is Theodora Prescott.” she shrugged innocently. “See? Not psychic. Just clever.” she laughed and then nodded. “If you don’t hurry up and do something about it, I just might. She’d be a cute girlfriend.” Lola teased him and tilted her head. “For me, anyways. Not for slow Silvas.”

“You’re like 4 years older than me? Shut up.” Xavier tried to wriggle his shoulder away from her fingers, laughing It was true that he never hated parties but this was different. He was worried Teddy wasn’t going to show her face and it’d be awkward because he kissed her, but she wanted him to? “I could just be sitting down because I need to rest from having fun?” he replied to her. He tried to laugh about Lola’s words but he knew she’d end up reading him like a book. “Do you think this is why everyone let you go to California so easily? Because they were getting sick of you being so...” He couldn’t call her accurate right now. “Weird?”

“Thanks, that’s exactly what I was going for. Being called dumb instead of just admitting it’s different math.” Teddy laughed at him, elbowing him back. She tried to take his high talk seriously, nodding at the attempt to make her feel better but she cracked up eventually. “Wow, you should make a cult. The No Sign People. No sign is a sign that everything’s alright on the other side.” she laughed louder but wasn’t blind to their new proximity. It felt good to be this close, but that was probably the weed talking. The compliment sounded strange from his mouth, though because usually they’d fling playful insults around until one of them ran out of ideas but…wait was Xavier trying to kiss her? Teddy froze momentarily but quickly returned the movement only for him to break it entirely. “Jesus Christ.” she said out loud, not meaning to as she had to readjust how she sat. “Was that a prank or something?”

“Maybe you should just learn how to take a compliment?” Xav laughed at her which turned into a quick cough from the smoke. He then nodded, wagging a finger until he was ready to talk. “No Sign Is Fine. That’d be my tagline. Would you be a member?” he teased but he was distracted from the way it looked like Teddy had leaned towards him when he did to her. There’s no way she’d want to kiss him, it was just the blunt making everything seem funnier. But then she huffed and Xavier gave her an offended look. “If you wanted to kiss me you could have just said?” he mentioned with a bravado grin, taking her face quickly in his hands  to turn her to him. Finally, he could do what should have happened as soon as he had his chance when she moved to Denver. Just fucking kiss her.

“Space math.” Teddy mocked him, laughing. “So I’ll just email the NASA people like yo, I can do basic math super fast, hire me.” she faked typing on an invisible keyboard, still chuckling at her own humor. “I think that’s how Neil Armstrong got on the moon, too. Just emailed like, sup I think I’d be great at this and they were like sure.” Teddy’s laughter subsided when Xavier’s question prompted her to think a little deeper, even if the cuddly high she had been embraced in didn’t make any sadness prominent enough to feel. She shrugged a nonchalant shoulder and looked back at him. “Cause if there was something, then wouldn’t I have seen signs and shit about my dad? And don’t say it’s because I’m not looking for them, ‘cause then you’re basically admitting that people only see things they want to see.” she pointed at him in warning as she smiled. “Yeah, guess it is. But you said you don’t believe either so I guess we’re just a couple of saddos.”

Xavier watched Teddy as she mocked him and he laughed along before he nudged her with his elbow to get her to stop. “Alright, damn. You made your point. I’ll take it back then, huh? You’re too dumb to be in NASA.” he grinned at her. His eyes were still on her when he saw her dive into sadder thoughts and he felt bad for bringing up the subject, but he was more distracted at the way his arm was around her because he couldn’t remember ever doing that. Had they always been sat like it? “Maybe not seeing anything is a sign too?” he shrugged because he had no idea how that shit worked. “I don’t know, I feel like my brain is keeping up with my mouth or whatever.” he chuckled slightly. “Yeah, but I’m not that sad around you. You’re always pretty funny. Kinda, before you get a big ego.” he smiled at her, but Xavier was feeling a happy haze around them both and how close they were. It crossed his mind for a second to kiss her and his head dipped before he realized it could ruin everything, so he cleared his throat and looked ahead. “We should get back before anyone realizes we’re gone. Sofia will be on the hunt for sure.”

‘respectfully.’ diego laughs as his head tilts from the weight of his thoughts. he knows the conversation has always been waiting, curling up like a spring ready to release. he simply thought they had more time. slowly, the father guides his son further from the clubhouse with an arm hanging around xavier’s shoulders. ‘i’ve thought about what this talk would look like, a lotta times.’ he admits as they walk together. ‘xavi, you were born into this so it makes sense. but the club is always gonna look out for you, even if you don’t have a patch.’ he explains carefully. ‘one day there might be a time when you won’t have a choice, so why rush? why do you want this so badly?’

Xavier didn’t know what he expected when he made the announcement, but somehow being laughed at was worse than his father being angry. He went quiet as they walked together and he listened to Diego, nodding slightly. “I don’t want them to just look out for me when I haven’t given anything to them. I haven’t been any help to anyone.” he replied, trying not to raise his voice but joining his family meant the world to him. “I want to help, dad. I want to actually pull my weight properly, I guess I wanna grow up and just be a man instead of a dumb kid that doesn’t know what to do.”

                                                     “Well stop making it so obvious.” Lola giggled but it was true, Xavier had a very expressive face but maybe it was because he was family and that’s why she could read him like a book. Every Silva seemed to know what one another were thinking, it was kind of beautiful. “What does weird mean, Xavi?” she laughed again, not offended as she pushed herself up to sit on the fence. “Sit quietly and wait for Teddy, got it.” Lola tried to sound serious before she looked down at her nephew with a grin. “I may believe in fairies and signs from the universe, Xavier but I know a lovestruck man when I see one.”

Xavier rubbed his face and then snorted back at Lola quickly. “Shut up, you’re just psychic.” he combated and laughed even when Lola didn’t think weird was an insult, which he should have guessed. She actually liked weird things and weird people, so he sighed again. “Oh yeah? How the hell do I look lovestruck when I’m just sat here minding my own business?” he took a sip of beer and smacked his lips. “I’m actually curious by the way, since you seem to know everything.” he grinned at her. “Only person talking about Teddy is you so maybe you’re in love with her?”

                                                 Noticing Xavier sitting away from the party, Lola decided to skip over to keep him company. He didn’t feel like a nephew, she looked at him more like a brother in many ways. “I would ask why you look so miserable but I know you’ll say it’s none of my business.” she laughed, offering him a beer as a peace offering before she moved beside him to watch the bonfire. “Are you wondering where a certain curly haired cutie is this evening?” she teased, giving Xavier a big smile. Personally, Lola thought it was obvious how Xavier felt about Teddy but maybe that was her trying to play cupid for the two of them. “Phoebe’s here so…that means Teddy should show her face aaaany second.”

“Only because you always guess what’s wrong like second try, it’s fucking annoying.” he laughed back to Lola. He had no idea why she could easily be so empathetic but he guessed that’s what made her the Lola they all knew. This time around she guessed right first try, but Xavier was too prideful to admit that Teddy hadn’t spoken to him since the kiss. The awkward kiss that Sofia witnessed. “You’re weird, you know that?” Xavi blinked at her and sipped his drink. “Not waiting for Teddy, just wanted to like...sit. Quietly.”

“Don’t think the sun can crash.” Teddy mused as she laughed, before she nudged her hand into Xavier’s shoulder. “Anyways, math and NASA aren’t even the same thing. Just because I can do it fast in my head doesn’t mean I can like…direct ships or whatever the fuck.” she waved her hand, watching as he moved the phone away from her. Passing back the joint, Teddy relaxed back against the wall and chuckled. “Sounds like Lola.” she mused before glancing at Xavier with a raised brow. “Me? Psh. I don’t believe in that shit.” Teddy explained flippantly. Maybe life would feel a bit nicer if she did. “No disrespect to Lol or anything, it works for her so cool but…I don’t see how there’s anything cute or magical happening out there.”

“I think you can do NASA shit. It’s just math...mathified, right? Space math.” Xavier could feel the high taking hold of his brain because his words made sense to him but he knew they didn’t sound right. He was surprised to hear Teddy didn’t have a belief in...whatever Lola called it. Spirituality. He always figured after loss, people wanted to believe in more. It was a delicate subject. “Really?” he leaned a little. “How come?” Xavier was curious now, but his slow reaction time meant he stared at her closely. She was so beautiful, always had been. “Neither do I, I just wanna know why you don’t. I thought you would.” Xavier said quietly, caught off guard by how close they were sitting. “It’s kinda sad to not think something good is like...somewhere.”

there’s a lot of work to be done and diego feels as if his feet have hardly touched the floor since jason’s death. there’s guilt for not being able to spend time with xavier in the recent weeks as diego keeps making promises that unintentionally break when something else needs his focus. as soon as he’s done speaking to a few of his family, he leaves the building and immediately notices xavier lingering nearby. he whistles harshly and signals for xavier to keep walking. ‘what are you doing all the way back here?’ diego asks as he walks over, concerned that the latest drama will be xavier trying to earn a patch. ‘i told you, wouldn’t be long. you don’t wanna go to boots anymore?’

Xavier knew that his dad had a lot of responsibility and that time was always going to be difficult for them to grasp. He wasn’t bitter about it but ever since the death of Jason, Xavier was beginning to feel restless with hopelessness. He knew he belonged to the club just by blood...but he wasn’t a part of it. He forgot just how observant his father was when he was called out. “Just came to see what was takin’ so long.” he answered even though there was far more on his mind. “Yeah, can still go to Boots but I need to talk to you real quick.” he shifted quietly, gaining the confidence to just be out with it. “I wanna become a prospect, and actually be able to do something. I know you said a while ago to wait but...I don’t want to. I think the right time is now...respectfully.”

Teddy wished she could make sense of all the grief bubbling inside of her, and why she chose to point so many fingers at The Keepers. She didn’t have much control over it, it would just appear like a lump in her throat when she least expected it. Another burst of laughter happened at Xavier’s confidence and Teddy nodded before her expression dropped. “Wrong.” she stated, passing the phone back so she could take the blunt. “I don’t think mediums talk about numbers, Xavi.” she chuckled, enjoying the buzz as she leaned back. “Why do you have all that coming up on your algorithm? Are you wanting some answers from the universe?”

“I’m so glad you’re not a rocket scientist or doing shit for NASA, Ted.” Xavier laughed. “Imagine you doin’ all the shit one number out? You’d make the sun crash into us or something.” his foggy brain didn’t really grasp how space worked but it sounded funny, which is all that mattered. He let out a sigh of annoyance when she said he was wrong, taking the phone and putting it to one side as he decided it as enough math to last a lifetime. “It’s Lola.” he laughed. “I think she talks at my phone to try and make me more spiritual so that shit comes up. How’d you know anything about it if you’re not looking for answers too, huh?”
