Xavier | ───── ༺ ♰ ༻ ─────
You’re both lazing about on his couch after a long week of missions. You were exhausted and immediately accepted Xavier’s invitation to rest at his place.
Currently cuddled up on the couch, his head rests against your breasts, eyes closed with bliss as you softly run your fingers through his hair.
You had felt particularly low energy today, so you happily bathed in the sun shining through Xavier’s open windows, his weight against you a great comfort you hadn’t known you’d needed when exhausting yourself for the past few days.
A sharp, searing burn smashes against your abdomen as white-hot pain tears through you. Your body gives an uncontrollable jolt which wakes Xavier from his nap.
Shit, my period’s started.
“Xavy, I need to get up,” you whisper as you sit up. A quiet yawn escapes him as he lets you get up, hand rubbing at his blurry irises.
You let out a startled gasp as your eyes zero in on the small round patch of blood seeping into Xavier’s blanket on the sofa. Oh no.
You flush in embarrassment, yet as another bought of pain slices through you, you double over instead of apologising straight away for the mess. “Shit- ah, I’m so sorry Xavier,” you groan out, “I’ll buy you a new blanket.”
Xavier’s sleepiness vanishes instantaneously, his face mirroring his internal worry as he reaches out to you. He doesn’t care about a little stain of blood, especially when you, his star, is doubled over and shaking in pain.
He’d heard about how painful your periods could be, but this was the first time he’d witnessed just how bad they were. To him, it was much more bothersome seeing your period trouble you so much without being able to do anything to take that pain away.
Before you know it, you’re slung into his warm embrace, cuddled into his neck as he walks into his bathroom and prepares a warm bath for you. As he settles you into the water, it’s warmth instantly soothes your tense muscles and gently warms your cramping stomach.
“Relax. Don’t worry about the mess.” He gives a soft peck to your temple and then departs the room. You can hear the rustling of the sofa and the clank of the washing machine turning on. Xavier…
You feel so precious, so loved by your light.
When you’re done warming in the bath, you put on a pad before Xavier walks back into the bathroom. He cradles you in his arms again as he takes you back over to the sofa. You can’t help but take a peek; Okay, bloods gone. Yeesh, that was so embarrassing.
Xavier clocks your line of sight, and only chuckles as he sits down and cradles you against his chest. “Don’t worry about the sofa, it happens,” he says in your ear softly. “Just focus on me and breathe through it. I’ve got you, my star.”
You’ve never felt so loved.
Zayne | ───── ༺ ♰ ༻ ─────
You’re curled up in a ball on your bed, sheets wrapped tightly around you as you clutch at your squeezing stomach.
Earlier, you had sent a quick cancellation message to Zayne, apologising about something coming up and agreeing to meet at a later date. You’d been really looking forward to going to that macaroon tasting session and you knew Zayne had definitely been salivating at the thought of your day out.
You moan miserably into your pillow.
Yet, your ears perk like a rabbit as your eyes flick to the entrance of your room, quieting down to listen to the pattering sound of work shoes hitting the wood of your floor, before the soft steps of a large man echo in the hallway. Before you know it, Zayne appears in your doorway, a white grocery bag in his hand and a hot water bottle in the other.
“Zayne-” you let out a startled gasp, diving up from the bed as if to prepare to greet him. “Don’t get up,” he tells you as he strides quickly to the side of your bed. He places the hot water bottle on your stomach, a small, miniscule smile pulling at the corner of his lips as you immediately relax under the heat.
“I’ve got some painkillers and snacks. We can watch TV all day, whatever you want to watch.”
Whenever Zayne mentions no documentaries, you’re always up for watching TV all day.
“Thankyou,” you smile at him softly as he gives you the painkillers and then swallow them dry. “Come, get comfortable.” You pat the spot next to you on the mattress, almost melting into him as he lays next to you and pulls you into his arms.
“Relax,” he murmurs into your hair, hand rubbing soothing circles around your aching back as you burrow into him underneath the blankets. “We have the whole day free; we can take it at whatever pace you’re up for.”
You smile into his skin, “Thanks, Zayne.”
He only squeezes you tighter before placing a gentle kiss to your forehead.
You fall in love with him all over again.
Rafayel | ───── ༺ ♰ ༻ ─────
You’re paddling in the water, the sea’s waves calmly rocking into you as you float along the currents.
It’s a lovely summer day; the sun’s shining high in the sky and the cool sea breeze keeps you warm.
“Cutie~” Rafayel calls from behind you, waves rippling lovingly around his torso as he swims nearer to your floating form. “Lets-”
A sudden, sharp pain catapults inside your abdomen. Your body flails awkwardly in the water as you go to hunch over, but your feet aren’t touching the seabed.
Panic starts to rise in your stomach alongside the axe hacking at your insides. You can feel the blood start to leak out of you, and you finally look up at Rafayel with wide, panicked eyes.
He can sense the blood dripping into the ocean. Before anyone else can notice your predicament, he’s on you, his arms going under your knees as he cradles you.
He swims back to the shore with you hiding in his arms and quickly wraps a large towel around your quivering form. “The suns too bright~” he complains before he puts you back in his arms and slings your beach bag and towels over his shoulder. “I want to go home.”
You know he’s covering for you in front of everyone else, knowing you’ll get embarrassed about the red patch starting to show through your baby bink bikini bottoms, and quickly rushes off to the car with you.
On the way, he says “Don’t look at anyone but me, cutie. No one else but me needs to see you today anyway.”
Once you get back to his place at Whitesand Bay, he cleans you up and bundles under his sheets with you on the bed. “Just sleep with me, cutie~” he orders as his hand comes down to settle over your cramping stomach. He warms his hand enough to become your very own personal hot water bottle, and you relax into his embrace, eyes fluttering shut as you finally let your body relax.
He presses a single kiss to your neck before burrowing closer, his arms wrapping more tightly around you. “I’m here, cutie.”
You feel so blessed to be the centre of his attention, to be the one he loves.
Sylus | ───── ༺ ♰ ༻ ─────
You’re exhausted after that high-stake gala Sylus had invited you to come along to. Your adrenaline skydives in almost an instant, your steps heavy and shoulders slumped as you make your way into Sylus’s room.
You know he’s watching you out of the corner of his eyes, brows pinched as he watches your slumped form slowly reach over to the dresser to get your pyjamas.
You place your pyjamas on the soft satin bedsheets before reaching for your zipper and pulling It down. You shrug of the extremely expensive dress Sylus had bought you for the occasion.
You look down to see the beginnings of a crime scene.
Your blood is splattered all over the inside of the dress, smearing and staining the fabric a deep, vibrant red.
As soon as your mind suddenly realises that you’ve started your period, your stomach shatters. Deep, aggressive strokes of pain attack you at all sides as your lower back picks up a low ache.
Your adrenaline has completely left you.
As you groan and clutch your stomach, you finally notice the vibrant red speared all over the inside of your thighs and the lines of blood dripping down your legs.
You look up guiltily at Sylus. “I’m sorry,” you groan, hand running down your face. “This dress probably costs more than a car.”
Sylus doesn’t even glance at the dress as he stalks over to you, noticing the blood smeared all over your legs with a narrowed eye.
The first thing that crosses his mind is threat, yet when he sees your pained face and your hands clutching at your stomach, his eyes soften.
“It’s only silk, sweetie. I’d rather a piece of fabric be stained than see you in so much pain.” He wraps his arm around you before picking you up bridal style, not caring about the blood smearing across his expensive suit shirt.
“But Sylus, your shirt,” you complain, trying to escape from his hold. He only gives a light chuckle. “My shirts have worn much more blood than this, kitten.”
You pout as you wrap your arms around his neck, not being able to stop yourself from wincing in pain as the next bout of cramps rake through you. Your arms go to your stomach, and they stay clenched even as Sylus turns the water on and places you onto the mini bench in his shower.
“I can wash myself up,” you say, not wanting him to have to wipe up your own blood.
“And so can I,” is all he says as he grabs a washcloth, kneels in front of you and starts to wipe you down. One he’s thoroughly soaped you down, he discards his clothes and washes himself down before taking you out of the shower and wraps a big, fluffy towel around you.
He leaves you to sort out your panties before coming back inside to pick you up and carry you back to the bed. Placing you atop the silk sheets, he bundles in behind you and wraps you in his warm, muscly embrace.
“Sleep, sweetie,” he says as he places his warm hand on your abdomen. “I’ll chase the pain away.” He gives a brief kiss to your hair as he holds you tight.
Caleb | ───── ༺ ♰ ༻ ─────
You hadn’t replied nor messaged anyone in the last two days; all you’d done was take some time off work and then burrowed under your blankets for the past forty-eight hours.
You’d thrown up earlier and were currently shivering underneath your bedsheets, eyes clenched shut as you rotted away to the pain, your face pinched with only misery.
You don’t react when your front door clicks open and then closes again, not when feet patter against the floor, nor when a hand smooths down your hair, and a hot water bottle is placed by your hands.
“Caleb.” You greet him lifelessly, eyes still clenched shut as you place the almost scolding bottle at the skin of your stomach.
Caleb let himself in because he knew how you got during this time of the month, having helped you through it for the majority of your teenage years.
The smell of chicken Chow Mein fills your nostrils, and despite your earlier barf, you can’t help the rumbling of your stomach at your comfort food.
“Thought you could hide from me, hey, pipsqueak?” he teases you as he rustles inside his shopping bag. “I know you better than that. Move over, I have your favourite.”
Caleb gives you a knowing look as he passes you your own container before plopping down next to you. The TV is on now at a low hum, the chattering a static buzz in the background as you slurp up your noodles.
You rest your head on his shoulder as you eat in a comfortable silence, his care battering at your heart.
“Thanks, Caleb,” You mumble into your food, pouting at his knowing chuckle. “Anything for you, pipsqueak.”
He leaves a lingering kiss on your cheek, the heat warming its way into your heart.
