the moon is something the violet raven has always adored — ever since she was a child, she’s been spending a lot of time at night gazing up into it’s brilliant light. it always offered her comfort and strength, especially when she began her journey. partly because xayah has always thought it wonderful, partly because her father used to tell her countless stories about the moon and how it’s warriors fight for their own freedom and rights.
and oh, how well does she understand that exactly. ( she was never sure whether these lunari people actually exist or not, but she still respected them endlessly. )
but of course, moon gazing almost never came without any hurt after she lost her tribe — her heart broke just nearly every single time, and as time flied she started becoming numb even to her own emotions. she began questioning these heartbreaks, questioning if her feelings are even real anymore, and no matter how hard she tried to find an answer, she never received it.
maroon stained lips part to let out a small sigh as she’s sitting on the ground curled up against a tree, and her eyes now become fixated on the grass now instead of the moon. behind her, there is the end of a magical forest and a meadow in front of her full of beautiful flowers with vibrant colors. she can’t really put her finger on it but she can feel that she isn’t truly alone here, though in the back of her mind she wonders whether it’s just her paranoia.
