I noticed that Xane works at an animal shelter.

Wouldn't it be funny if the animal shelter that Taura donates meat from is of "nothing questionable" and "100% normal" origin to the place where Xane works?

Xane wouldn't really question it! Xane is a rare person who somehow always trusts the people they know, they never really question Taura on it! for all they know Taura is hooked up with a really odd butcher

Taura is the type of person who finds it easier to feel empathy/pity/remorse for animals than for humans.

Normally, animals don't react to the danger instinct around her because they don't feel she will hurt them.

I love the idea of Taura giving Xane animals from her "prey" to help them find new homes! given how most of Taura's "prey" are mostly un-savory folks who would most likely not treat animals well.

Xane helps rescue mistreated and neglected animals, and Taura gets to check of a kill! it's a win-win!

I like to think they'd be a deer!

Is the surgeon forbidding Xane from drinking the toxicsoda or is he preparing future organs for his child?

The surgeon: I'll save the best organs as a gift for them! How good of a father I am :3

pretty much!!

[THE SURGEON] was never that stingy about what Xane ate as a child, but the one thing he was about was Toxisoda products. it never really affected Xane all that much since soda was never they're preferred choice of drink, but he could never be too safe.

also he is VERY much preparing organs for Xane if they ever did need it. he makes sure Xane's "if needed" organs are placed somewhere special so that they don't get confused with the ones he is made to sell, and he definitely is thinking "I'm SUCH a good dad, look at me go :)"

Have Renee and Douglas met Xay before? What is each of their opinions about the other?

yes! mostly Renee made Andrew play w/ Xane when she wasn't making him deal with Ashley. Mostly because Renee knew Xane's mom and she begged Renee to let Xane and Andrew have a playdate because she was so worried about Xane not having any friends

Douglas always thought Xane was a sweet kid, but not much else than that

later, Xane would move to the same neighborhood Renee and Douglas were, however they never really actively talked because Xane never really had a connection with them like they had w/ Andrew, they actually thought Renee was quite rude if they ever did talk

shortly after they died, Xane just assumed they had moved out, so they never really looked into it

Hey!!

major (sorta) annoncement, the blog and Xay will be getting a bit of a rebrand!

FOR STARTERS!! Xay's name will be changed from Xavier to Xane, this is because I personally do not view this character as a self insert anymore and now their own character

SECOND!! their new design will be based around a mix of their previous designs, red is still their main color but they now have their old shirt back!

their lore is the same with minor tweaks! if you are curious to find out what those tweaks are please feel free to ask!

this change is simply to let me explore Xane more as their own character rather than my self insert! I'm rather happy with this decision since I now feel like I have more creative freedom with them :3

very briefly, yes!

Xay has met them once when they were all children, although not to a very personal level. although that could change if Julia and Xavier where to meet when they are adults :3

history and science! they are working at an animal shelter and are currently studying to become a historian!

Is Xay's mother still alive or present, and how is she?

Victoria Gallows, mother of Xavier Gallows and ex-wife of [THE SURGEON] ; ALIVE

Xay's mother constantly tried to excuse her former husband's actions, it wasn't until years later when Xavier was out of the house that she decided to divorce him. this was when Xavier was out of the house taking a college scholarship. Xavier did not even find out about the divorce until months later.

because of this, their relationship is rocky, but Xavier still calls her and checks on her to make sure she's stable.

she's a fragile woman, easily flinchy.

... she was always weary of Andrew Graves.. she thought he was just a normal boy at first, it wasn't until she saw a violent outburst from Andrew pushing Xavier into the playground sandpit that she started to have second thoughts..
