Them looking on at Pepa who’s having the time of her life, finally relaxed...and just being so happy for her.
I got this commission from @kinschi and I am still just speechless with how it turned out! This is a scene from my fic Gray Skies Are Gonna Clear Up with Pepa Madrigal and my OC Milena Flores. I am forever happy with this beautiful drawing; it’s exactly how I imagined the scene!!! 💖💖

I made an Encanto OC!
After thinking about it for months, and with help and support from amazing people these last weeks, I finally did it...
So I present to you Diego Orozco (who I'll call Diegoo for differentiation purposes)
Its still work in progress but more art and info about him under the cut!

Isabela’s animation test is the best thing ever
Alma: Julieta, you are and your siblings are of an age now that you need to be thinking about marriage. Now I have lined up some eligible men for you and your sister that I think are suitable and worthy of being your husbands.
Julieta: *glances at each of the boys. She knows them all, of course. She’d grown up with each of them. They weren’t really anyone she was interested in.*
*suddenly a man strolls up, tripping over his own two feet, landing flat on his face. It was Agustín.*
Julieta: that one. I want that one.
LEARNING HER GIFT
“Mamí, do I have to?” Little Pepa whined. “I wanna play with my friends!”
Pepa, along with her two siblings, had only recently received their gifts from the candle - the Miracle, and their mother was wanting to make sure they learned to use the gifts wisely. Alma was taking Pepa to Jacinta Flores’ house to water her garden. She was then taking Julieta to the town square with a basket of arepas she had helped make, in hopes of finding someone to try to heal. Bruno would be coming along, too, of course; perhaps someone could use a vision.
“You may play once you water the Flores’ garden.”
“But what if I can’t make it rain?” Pepa still didn’t quite understand the extent of her magic. Did her mother want her to cry? That’s how it rained, right?
“Just try, Pepita; that’s all I’m asking.” Once they arrived at the Flores’ home, Pepa let go of her mother’s hand and ran to greet her friends - the two daughters of Señora Flores - Milena and Nena. “I’ll be back in a couple of hours to fetch you.”
“Are you here to play, Pepa?” Milena grinned, happy to see her friend.
“Yes, but first I have to water your garden. Mamá wants me to use my magic gift.”
“Don’t you have to cry to make it rain? So you gotta think of something really sad?” Milena asked.
“I accidentally stepped on a beetle yesterday,” Nena offered. “That was kind of sad.”
“Poor beetle,” Milena agreed sadly.
“That’s not really sad enough to cry over…” Pepa frowned, trying to think of something sad enough to make her cry. “Oh! Yesterday at school, that older girl Daniela was picking on me again. I think she was mad because I made recess get cancelled with my rain… I didn’t mean to!!” The wind started picking up as Pepa became anxious thinking about Daniela. “She’s so mean!” A cloud appeared above her head and thunder starting rolling.
Though not quite the effect she had wanted, Milena and Nena both seemed impressed. “You made a cloud!” They said in unison, absolutely in awe at the magic.
“Yes, but it’s rain we need. I’ll never get it right…” Pepa’s face scrunched up in frustration before sitting down with a sad sigh. Soon, water began hitting her on the head. She had made it rain! She could now water the garden.
The twins rejoiced and watched excitedly as their friend watered the garden.
“¡Gracias, Pepa!” Señora Flores waved from the doorway of their home.
“¡De nada!” Pepa responded, smiling through her tears that were slowing down. This gift was hard work, but she was determined to figure it out.
“Hooray!” Milena said. “Now we can play! Tag - you’re it, Pepa!” She tapped the girl’s shoulder. “Bet you can’t catch us!”
Pepa grinned, running after the other two girls with a giggle. The running would do her good; she needed to dry off after getting wet from her cloud.

Here is my Encanto fic! I should have chapter five up relatively soon. If you give it a read, I’d be soooo appreciative 🥰
🎶 K-I-S-S-I-N-G 🎶 (summer camp au)
Milena was on her way back to camp after taking a group of kids on a nature hike. She just loved being in the outdoors, sharing her knowledge of flora. She had made up a scavenger hunt list for the kids to search for different types of plants, and they had really seemed to enjoy learning in the form of a game.
They came upon another group of campers in a yoga session with Pepa, and Milena hadn’t realized she’d stopped in her tracks until one of the kids spoke up.
“Why did we stop?”
“She’s looking at Pepa,” another said.
“Because she’s in love with her!” One teased.
“Don’t be silly! They’re both girls!”
“So? Girls can like girls, too!”
The kids arguing snapped Milena out of her trance, and she blushed, clearing her throat. “S-sorry. Move along, children.”
But the kids didn’t quite let up. They started teasing even more in sing-song, as children do.
Pepa was showing the children how to take nice calming breaths to relax and center themselves. A slow, deep breath in. A slow, deep breath out, saying with a long, calming sigh, “Clear skies…” Breath in again…. Clear skies…
“Milena and Pepa, sitting in a tree! K-I-S-S-I-N-G!” the kids started to sing rather loudly.
Milena felt her face get very hot. The children’s teasing had been heard by the other group, and Pepa’s next deep breath in led to a very ragged breath out, followed by an intense wave of anxiety through her body. She glanced back at the group of singing kids, running her fingers nervously through her hair. Milena and Pepa made eye contact for a brief moment, and both girls blushed and turned away quickly to focus back on their group of kids.
Milena hurried her group along, mortified.
