summoning both guns, he keeps them by his side for now. Xigbar gives a single shake of his head before stepping toward her, golden eye gleaming with some form of twisted amusement.

“ well, lucky for you, i have ways of making you talk. ”

his hands have already started shaking, but he tries to ignore that, too. maybe it’s stupid, but he just needs to see that Braig is okay. the response he gets to knocking actually makes the boy smile. he may have giggled in different circumstances, but he’s still a bit shaken, so it will take a bit more for such things to happen. 

he grips the knob and turns, quietly as possible, before pushing in. it’s hesitant, almost timid —– part of him doesn’t actually trust that Braig is decent.  he’s a dirty liar sometimes, and that snicker didn’t encourage Roxas anymore. but he does find that the man is being truthful, and relaxes somewhat. 

he doesn’t close the door back all the way, but he does push it back towards the frame.  “ um … d-do you want me to shut the door back? ” he asks softly, glancing around, trying to let his tears clear up before he gets too close to Braig.

“ if you would, it’d be much appreciated. ”

there’s a soft laugh before he lays back and pulls his legs up as well. turning on his side to look at Roxas, Braig props himself up with his elbow, fingers slipped into jet black locks. he’s somewhat confused at Roxas’ behavior, yet he says nothing of it yet.

“ hey, pipsqueak... everything okay? did Emyd wake you up with that sitar playing of his so early in the mornin’? ”  giving a sigh, he closes his eye and smirks. he had already told him to go to bed, but he had only gotten a ‘ nyeh ’ in response.

“ or... did ya just come to talk? either way, i don’t mind. not gonna be sleepin’ anytime soon. ”
