OPEN TO: Everyone.
“What did they do to you?”
Solan crossed his arms, letting out a soft huff that held no true animosity. “Me? What about you?” His gaze softened into a smile as he took a step forward. “I see you left too. You seem… different. Almost happy, if that’s even possible for you.” He teased, albeit a little awkwardly.
It had been years since he had laid eyes on any of his former family members. After Lucem found him and took him in, returning had never even once entered his mind. He was done with fighting and being treated like some tool rather than a person. Unlike Aris, Lucem treated him like an equal, and as the years went by, like a family.
He is too nonchalant for the situation - Solan always was, even as a child - and Enya makes this known with a single, disapproving glance. Her arms fold across her chest, a sister playing mother with relative ease.
“I didn’t leave, I just…”
Left.
Why was she defending it? She left. All the pain and horrors were in the past and Aris could go fuck himself for all she cared. Let him rot in that hellhole he passed off as a home. But it’s habit, defending him…defending herself…
“Is this where you’ve been this whole time? You found the dragons all those years ago?”
She had been searching ages herself…
“Everyone thought you died, you know.”
DRAGONS' CHILD; @animawolf2000
Tiny wings flutter between small, sharp shoulder blades, barely visible to him now that the fluid had drained and the light no longer traveled through the stone quite as well. When another chunk of the rock gals apart, a tiny hand is revealed - fingers tipped with long, albeit flimsy claws. A second foot follows and the rock shatters, chunks of it falling to reveal the little form in their midst.
The infant instantly falls over backwards, teal eyes staring up at the hovering figure before her. They seemed surprisingly human against the parts of her that obviously were not - the claws, a full set of teeny tiny razor sharp teeth, the orange scales that cap her shoulders and cradle her cheeks, spiraling down to her upper thighs. A pair of wings is pinned behind her back at odd angles from the fall and despite the stillness of her body, a thin scaled tail swishes softly through the sand beneath her.
When her eyes lock with his, she smiles but does not move, watching him with an expression too love struck for a random first meeting.

The moment Kari's palm presses against the polished surface of the stone, the warmth emanating from it seems to steadily grow in intensity. The creature inside begins to move again, thrashing a tail around in what had to be some sort of viscous liquid, though that was only visible through the resistance slightly impeding her movements.
With each move, there's a tap that vibrates through the stone's surface, followed by a crack. They start as thin tendrils in the bottommost layer, visible only if the light hits it right, and then they turn into deep crevices. The liquid seeps from the cracks until finally, a chunk falls away, allowing it to saturate the stone below. Briefly, a tiny human foot falls through the crack before withdrawing, and the motions cease for a moment.

If one were to approach the stone, one would discover the strange qualities of the material. Despite the rough, craggy nature of the surrounding mountains, this stone is perfectly round and completely smooth. The seawater that sprays it during the high tide makes it especially slippery. But the strangest of all is the way the roots from the surrounding forests curl around it like a nest, holding it fast in its spot and if one were to look closely enough in just the right part of the day - sunset, when the sky was as orange as the egg, - one might even catch a shadow of movement, the subtle shape of a hand or foot, or even quick whip of a scaly tail.
Kàri noticed the strangely shaped wrong out of the corner of his and felt compelled to go to it.
As Kari approaches the stone, it seems to take on a faint glow that grows steadily brighter as he moves closer. The air suddenly grows warmer, the smell of the sea stronger, and the roots burst into blossom. There seems to be some sort of energy calling him forward, beckoning him to lay his hands on its surface. Inside, the shadow is more visible, wiggling and turning, shifting from dragon to human and back again.
Kàri's eyes widened as he saw the silhouette from inside the glowing rock as he moved to exam it apprehensively.
As he drew closer, the figure stilled, head turned either to him or away. The shadows did not make that clear, but there's a certain feeling of being watched by something more knowing than it should be.
Inside, an infant watches a blur of movement from outside the orange of its home. It doesn't know how long its been sleeping or how long it has been an infant for this is the first time it has opened its eyes, searching for the comforting presence of a parent. Only that can wake a baby dragon, only that can hatch one.
