UPDATE ON MY LAST POST :

Steve Gabry, the game developer and CREATOR of the sally face game just tweeted on his X (twitter)’s official account today, regarding the saLarry situation, a fan asked what his opinion was on sal x larry and he responded with this :

He literally proved my point, clarifying and CONFIRMING that they are NOT brothers in any way nor do they have a sibling-like relationship, and also saying that he doesn’t have a problem with the ship at all.

He said that they didn’t even grow up together, which was exactly my point and what I talked about on my last post.

Since the actual creator of the game clarified this, I hope it’s genuinely a good enough reason to end this discussion in the fandom because all of it is getting exhausting.

They are NOT brothers and never were.

I hope most of you all will finally start being more open minded and take the word of the game’s DEVELOPER of all people.

If the person who created the game HIMSELF says it’s okay, then it is

If the person who created the game HIMSELF says they’re not brothers, then they’re NOT.

“saLarry” and ship problems in the sally face fandom.

I know I’m gonna get alot of hate on this post but this has to be said.

Please read until the end.

There has been alot and alot of fans in the sally face fandom who are against the idea of shipping sal and larry together

Claiming that they are “brothers”

No. They are not.

People can ship whoever they want without having anyone annoying them and their art/edits or whatever they make about the ship.

As long as they’re not offending anyone, and as long as the ship isn’t illegal or disgusting For example : adult x kid

If you don’t like the ship that’s completely understandable. Just don’t go to people’s art and posts and spread negative comments or say rude stuff just because they ship something you don’t like.

Let’s talk abot saLarry for a moment shall we?

Sal and larry are NOT brothers.

They’re not related by blood, nor were they raised together by the same parents

Sal’s father and larry’s mother ( henry and lisa ) married each other when sal and larry were 17-22.

Which means that they were technically ADULTS when their parents married each other. They shouldn’t be responsible for their individual parent’s relationship especially if they were already dating beforehand. They shouldn’t feel the need to act like “brothers” just because their parents decided to get together when they were adults!

Not to mention that sal and larry did not get raised by the same people or legally adopted by the other’s parent.

So technically they have no sibling relationship between them whatsoever. Either it was blood relation / adoption / or raised under the same roof.

Not to mention that steve gabry ( the creator of the game : sally face ) said that he has no problem at all with any ship in the game. as long as it’s appropriate. And he doesn’t mind people shipping saLarry together. Because they are not real brothers.

So basically there’s nothing wrong with shipping them at all.

No one has the right to write any negative comments or spread any negative energy in the shipper’s posts or arts or whatsoever.

As long as the shipper isn’t problematic and didn’t give you any harm. Respect them and their work.

If you don’t like the ship or the content they’re posting, simply unfollow them, block them, or click “not interested”. This way you’ll not see any content you don’t like to see and on the other hand, the creator will have the freedom to post and ship whoever they want without having anyone judging them for no reason.
