i’ve been away for a while, deleted all my socials and everything, but tonight i drew for the first time in a while. here are a few that aren’t good, but it’s something at least and that’s all i’m going for rn <3

friday 5/1/20

all day today i’ve been rewatching svtfoe stuff, so tonight i drew my favorite couple at the blood moon ball <3 i miss this show so so so much🥺🥺

yesterday i was working on the ellipse lesson from drawabox, but all my pens for that died so i guess i’ll have to wait until after quarantine to continue. other than that i drew a thing from hamilton, but it was based off of another artists work so i didn’t wanna post it since it’s not my idea or anything :)

i’ve also been working on that popular donut tutorial for blender, and it’s super funnnnn. last night i learned how to texture paint something for the first time!

sunday 4/26/20

i hasn’t drawn or worked with blender since that first day again until today. honestly i still didn’t even draw today, but i did do a lot with 3d animation! i did a pretty basic model and rendered something for the first time today (completed level 1 of that iconic donut blender tutorial hahahah). it’s actually reallyyyy fun. hopefully i’ll get myself to do some more art tomorrow too

i literally haven’t posted on this in like more than a year probably, but i’m trying to get back into art so i’m gonna start posting my progress! i’m mostly trying to do a section of drawinabox and a page in my sketchbook daily, but we’ll see how that goes lmao

this is mainly for myself to track what i’m doing to practice & stuff :)

anyways, tonight i did the first section of the first lesson in drawinabox, which was about lines. the exercises may not be the most exciting yet, but ik it’s super important to the foundation of drawing so ik i gotta do them haha

then i drew the main character from the game sayonara wild hearts. i doubt anyone is reading this, but if u are somehow, u should check it out it is the best & has an AMAZINGGG soundtrack. my drawing sucks a lot but hey at least i’m trying 🤡🥳

Fun fact – the final shot was intended to roll seamlessly into the closing credits and so the music was composed to also transition accordingly, but the network required us to separate the show from the credits, so the music got chopped. But now you can hear it all smooth and pretty.

I think the sequence from Marco and Star running to their portals onward is my favorite thing I’ve done for the show. The amount of history and emotions playing into this scene is only something that can happen when you have years of build up, and writing music to accompany the release of all those emotions is truly a gift. 

I have many more thoughts and feelings about the series that I’ll write about later, but for now, I hope you enjoy this music, and I hope you know how much I enjoyed writing it for you.

i absolutely hate it when advice posts tell you to study all the time. i just read one that said, “if you sleep now, you’ll dream. if you study now, you’ll live your dream.” i mean, it could be metaphorical, but it’s actually a really unhealthy message. studying constantly is not healthy. you need to have a balanced life. you need to have a social life, you need to exercise, you need to sleep. how on earth can you be the best version of yourself if you only study? look after yourself. get at least 6 hours sleep a night. eat healthy food. go outside and see your friends. do things that you love. studying constantly, through the night and day, is not good for you at all. and it’s time that the studyblr community learned that.
